We noticed that they floor was warped in front of the dish washer. We had the extended warranty and we called them and the gentleman said the floor is warped. He said it was not treaded right when the water was connected to the dish washer. They retreaded it and they would have to order and new part and come back. They came back later and found did that was not the issue. The issue was that there was a rubber washer inside a connector. There was a metal thing that the rubber fitted against and it moved. It caused the leak and the leak went in the back. It never showed in the back or in the basement. So we have warped floor hear. It is seven boards that are warped and the service people that came out here marked it on the floor.
Description of Work: We got s new GE dish washer and it would not dry the dishes. After 5 service calls and nothing they decided to take it back and gave us an upgrade.

They were great. Because I bought all kitchen aid stuff, they offered me a great price. They were really nice. I got like a $500 rebate and they actually filled out the paper works for me and send it in for me. They are very friendly and their prices are very good.
Description of Work: I just bought all new appliances for my kitchen from Slyman Brothers. I bought a new washer and dryer from them too.

When my refrigerator went out my first thought was to go to a big box retailer so I grabbed my tape measure and headed out. Much to my dismay I could not find a team member to wait on me and I was overwhelmed by the choices. Looking online I was disappointed to learn that most retailers had delivery dates of 1-3 weeks. My brother suggested Slyman Brothers and my search took a turn for the better. Maxx jumped up to greet me when I entered the store. After explaining my situation I gave him the measurements and the features I wanted in a fridge. He showed me what he had available in the store and used his laptop to further search all of my options. Maxx helped me find a fridge that fit my space, my needs and my expectations. In addition, he matched the competitors price. It was Thursday and they were able to deliver the fridge on the following Tuesday. The fridge fit great and it was installed properly. However, there was a manufacturer's flaw on one of the doors. No problem, Maxx came out the next day with a new door. I'm happy with the choice I made. I supported a family owned business, got a great deal and $100 rebate, quick delivery, great customer service and bought American made. Also, I appreciate that they are closed on Sunday.

When we decided to buy a refrigerator, we went to a smaller store thinking we would get better service than a big box store. Took measurements in to make sure the refrigerator would fit and we wouldn't have to move cabinets. We picked out a Whirlpool that the salesman said would fit. When the refrigerator was delivered, it was 2 inches too tall. We had the delivery men take it back. The delivery people told us we just needed to move the cabinet. We indicated we wouldn't keep the refrigerator since it was not the size we had wanted. We also had some confusion with Slyman’s as to whether their deliverymen could hook up the ice maker or whether we had to hire someone to do that. We ended up having to hire someone because we had installed a new kitchen floor and the delivery men didn’t have a drill with them to drill a hole through the new floor to get to the ice maker line. The new refrigerator was delivered and did fit. Soon after the deliverymen left, we realized the freezer door was way out of alignment and the icemaker would rub against the side of the freezer door when we opened and shut the door. Called Slyman's, they did come out right away and tried to adjust the door. They ordered us a new freezer door, which was delivered to our home 8 weeks later. Then we called Slyman’s to install the door. Soon after that the ice dispenser stopped working. At that point Slyman called St Louis Appliance was called to work on the refrigerator. So far St Louis Appliance has made 4 trips to our house. And as any home owner knows, that is 4 days of inconvenience having to be at home to wait for the repairman. Today the repairman told me that they were going to have to order a second new freezer door. I can only assume this one will take another 8 weeks. At least this time, the door will be delivered to the repair company and they will call us when it is in, instead of the door being dropped off on our porch and we have to call to make arrangements to have it installed when Slyman’s replaced it for us. I have talked with someone at Slyman's several times and it has been nothing but frustrating and they have been no actual help at all. I was told I should have refused the refrigerator that was delivered - but we didn't realize how out of alignment it was until after the deliverymen left. I guess our decision to go to a smaller store rather than a big box store for better service backfired.
Description of Work: Purchased a Whirlpool side by side Frig/Freezer on 4-3-13. It is 8-1-13 and we have never had a fully functioning freezer.
