I called Kimberlin Construction. I had various projects that needed to be done around the house. I got a fair quote, professional service and many jobs well done. Follow up on minor problems was prompt. Kimberlin can do about any job you want, they will do it at a fair price and they will do it properly.

All in all they were nice and professional. However, the other contractors all gave us a bid range of $5000-$7000 and none of them mentioned having to remove so much more flooring or our kitchen cabinets to perform the work needed. When having multiple bids and with this one seeming so off base, we decided to go with another company.

The measure took about 30 minutes and then the bid arrived within a couple days. Pretty straight forward, there was also a follow-up call from them as well. They seemed very professional.

Gary was prompt, professional, and courteous. He confirmed my suspicions that the addition, built without a permit by a previous owner, was in such poor condition that it would be more cost-effective to demolish it than to repair it. He confirmed my research about how best to replace the collapsing retaining wall. He also confirmed my thought that the whole yard would have to be regraded, to prevent future water damage to a new wall and any new construction to replace the addition. He was very knowledgeable and willing to educate. Gary gave me a ballpark estimate for the entire amount of work that needed to be done. We decided to go with someone else, though. I took my time and collected estimates from five different landscapers and/or contractors for the work. I liked the idea of using Kimberlin because they were the only company we considered that could handle both the construction and the landscaping work. I had thought that might save money. But Kimberlin's estimate was on the high side. By using a separate landscaper and deck-builder I am spending about 20% less, total. Also, Gary didn't seem to be eager to take on the work. He strongly emphasized how expensive it would be. I had the impression that he thought that the property was not worth the investment. True, property values have dropped quite a lot. But we intend to live here for many more years. All in all, I'd rather work with someone as enthusiastic as my husband and I are about restoring an old house in the city, even if the neighborhood is not high rent.

Gary Kimberlin came to the house to examine the damage within a few hours of my call. He informed me the best way to approach such damage is to mask it since drywall repair often results in the cracks returning or new cracks appearing. He suggested bead board over the south and north walls of the kitchen and living room area with moulding surrounding it. He suggested a beam over the vault to mask the damage. Crown moulding would mask the damage in the bedroom. ---- He scheduled the job and within two weeks arrived with his own people(no subs) to do the work. The job was done efficiently and with minimal disruption. The repair looks good and I expectit will work as designed. ... Kimberlin Construction seems well run, capable, and professional.

Workers arrived timely and worked professionally - very courteous. They improvised repairs as necessary, job completed timely, quality work. Gary Kimberlin is a bit of a "chatty Kathy" but knows his stuff.

Gary and his workers were terrific. We had a previous bad experience with a contractor when we remodeled our basement so we took the time and effort to check out Kimberlin Construction. We read the reviews on Angie's List and also on the BBB website. Kimberlin Construction is AAA rated and there were no bad reviews. In addition, it was a plus that Kimberlin was big enough to do the work we needed but not too big. And they are also located in South County. We dealt with Gary directly on planning the remodeling. We gave Gary our ideas and he came up with a plan to address our needs. His workers were very careful and considerate. They had numerous issues to deal with as the floor from the living room to the kitchen was not level. They had to remove subfloors and put plywood down and sand in order to get the floor level. They took the time to do it right and the flooring they laid down looks fantastic.

The owner returned my call and was able to schedule a time to come out that same week. He was very thorough in describing what needed to be done and writing up the estimate for replacing the fascia and installing gutter guards. We set a time for the work to begin and the owner called me again to confirm the week before work was to begin.The crew that was sent out was very professional and great with my dogs. The boards were more rotten than anticipated. The crew was able to explain the extra work that needed to be done and I felt that the cost was very reasonable for all the extra work that was needed. They did a great job cleaning up after the job was finished.Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. The owner and his crew were great to work with. There are a couple of other smaller jobs I need done around the house and I plan to use this company again in the future.

Gary Kimberlin came in July to my home during a rain storm, he was soaked, but extremely professional and thorough in his assessment. We discussed the work that would be done and scheduled it for a later time. Due to the assesment required by my insurance company, Gary told me he would wait and that he wasn't going anywhere. In October, after the insurance had assesed the damage, Gary Kimberlin and his crew arrived to begin work. He and is crew were friendly and most professional. They were at my home at 7 o'clock on time and ready to work. They repaired my roof, guttering, shingles, facia soffit, brick outer wall, and brick walls around my porch extremely well. They went over and beyond the call of duty, and even plugged holes around my home with concrete. Gary and his crew are number one in my book. The entire job was completed in three days in a most fantastic way. I would highly recommend Kimberlin Construction Company. He definitely knows his job. They are the best.

I did a ton of research to find a company that would fit my needs. I had quite a few bids and ultimately went with Kimberlin Construction. Gary provided amazing customer experience from start to finish. His teams were always prompt and professional and a pleasure to deal with. Gary was on top of every aspect and detail and I completely trust his advice and opinions. He went above and beyond on everything and made sure that we were satisfied with the finished job. There was never a mess to clean up after his teams left. And many times I would find they had done extras that were not even in our quoted price. The finished projects look wonderful. I cannot say enough good about Gary and his team. They truly exemplify integrity combined with old fashioned values. I would hire them in a heartbeat and would hightly reccommend them to anyone looking for any size project.

Gary was very prompt with returning calls and emails, came right out, gave me an estimate and I hired him to do the job. We had a few delays (not at all Kimberlin's fault), but the work is stunning. Gary and his boys went above and beyond! I'd hire them again in a second.

He was very nice. He was very knowledgeable. He seemed to have a lot of advice to provide. We liked him. He was very responsive, and he came out very quickly.

We contacted Kimberlin Construction to help us determine what was needed to repair a water damaged kitchen. Gary was very knowledgable, responsive and provided us with great ideas and assistance in arriving at a insurance settlement and renovation plan.

When the house was first built, the joists were the wrong size. There were 2 x 10 and should have been 2 x 12. He put some support beams in to reinforce weak joists in several places, dug holes and poured piers with wood and cement to support the weak floor, and secured rattling water pipes. He showed me what he was doing so I could see what exactly was going on. I was glad that we finally found someone who knew how to fix it and was willing to do the job. There were a few situations when he wasn't being completely honest, but otherwise he was good at communicating and we got along well.
