Archway Clean Sweep

It was a very disappointing experience (from customer service to actual appt. day) and I would not recommend using them. I called another company and they were absolutely wonderful.

was never contacted nor had any calls returned requesting appointment setting, so service was not done.

It never went! The company never returned my calls nor emails requesting a scheduled date for service. This was over a 4 week time period.

The techs had an equipment malfunction and blew soot into my house rather than out of the house. They cleaned it up and were very apologetic. A short while after they left, the owner called me and apologized. He did not charge me for the cleaning/inspection. In addition, he said that he would give me a free sweep the following season (fall 2016). However, now that I've been calling this season, they won't return my calls to schedule service. If they had been responsive to me and actually provided the next season's service like they claimed they would, I would have given them a good review despite the equipment malfunction.

During the cleaning process Archway Clean Sweep found some problems with the brick which will be corrected at a later time,

The damper was rusted open so they replaced it. They also cleaned our dryer vent (addt'l charge). Very happy with the service

I spent $4400 for to resolve two issues. The solution proposed for the smoke issue did not fix the problem. After Archway performed their work, I burned a fire in the main floor fire place and the basement filled with smoke. I called Archway three times before they responded. When they finally did respond, they failed to show up for three straight scheduled appointments. So, I brought in another company to inspect my main floor chimney...they did it the right way. They took the time to send a camera up the chimney stack and were able to show me cracks in the liner that were causing my problem. I then reached out to Dave (the owner of Archway to ask him why he had not performed this same inspection before proposing and selling me a solution that would have never solved the problem. He got defensive on the phone with me and kept talking over me. When I asked him to please stop talking and to listen to what I was saying, he hung up on me. I tried to contact him back and he would not respond. I am now going down the path of pursing financial remedies through small claims court and filing a report with the BBB.. Bottom line, Archway is unresponsive, unprofessional, and turns their back on you once they have your money. I would not recommend doing business with them.

I hired them to sweep my chimney. I didn't have a problem with the work done. What I did not like was the time spent trying to sell me more work to be done on my chimney. I can understand if there is imminent danger. But it was like one guy's job was to clean the chimney and the other guys job was to sell me more services. I just wanted my dang chimney swept!

We needed a chimney inspection which was done but they then told us a new liner was required before we could use our fireplace. The people that performed the inspection could not give a quote for a new liner so we had to get in touch with the owner who was very busy and took awhile to get back to us. When we finally made an appointment he had to reschedule then never showed up for the rescheduled date. We then had a different company come out to give us a quote. The new company said a new liner was not needed. Was all very frustrating.

The three person team showed up on time and were very professional. They were respectful of the property and cleaned up after themselves.

Archway Clean Sweep charged me $229 in addition to the $135 that was already paid to Angie's List. Only the Chimney sweep was performed. I was verbally abused when I requested a refund if the overpayment.

It went great. They were prompt and efficient. They also cleaned up everything.

Scott and his son called to let me know they were running behind schedule, which I think is professional. Once they arrived, they got straight to work and did everything the deal called for. Scott gave us suggestions and insight as to why we needed inspection and cleaning. Pros!

Very professional and well-informed technicians. Cleaned my badly neglected chimney and pointed out some safety issues that need to be addressed (cracked firebox). I was amazed at how quickly and cleanly the job was performed. I will certainly be calling Archway again.

The crew came out to sweep the fireplace and found it in disrepair. The "owner" of the company came out the next day to provide and estimate on how much it would cost to repair the chimney and he (the "owner" of the company) sexually harassed me and told me that he would do the work for time and materials if I went out on a "date" with him. I will not be doing business with this company.

Very well. My daughter now feels safe using her wood burning fireplace in her newly purchased home.

Bought a $135 chimney sweep through AL, and the company never contacted me and never returned messages. AL refunded the price.

They came exactly as scheduled, and completed the work - their safety inspection found that I needed some tuckpointing in the firebox, which they were able to complete in the same visit. Grateful that they took the time to make me aware of the consequences, and happy they were able to make my fireplace safe!

They performed the work as stated in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. The workers were efficient and friendly. I was very satisfied with the company.
