Archway Clean Sweep

There was a little miscommunication at the start regarding what time they would arrive but everything after they arrived went great! They cleaned out the chimney and provided suggestions on repairs that were needed. I would definitely recommend them!

Two man team arrived on time. They were very professional and even cleaned the area prior to beginning. They cleaned and inspected the fireplace. Multiple cracks were found (which we knew about) and they offered to fix them for an additional cost that day. I accepted the offer as it was a reasonable cost for the work. They were finished with everything in about an hour and left the area cleaner than before they arrived. I would highly recommend this company.

He was okay. He did a little bit of caulking and I think he charged too much for that, a fee extra dollars for that. I don't know what they're actually supposed to do in a tune up, so it's something that we had a fireplace but as far as going up and cleaning everything up and down the whole chimney, I don't know if they're supposed to do that but he did not do that. He was friendly enough and everything but I just thought he was a little high. They advertised that it's being worth over $200 and I don't have anything to compare it with what other chimney people charge, but $260 is extravagant and I thought $90 something was reasonable but I still thought he should have performed some more. Maybe there's nothing wrong with it but he should have done some work cleaning I think. With prices, I guess for anything additional, I think they're high. I think I could probably get other chimney sweeps that would probably give me that price to begin with. Not the $60, I mean he could have done it for half that amount. He set up a time and he called and said he is on his way and he was on time. He was punctual. I would say he is good on that. I guess he was all right. I had to ask him his name. I will have to compare. I might, I'm not sure, I would consider it but if I got somebody that did just as good and for a better price I would use them.

The inspection was lacking, in my opinion. The only flu inspection was accomplished from the fireplace, using a flashlight to look up. No inspection was done from the exterior either. The price of the additional work they did to make my fireplace "safe" was quite inflated, considering it was only caulking and shifting some plates.

First Joe and Mike called to let us know they were on their way a half hour before arriving. (We really liked that) Upon arrival they introduced themselves to us and were very friendly and professional gentlemen. (That was also much appreciated) They proceeded to explain what they were going to do...and we let them know that we had not used our fireplace in well over a year because we just hadn't had time to get it cleaned. Well I have to say the next event I was so embarrassed, when they opened our fireplace doors two dead birds were discovered. (Joe and Mike were so great about it...made myself and my husband a little more relaxed about it) We had previously had the top of our fireplace wired off because we had a bird get in the house that way, and we were told they couldn't get in any longer....apparently that was wrong. Well Joe and Mike were great about it, they even removed the remains. They did a great job cleaning out the fireplace and even vacuumed up around it after. Once it was cleaned, Joe did point out some cracks that he found in the bottom. They were able to take care of that on the spot for us (for an additional minimal fee-which we did not mind), we understood that it is not safe to use a fireplace with any suck cracks in it. Joe also was able to explain what needs to happen to prevent any further bird issues and gave us an estimate. This will have to be done on a day when there is no snow or frost on the roof. We will be making an appointment with them to come out and fix that for us as well. We were very impressed with this company and the knowledge of the gentlemen that came out to the house. It went fine. They were here right on time and they did a good job. They left a little bit of a mess behind, the soot from the chimney. They have got to clean up a little bit after themselves.

Was completed quickly and with nice cleanup, no mess left behind for a very messy job and chimney that wasn't well maintained by previous home owners. Very pleased. Also completed flashing nail down and sealing, as well as crown sealing. Provided those services same day when I asked them if they could. Courteous and fairly priced!

. Responded promptly when deal was bought. Apparently very busy, had to wait over a month. 15 minutes late (not a big deal). Went right to work. Found that fireplace base was badly cracked. Suggested that replacement of base and back panel was needed. Price quoted on written reciept . No pressure to have this done immediately. I always get more that 1 estimate, so I may or may not use this company for this. Advised us not to use fireplace until this is done, because it may cause a house fire.

I was unable to be home when Archway Clean Sweep performed their service. My cousin, Phyllis Jeter, was here and reported that they were punctual and professional. The service man did call me at work before he left the house and explained to me what he did and what additional work he recommended. I was impressed he took the time to make that call.

The deal was for a chimney sweep, safety inspection and dryer vent safety inspection. The communication before the service was good. When the gentlemen arrived at my home I was surprised they did not wear covers on their shoes when they came in, especially with the damp weather. They seemed to do a thorough job cleaning and inspecting the fireplace and chimney from inside, including letting me know there was damage to the fireplace facade that could be a safety hazard if not repaired. I thought they would go up on the roof to inspect as well but they did not. They did clean up after the chimney sweep and repair was complete so I appreciated that but later found that they had dumped loose ashes in my trash can outside. I would have appreciated it if they had simply asked me for a trash bag as we try to keep our trash can clean. My dryer vent is somewhere under my deck. I told the gentleman I was pretty sure that's where it was but wasn't sure exactly where. He went out to look but said he couldn't see it so he would mark it as not visible on the service sheet. My husband says he must not have looked very hard because it's under there. Over all they were polite and I was mostly satisfied except for the ash disposal and the dryer vent inspection. In hind sight I think if they cannot perform part of the service a credit could be issued, perhaps towards the repair they performed.

My appointment was set for 8am-10am. Joe called at about 7:45am and said they would be there at 8am. He and Doug showed up at 8am on the dot. Both are very courteous and informative. They inspected the chimney and began cleaning. Doug finished cleaning the chimney while Doug inspected the dryer vent which is located near the roof. He found that the dryer vent cover was and replaced at no extra charge. Both men cleaned up after themselves very well. I was very pleased with the service provided as well as Joe and Doug's performance. Will call back again next year!

Obtained service thru Angie Deal, Prompt response to schedule their service. Arrived on-time. Inspected outside and top of chimney. Clean chimney from inside with excellent clean-up of firebox and hearth. Gave helpful advice on when and how chimney should be inspected.

There employees were very prompt and courteous. They didn't try and upsell on anything we didn't need and they showed us where there were some cracks in the fire box and promptly fixed them. Cost us an extra $75, but the repairs were well worth it for price.

Did a great job. Very professional, on time and pleasant individuals. I would absolutely recommend.

We expect that it went fine - we did not go on the chimney to inspect so can only assume it was done as they said, and professionally.

Very prompt and very professional. It was a 3 man crew and they came in, worked fast and then left. I can't inspect the entire length of the chimney, but what I could see looked clean.

The workmen called before the came and arrived on time. Both men were clean, quick and professional though out the service call. We had never had any examination done to the chimney over the last 15 years but had used it very little. They cleaned it and showed me where the mortar in the fire box had disintegrated over time. They gave me an acceptable price to replace the mortar and it was done immediately. they also inspected the dryer vent and discovered it had become clogged over time. I recently had had the dryer serviced but there was no mention of the vent having any problems. They explained the steps they would take to clean it out and the additional cost. I first thought" I'll just to it myself" but I'm glad i let them do it. It would have taken a lot longer for me to do it and would have had to get additional materials to do it right. They replaced the vent to the outside of the house and re wrapped the vent pipe with high heat resistant tape. A very complete job. They even ask if I was a veteran, resulting in a 10% discount! I will definately use them again and not hesitate to recommend them to others!!!

I liked that he was so honest. He could have just poked around and I would have been none the wiser. He pointed out the dangers my present chimney presents and steered me toward proper resolution.

I received a call a few hours before my scheduled appointment asking if they could come by earlier since they were finished with their previous appointment in our area. We happened to be available and invited them to come by. The performed the services in less then a half hour!! A couple of cracks were found in the firebox, and they gave me a quote to do the work. It was minor work that we could do, and they even told us where we could buy the caulk! Both guys were friendly, polite, and very professional. We would definitely hire them again. Will be recommending them to friends!

The job they did was excellent. We originally hired for chimney cleaning and then found out they did dryer vents. Our dryer vent was improperly installed and they went the extra mile (and time on a Saturday with 4 more jobs to go!) to clean and fix this. We suspected it was a problem but were amazed at just how much cleaning was needed--undoubtedly was a fire hazard. They were professional and thorough. We would hire this company again in a heartbeat.

David and other technician were prompt and professional. They inspected my chimney as well as my dryer vent and hosing. When inspecting the chimney, he found the vent pipe was not completely connected to the top cover, a huge fire hazard. He went above and beyond to drive to a local supplier and to purchase a replacement part. Unfortunately, he could not find an exact match, so he gave me the name of another experienced chimney repair man. They also filled cracks in my firebox while here and did a clean job. Overall, the price was reasonable and service was great. Would recommend to anyone

Provider was very punctual, and careful around the house. Everything was performed in a timely manner, and very professional.

I bought a $99 special to have my chimney cleaned and inspected. That all went very well and well worth it. In the inspection they found a few cracks on the exterior of the chimney (top of chimney). Previous owners had try to seal the cracks with some sort of caulk that could just be peeled back.(they took photos and showed me) They offered to fix the cracks properly for $250 and I had them do it. I know NOTHING about this kind of work so I have no idea if this was too much to charge??? Either way, the work is done. It looks great and my chimney is ready to go. I would use them again
