He took me for a lot of money and ran. What he did do, he used inferior products for. He and I agreed he would put down new cedar boards. At first, it was supposed to be only 6, but he found more and more and more as he was progressing through the job. Eventually, I did agree that he would replace all of the boards on the main part of the deck. When he left, I found that he didn't actually replace all of the boards he said he would, and also that instead of using cedar (as promised, and was paid for), he used cheap, untreated Douglas Fir boards! The stamps are on the underside of the board themselves. That's only the start. He didn't use galvanized nails, so they're already rusting the wood. I hired him originally on April 5th, and came about a week later and started with a power wash. After that, he showed up about every two weeks, and worked for only an hour or two. The last time he came here, it was about a month and a half after the time before. We had lots of rain in May, so I tried not to bother him too much about it. He came for about 4 hours, and instead of finishing the top part of the deck, he ripped out the stairs! When he did, it became obvious that he didn't know what he was doing. We had agreed for him to do the stairs as part of the project, but it didn't make any sense at all that he would do those instead of finishing the portion he had already begun. He re-cut, re-installed, and ripped out again the stringers for the stairs, leaving dozens of nail holes in the brand-new board. He also used a single board on the step instead of a double board (as I was told by a professional, is the proper way to do it for safety), and scoffed at the apparent lunatic who used a double board (again, properly) before he got to it. He was supposed to replace three posts. At the last minute, he decided he wasn't going to do that, but instead just install new posts alongside them with a cement pier, because it was too hard. He himmed and hawed about that, also. I don't think he was ever going to do it. I found him on Thumbtack, and he had nothing but positive reviews. I wish I'd never heard of him.

Tiller & Snyder LLC is a very professional company that I will be returning to in the future. The team was friendly and down to earth. They worked efficiently, and were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions. They re-glazed our tub for a decent price and it looks wonderful. I definitely recommend them.

They were on time, they finished the job in a timely manner. Very professional and clean. They did excellent work. They are both pretty young but don't let their age fool you they do quality work. I would highly recommend them to a friend and plan on using them again for my future projects.
Description of Work: Painted my 3 bedroom house, painted the trim, sprayed floor vents, textured walls, and sprayed popcorn on my upstairs ceiling. There were a few holes in the wall which they patched as well. Caulked all the trim and cracks.
