Electric MD

John was out in less than an hour, diagnosed the problem, had the part installed, and affected electrical outlets tested in very little time. Didn't charge extra for their time driving to get a specialty part. He answered all my neurotic questions with grace and professionalism. They really came through for me- I would immediately call them again for anything electrical. -B

They did a good job with the light but the electrical box plate was held on with electrical tape. They did not clean up after they were done and I will likely not hire them again. ***Update*** I just wrote the review from 12/29/19 regarding work done on 9/14/19 on a security light installation. I must apologize because I realize I was talking about another company who had come out. I usually use Mark and won't make that mistake again. I've always gotten upfront honest estimates and good service from this company.

I was very pleased to get this project completed. The wiring was completed on 10/18/19. I needed to get two fixtures for the bedrooms; so, there was a second visit on 11/11/19. A ceiling fan was installed in one room and a ceiling light fixture in the other. I was pleased with all the electricians who did the work. They cleaned up after themselves, which is a very important part of the work. I also had to have an inspection by the County, which was done as discussed with Mark. This was the first time I had obtained an inspection for work done. I have used Electric MD in previous years for other work; so, I was very pleased to know that the service was still worthy of high marks.

Installation and service was great. This is the second time I have hired Electric MD and both times they have been on time and get the job done efficiently. Couldn’t be happier.

The owner hires young people with little experience and know how. I still have damage to my walls.

Several lights on my first floor were flickering. The technician was prompt, very courteous and clear. The wiring was loose in one breaker, so he tightened it and checked all the others. I'd definitely hire this company again.

The guys did a great job. They listened to what I wanted and made it happen. Reasonably priced.

Very professional and great guys to talk with!

2 guys came, 1 wasn't even licensed yet but charged me for both guys hours. the other guy sat around and talked to me while the licensed one went to get supplies and did most of the work. Last hour of 6 hours the second guy started helping and they charged me for both guys for 6 hours. The main guy wasn't that friendly. I was also concerned he never checked my breaker before starting to see what else was on it. My fuse has blown once since the service. I will continue to watch to make sure he doesn't have my breaker overloaded. Other than that, they weren't bad at all.

I neglected to finalize a visit appointment. I have no idea why Electric MD would say that the services were performed!

I purchased the $299 for 4 hours coupon. The technicians arrived on time and were very professional. I had spoken with the owner in advance and knew I would need to purchase some additional time to get everything done. Everything was completed in an exemplary fashion; looks and works great. The technicians cleaned everything up afterwards. Excellent experience, and I would definitely recommend them, and am planning on hiring them again next year for some additional projects. They were a fair bit cheaper than other quotes I had gotten.

Ken was amazingly efficient, polite, accommodating, and professional. he did an outstanding job as well as cleaned up everything before he left. I am delighted.

These guys were great - they promptly provided an estimate and made modifications as we changed the requirements of the job. They arrived on time and did a very quick job of installing the lights and tying them into our existing system. Other companies didn't even respond to requests for estimates. The house looks great now! Thanks guys.

Professional, timely, and quality work. Everyone who worked at my home was courteous and informed me exactly what was going on. They also found really, really, really terrible work done from a previous owner and probably saved me from a house fire.

We've used these guys twice in about a year's time. First time was to install a light fixture above a stair landing (very high, limited & awkward space). The work was performed perfectly, and with the utmost professionalism, and at a very reasonable price. Recently I had them out to troubleshoot why a light fixture -- (plus the replacement fixture I was trying to use) -- wasn't working despite my meter reading proper voltage to the area. When I explained the situation was urgent, but not critical, they came out the NEXT MORNING (I'd called late in the day) and got it fixed. And, as before, the service man was highly professional, obviously knew his stuff, and the charge was more than reasonable. ElectricMD will be the first ones I call for ANY electrical work I can't do myself.

Gary arrived during the 2 hour window that was given to me. He was friendly, efficient, did a good job, and cleaned up the mess created by the project perfectly. Everything went exactly as I had hoped and I will DEFINITELY hire Electric MD again. They have worked on various electrical issues multiple times at our home and I've never been sorry that I hired them.

Excellent experience from start to finish...Mark was incredibly responsive and set up the appointment right away. The gentleman arrived on time, was very curteous and worked quickly...he finished all our initial job requests and had time to do more than we expected. I would absolutely recommend Electric MD and I plan to use them for any future electric needs.

Simple electrical work needed that was difficult to get a response on from other providers. Spoke to Mark to work out a time, and he sent Gary by to take a look on a date that worked best for both of us. Gary took care of everything I needed in a couple hours and did an excellent job. Also recommended we not fix a breaker issue because it was not worth the money or trouble, but reassured us it was not a safety issue-- which was my main concern. Very punctual, time efficient, courteous and professional. Will be rehiring for more work in the future.

It worked out very well. The price was pretty reasonable. They did an excellent job, they did exactly what we asked them to do, they made recommendations about what we wanted to accomplish and we took their recommendations and we used them and I thought their charge was fair.

They did a fine job no complains about the work okay they did a good job, the one complain or question that I have is when you purchase this and it says two hours of electrical service and what should the procedure be when they spend more time here should they tell you before they spend another two hours here that look this is gonna go over what you paid for this is the rate it's gonna be. Well basically what happen was he worked another additional I would say hour and a half and then we were charged for an additional two hours of full rate service so by the time we were done we paid and I know we had to pay for the wiring you know the actual materials they used and that was about fifty of it but even with that it came up like another extra three hundred dollars there was no heads up or no I would just like you to be aware this is what I anticipated it's gonna be there was not even I anticipate this will go over two hours and so I didn't know how we should have handled it better that was I didn't like.

Extremely well. Mark was nice enough to make a free trip to come out and see exactly what I wanted to have done within the 2 hours of labor that I purchased. The installation of the basement outlet was pretty straight forward, but my initial desire to have a 220V installed in our garage would have been more complicated & would have well exceeded the 2 hours of labor & would have involved cutting out drywall. Therefore, I decided not to pursue that portion of the project. Mark indicated that installing the basement outlet would not consume the entire 2 hours of labor so he told me to get back in touch with him if I come up with any other projects. We schedule installation of the basement outlet for 1 week later. The following Friday the two electricians came out to perform the work & I discussed the option of also adding 2 additional outlets in my master bedroom. The electricians were able to quickly come up with a solution to successfully install the additional outlets without having to cut out excess drywall. The labor time for the entire project was right at 2 hours. Eric & Thayne were very courteous, professional and friendly. Excellent experience overall.

I found out that I had purchased the wrong pendant lights and the LED bulbs did not fit the opening in the track light fixtures. However, the technician, Aaron, replaced my doorbell. Since I did not use all the time, Aaron contacted Mark to see what could be done. I agreed to return my purchases and get the appropriate ones. Mark agreed to work with me and asked me to call when I had the new items. When I finally found the correct LED bulbs and ordered a new set of pendant lights to attach to track lighting, I contacted Mark. Once we settled on a date, Aaron returned to complete the work. He replaced all the LED bulbs in the track and attached the two pendants. We noticed that the pendants were flickering; so, it appears that I have an old dimmer wall switch, which doesn't accommodate the new LEDs very well. So, that means another trip to install a new dimmer wall switch. Also, I decided that the doorbell that Aaron installed on the original appointment was not loud enough; so, I asked to have him replace it when he returns for the wall switch. So, I will then pay for service based on the hourly rate plus the trip charge. I have learned that new technology in one area requires a change of technology in another area to achieve compatibility.

It went well. I would use them again.
