the provider cut down several dead limbs, and also used a leaf blower to remove some maple debris from my house's roof. he gave me a cost discount to make up for some previous work his company had done that was not quite to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Removed dead limbs from some trees, and "raised' a couple of branches from the ground.

Overall a very good experience. Andy, the owner, supervised 3 workers: they were punctual, professional, did what we agreed and left the area tidy. The estimate was what I paid and that seemed a fair price according to my research. I would definately use this company again.
Description of Work: Cut down and cut up tall dead Oak tree close to house. Cut into large pieces (too large for firewood though - my fault - I should have asked for smaller). Stacked brush on burn pile across yard. Removed lower branches from approx. 4 other trees.

Although there was some initial confusion in regard to the day on which the service was to be performed, the team of four men did show up early in the morning and worked hard for several hours. After they left there was no evidence that any work had even been performed. My yard was immaculate.
Description of Work: They came out to look at my large tree in the backyard on the day that I called and provided both an estimate and some suggestions for care of possible fungal disease of the tree. The work to be performed was to cut down large branches which were resting on the roof of my house.

Tree Huggers did great work for me. I had a bit of clean up to do afterwords some small branches, a small truck load. They gave me such a good deal I was ok with that. :)
Description of Work: The owner of this company is very nice. I called him and he was out the next day to remove 2 dead mimosa trees and trim a very large silver maple away from my fence. I would recommend Tree Huggers for anyone needing to have trees removed. I don't know if this company would be good for shaping trees or work like that. They are very reasonable compared to the other companies that I got quotes for on the very same trees.

Everything went well. They were well equipped for the job. They showed up on time; showed when they said they would.
Description of Work: I used Tree Huggers Tree Care to get a dead tree removed. They removed two trees and ground three stumps.

Andy is a knowledgeable and experienced tree trimmer. He climbed our large oak tree and removed several high broken limbs that were difficult to reach. He also skillfully cut off several limbs that were hanging over our roof. I watched him work and was very impressed with his ability to safely use ropes and saws so effiiciently. I highly recommend him to other home owners who need to have trees on their property professionally trimmed.
Description of Work: Andy Anderson, the owner of Tree Huggers Tree Care, did major limb removal to a large oak tree close to our house and trimmed two smaller oak trees in our back yard.

I searched Angie's list for tree trimmers in the Springfield area, (I live in St. Louis, this is my daughter's house), and picked Tree Huggers Tree Care because of all the good reviews from satisified customers. I called Andy and asked for a free estimate, which he did within one (1) day. He recommended that the tree that was split should be taken down and that he would cut down that tree and grind out the stump, trim back the other three (3) trees + remove and clean up all debris. We agreed on his recommendation and when the weather permitted he completed the job as described (in one day). I would definitely use Tree Huggers Tree Care again.
Description of Work: Four (4) large overgrown trees on property, one of the trees had a split down the middle and had grown over the incoming power line for the house. These trees posed potential damage to the house if a large wind storm occured.

Tree Huggers did take the tree down but for no additional cost in their quote they cut the large trunk and limbs into firewood length. So I have a headstart on the winter's firewood supply. Tree Huggers also included in the quote to trim up the dead limbs in the adjacent tree that had broke and fell high up in the tree from Jan 2007 ice storm. They came out and performed the job as quoted and cleanup the drive and left remaining firewood together in a tidy pile. Really pleased with professional work that was done, timeliness, and cost. I would definitely use them again and recommend them after my experience.
Description of Work: We were needing a large oak tree removed from the side of our drive and as it had died and was becoming increasing more likely larger limbs to fall from it during storms. It was very close to the retaining wall of the drive and other large trees and it's natural lean and balance would cause to want to fall toward the retaining wall. So we wanted professionals to take it down. Contacted 3 businesses but Tree Huggers gave the best price for the overall job.

We had a tree that was within a foot of our house and growing up under our patio. Additionally, that tree was causing me serious allergy problems. It was badly damage in the 2007 ice storm and basically a mess in general and a headache for us from the time we moved in to the house in 2005. Tree Huggers gave us several estimates, one that included the whole kit and caboodle (cutting it down, stump removal etc) and then a price if it was just taken down. My husband and I chose the option most affordable for us. Andy from Tree Huggers gave us the date he would be able to take it down which was a very quick turn around. I had, frankly, forgotten the date. So one day I ran home for lunch and the tree was already down, the yard was cleaned up and the parts that remained were neatly stacked ready for us to take out. It was a huge relief and the job was really professionally done. Andy contacted us later to make sure we were happy with the work. We were truly impressed and grateful. We already have Tree Huggers lined up for our next job.

The actual job took quite a bit longer than I had anticipated, however, I was not in a hurry to have the work done. Weather greatly affected the time frame, so that was taken into consideration. Andy's crew was very polite which made the whole experience that much better. I highly recommend Tree Huggers. Any other tree work I have done from now on, I know whom to call.
Description of Work: Andy quoted me a good price to clean up a very large oak tree that had storm damage and also remove three other trees. I chose to use Tree Huggers because the price I was such that I would not have done the job myself for that amount. In my estimation the job was underquoted which I am certain cost him, however I figure I can help make that up to them with my recommendation here.

He did a very good job and was very courteous and knowledgeable. He was willing to do whatever it took to make the customer happy. If I ever need anything else done like that he will be the one I'll call. I would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: I had an ailing walnut tree with several huge limbs threatening our house. They were in a difficult position to get to since they were over the house, power lines and fence. I had four or five bids, but Andy's was the least expensive and I think he did an excellent job. He new how to trim the tree without killing it. The tree is actually on the neighbors yard so I didn't want it completely taken down, just the offensive limbs taken away. Since it was too hard to get any equipment into the yard, Andy scaled the tree with his climbing equipment and did all the work aerially.
