We had the contractor come to the house in the fall of 2011 to give a bid for washing our windows. It was decided that the job would not be done prior to April 2012. Contractor called to schedule a date for cleaning in middle of April, but because of my work we were unable to schedule a date that week. We finally were able to get them to the house on the 14th of June. On the 14th of June, the contractor worked less than 1/2 day, called me and said that they had finished the outside and would return the next day to clean the inside of the windows. I really couldn't understand how they could have possibly completed the outside so quickly, since there was a lot of ladder work involved. When I inspected the windows on the morning of the 15th, prior to the contractor coming to work, it was very obvious that we had received a very poor cleaning job. Many areas around the edge of the large plate windows and skylites had not been washed at all. Other areas where an attempt to wash them was made, were streaked and had water drip lines on them. There were windows, where spiders had built cob webs in the window, that were somehow cleaned without disturbing the cob web after they were "washed". Additionally, during my inspection, I noticed that a large skylite had been cracked on the outside, where someone had leaned on it to reach the middle. When the contractor appeared on the 15th, I asked him to accompany me into the house so that I could show him some of the things that concerned me. He immediately became real defensive and claimed that he had nothing to do with the cracked skylite. We had not had anyone on the roof since the previous year, so there was no one else that could have been responsible. Our house is on a lot with a lot of oak trees so, as a result, we have a lot of spiders that like to build webs. We clean the webs from the inside of the house, around the skylites and windows, at least weekly. Any damage to the skylites would have been noted immediately. When I told him that the skylites were poorly cleaned, having streaks and areas untouched around the edges, he said it was just a problem with the skylite material being plexiglass. When I asked him come with me so I could point out the poor quality work on the rest of the plate glass windows, he turned and walked away, saying that "you know what, you just got an outside window washing for free", and accused me of setting him up so that I wouldn't have to pay him. If that was my intent, I would have waited until he washed inside the house before complaining to him. He stormed out the door, slamming it on the way out. Outside, he started throwing buckets around, cussing, and kicking ladders. This was all a little scary to my granddaughter, who was in the room with me. After the contractor left the property, he found it necessary to send me a text to my cell phone saying "Im positive the crack was there you probably couldnt see it cause of how dirty your windows were. anyways thanks for being so shady. I hope the next window cleaners fall through your skylight and sue u for everything you got." I will let you decide whether you want these people in your house or on your property.
Description of Work: Was to perform window cleaning, inside and outside, on residence of 6200 sq ft, including skylites. Job was bid for $1,139. Most windows are larger plate glass windows, with some Pella windows.

I purchased a Groupon for them to clean 25 windows. Our FIRST appointment was April 23rd, a Monday at 9 am, my husband took off work to be here. At 7:30 a girl called and left a message that said they had an emergency and would need to reschedule either for that Wednesday or Sunday. I immediately called back, got their voice mail, and said that Sunday would work because we couldn't take off work again to be here. I asked them to call us back to confirm a time for Sunday. We never received a call back. We continued to call them and left a message every day for the next three days. Finally they called back on that Thursday and said Sunday wouldn't work and their next available was May 12th. I wasn't happy about this and the girl became very rude and said she had a crew quit because she was working them too hard. I agreed to have them come on May 12th because we had already paid for the Groupon. They were supposed to be here at 10:00 am on May 12th. We had to be out of town for a baseball tournament so we had to have my mother-in-law be at our house to meet them. At 9:30 the girl called and cancelled AGAIN! When my husband questioned her about it she hung up on him. HORRIBLE customer service!!!! I am going to try and get our money back from Groupon, but not sure if I will be able to. I would never recommend them!!!
Description of Work: They were supposed to clean 25 windows per a Groupon I purchased.

The windows that got cleaned were cleaned well. They were friendly and nice at the time of service. However after they left I noticed 2 windows which did not get cleaned on the outside. Called the company and was blown off and they did not return to finish what was paid for. Some dirt was tracked in the house because they did not remove shoes or use covers for their shoes.
Description of Work: Hired to clean windows inside and out.
