The technician appeared to be friendly and informative. Upon description of our observed pests, the technician indicated he would follow the above cited course before administering any chemicals to our property. We offered to accompany him along the interior and exterior, however, he began by himself. Within minutes of his beginning to tour the outside, I watched him administer treatment of chemicals to the exterior of our property without permission! We immediately approached him outside to stop and continue the originally discussed surveillance before returning indoors to help us make a recommended action plan. Upon returning inside, he gave us both a pathetic apology for neglecting to follow his company and our agreed upon plan. We repeated that he had agreed to first give us his impression after touring, then present us with a contract detailing our commitment and the total cost, during which, he interrupted and talked over us as though he was too full of himself to hear our understandable disenchantment with his behavior. We told him we would let Orkin know if we ever intend to use their services in the future. Upon leaving, he placed a few glue boxes in our garage for us to place strategically to collect pests for examination. How thoughtful. The national customer service center called me several times that afternoon to ask about the appointment's failure and explained that they had not directed the field technician to act in such a way. They profusely apologized and tried to win my business back.
Description of Work: I requested a pest control technician visit our home to survey for pests such as spiders, silverfish, wasps and other creatures. The technician was to meet with us, listen to our description of pests witnessed on our property and roam the home (interior & exterior) and property, provide us with a recommendation of course of action and if approved, administer agreed upon action.
