They were professional, reasonably competitive in price, but most importantly they were willing to take on this very complicated and messy job. Previous heating and air conditioning companies ripped me off and bungled the work,( most notablly and quot;Air Services - All Serviceand quot; who installed a very expensive zoning system so badly that in was virtually inoperable and was a drain on my heating air - ulitmately blowing out my air conditioning unit). The workers were very skilled and the owners/managers (two brothers) were courteus and professional. I felt totally safe with these men going in and out of my house for a week. This is a localy owned business with a good reputation and has been in business for many years. The best part is that now, with this terrible unprecedented heat wave, my air conditioning and zoning system works perfectly and economically. If you live in the Springfield area, I suggest and quot;John's Heating and Air Conditioningand quot; above any other company. I have interviewed practically all of them, and and quot;John's . . .and quot; were the only ones who were able and willing to solve my problems in a reasonably price, professional and competent way. and quot;Go John's!and quot;
Description of Work: My air conditioning unit went out which was only one event in a long line of problems I have had with my heating and air conditiong in my house. My house was built in 1945 and originally had no central heat/air. Several companies have installed, replaced, fixed, updated and mended my system with disastrous results. "John's Heating and Air Conditioning" was the only company among MANYwho had the solution and was willing to repair and replace it correctly and reasonably. It was a very complicated situation in which the duct work was originally done wrong and the replacement furnace I was "talked in to buying' from "One Hour Service" was the wrong furnace and none of the equipment was compatible and it was all cramed in a attic which was so tiny that some companies were unwilling to even enter it. I even had one company actually laugh when they saw my system and others who said, "I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole" (interesting comment seeing as how they probably couldn't have even got a ten foot pole up in that attic) Long story short, "John's" replaced my furnace and air conditioner and took the furnace out of the attic and into a closet (which was how it should have been done to begin with) and redid the ductwork and the zoning. Now, I I am cool and compfortable for the first time in many years and I can set my temperature in my upstairs attic bedroom and/or my downstairs living area to whatever temperature I want even when outside it is triple digit heat (which is how it has been now for weeks in Missouri this summer of 2012).

+ -1 moreHe is always on top of everything, and he does whatever he can to save me money. He is just top of the list, he tells me if a part will last a couple of years more, or if it needs to be replaced. He doesn't just replace parts and charge me.

+ -1 moreI've dealt with them quite a bit and I have been really happy with them. I would recommend them. I use them 2 or 3 times a year. They do a really fine job. Their prices are very competitive. They respond very promptly when I need service. I would rate the quality of their work as excellent. On those occasions when I have compared prices, they have been very competitive. I will continue to use them.
