Southwest Missouri had some powerful winds that hit MANY homes. I was told all of their roofers were working with over 60 calls each that needed a response. A couple days past and I had not heard back from anyone. I was concerned because rain was in the forecast. I called the office, and that afternoon, we had the repair done. Even though they were extremely busy, they made the extra effort to stop by to give us an estimate. Fortunately, it was not a major repair. It's just nice to know there are still companies out there that really care about their customers. I would highly recommend Cox Roofing in Springfield, MO. I'm also glad I found Angie's List!

The owner himself came to pitch an estimate and explain what we would get. I got 7 bids and his was one of the higher estimates. But he seemed he truly was interested in our work. Not only did he show us examples, he gave us recommendations,one moving the vents to ridge vents for better venting. He was my last estimate and I told him so. He asked if he was close to the other bids. He thought about it for a second and said he would match the lowest bid. I, needless to say was elated. I'm very happy with their work as well as their attitude towards me and my home. Highly recommend!

They were very professional and finished on time. Right away they noticed and fixed improper flashing from the previous roofer's job. It had caused leaks. They were neat and cleaned up litter from the job. Used a magnet to get any loose nails from the ground. It looks very nice.

Many houses in my neighborhood received damage so the time between an estimate and the actual work was lengthy - plus Cox Roofing had to negotiate with my insurance company which also added to the delay. Ernest Freeman was a pleasure to work with and I felt he truly had the customers best interest in mind.

We contacted the roofer and he came out to take a look at our situation. We had had two other general contractors look at the room and attic space, and both said we should put in more insulation or better insulation, and both quoted us thousands of dollars for the job. Because the room has an efficient air conditioner, it just wasn't cost effective to spend that much money to save a hundred dollars or so on electricity over the course of a summer. Cox Roofing took a look and said the better option would be to create a way for the heat to escape and suggested ridge vents along the length of the roof. They sent a contract within the week and work started less than a week later. The roofers came while we were at work and finished in a day. They did just a great job cleaning up after themselves that we didn't even realize they'd been at the house until a few days later! We have not had rain or snow since the job was completed, but it looks good and we assume it is weather proof. We are VERY happy with the results.

The replacement was delayed for weeks by unseasonable rain, perhaps causing the roofers to try to make up for lost time. Toward the end of the project, on a day that possible showers were in the forecast, a portion of my roof was exposed during a heavy downpour. Water ran into my living room and master bedroom. It soaked bedroom furniture and left stains on two ceilings. Although they apologized and sent painters to cover up the stains, it was still several more days of having to be home while workmen were in the house. They were also supposed to replace the attic insulation which was rained upon. A half-hearted attempt of 10 minutes duration and a half bag of insulation material was all that was done.The extended weather forecast for the 10 days following the day it rained into my home was for no chance of rain. It seems that this whole fiasco could and should have been avoided.

We had a rainy spell for a few weeks. Cox replace shingles between rain storms. They made sure there were no exposed wood at night, in case of rain by use of tarps. They stared on Wednesday morning and finished on midday Friday and it rained 5 minutes after they left. ha.. Great professional Job. Roof looks great, no leaks, and they cleaned up very well when they were finished. The price was most reasonable. They were great to work with. Their workers were very polite. The bill was exactly what they quoted me. I would reccommend them to all who would ask. They have there own crews. Cox's employees are insured if they get hurt. NO Subcontractors who hire illegals for cash and are not covered by Workers Compensation if they get hurt. If this happens, the worker can sue the HOMEOWNER for his injuries!! ALWAYS ask for a copy of the current workers compensation declaration before letting a sub contractor of a so called roofing company work on your home.

I scheduled an appointment 5 or 6 days prior ( I have two days off a week sunday and tuesday) I explained that I live over an hour away. They said no problem. So an appointment was scheduled for the following tuesday at 9:00am. So I rearrange my schedule to do my erronds later. At 8:47 on tuesday I receive a call saying that he has to remain in town and can't make the appointment. Thank you for showing that your time is more important than mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first called cox roofing on 6/17/13 for leaks in my roof. I had used this company previously and believed they would do a good job. Ron cox came out to the house on 6/21 and told me that I could either have some repairs done or, what I really needed, which was a new roof. I was surprised by this because my house is only ten years old but he said he would speak with my insurance company to try to get them to pay for it. He said he would get some overhead pictures and call me the next week. To date I have not heard back from him or the company even though I called the office on both 7/8/13 and 7/11/13.

Went fine, they worked around our schedule. Did everything they said they would do. Good to work with.

Prompt, courteous or an estimate for a new roof. Ultimately decided to go with another company for the work .

Cox Roofing came in 2 days repair the roof and I am waiting for a heavy rain, to see if it stopped leaking. If it doesn't leak, I will give an (A) rating in all categories. Thank You

Cox Roofing Co. were very fast and very efficient. They did everything they said they were going to do.

Chris Cox gave me an estimate. The roof was completed with no surprises. I felt like I was treated fairly and the final bill was exactly as estimated.

Chris Cox came out and said "I wouldn't replace it (the roof) if it were mine. Nothing wrong with the shingles or decking". This was one of 4 Angie's A-Listed companies I had contacted. Obviously very honest and I would recommend them to anyone.

We felt like we had some roof damage from a recent storm, plus we knew our roof was old and worn out. We called Cox and they immediately came out to inspect our roof and gave us an instant price. They even recommended the best color and design for matching our siding. We were given a list of other houses they had put roofs on so we could see their work and decide which shingle style and color we liked the best. We made our choice and they sent a crew out within a two week time period to put on the new roof. It looks beautiful and we would highly recommend this company.

I was very pleased with the estimate with Chris and later dealing with Ken. Chris knew I was anxious about the leaks in my roof and was able to push up the installation date. Their price was fair and in line with the other estimates I received. They left the job site clean and Ken and Chris went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the final results.

We came home during a storm to water pouring in through our bathroom ceiling. After reading reviews on and off of Angie's list, we found three roofers to call and Cox was the first able to come give us an estimate. He also let us know that because it was a quick job, he could fit it in quickly. His price was fair, he was knowledgable and he did not try to upsell us even though it is obvious our roof needs more work done in the near future. The work was done within a couple days, for a fair price and it was done well. Ironically, the absence of a sales pitch will put Cox at the top of my list when we are able to replace the roof.

Extremely professional, excellent workmanship under extreme heat conditions, final price slightly less than estimate. Highly recommended. Professionalism reconsideration: Several months later, after a heavy rain we experienced roof leaks. The person responding to the issue investigated the problem, and told us (my wife and myself) that the issue was not their initial work, but a different issue associated with the roof system. While that was true and repairs were made at an additional cost, we inquired if he was aware of the issue at the time when we contracted with Cox to replace the roof. The sales person said that yes he did. When I asked why he did not tell us at the time, he responded that he would be accused adding extra costs to the job. He did not have an adequate answer to the question that shouldn?t that be our decision if we wanted to include extra work. We do not believe we were given all the information necessary to make an informed decision.

The crew was on time and worked hard even in the triple digit heat. They were professional and cleaned up daily.
