Called to request installation of a new Garbage disposal The lady who answered the call, was very nice and told me that there will be a service charge of 60$ and once they get there theywill give me a coast estimate on the job which then would include the service charge. It all sounded routin plumbers business as usual type of deal, it may take them an Hour or so affordable, or so I thought. 2 men arrived on the job , there were very professional and clean cut. I explained that I needed to install a new garbage disposal and pointed out the new disposal that I have purshased already. All i needed was someone to install it. They quickly referred to a service coast schedule and pointed out that because of a crack in PVC pipe (barely visible ) that they will need to replace the (PVC ) pipes ( coast less than 5$ brand new ) that coast of labor would run 299$ plus material 35$ plus the service call 60$, and bare in mind I have paid 75$ already for the Garbage disposal. I appologize if my numbers might be slightly in accurate, onething i was sure of, is that the coast was going to exceed 500$. however they gave an option to provide there own Garbage disposal and install for 299$ plus service call. At that point I said thank you, but snce you are here and i paid service charge. could please hook the fridge water tube for me. I have hooked it up my self, but I felt a professional hand would help insure, that it was done correctly. There were again very pleasant and pointed out that they are happy to do it for the mere price of 125$ plus service call, but since i was pleasant guy that they could give a discount and wave the service call. After I waited all afternoon that day waiting fo the plumber, having to write a check for 60$... unbelievable. The following day I called a guy he said 150$ total I did not hesitate,even though i really think its not worth that much, but i needed to have that done and taken of my to do list befoe i go on vacasion I will never hier those guys ever again

We had just moved into our house and the water lines froze and broke. We called BF and they came out nearly immediately. I found them to be very pleasant, professional.They wore covers over their shoes when they came into the house and cleaned up after themselves before leaving. They told us how to avoid the freezing problem. We will probably use them for our plumbing needs. Also, they are associated with One Hour Heating and Cooling. We have used One Hour for new Heating/Cooling unit and we are quite pleased with them also.

The work was quality but the water heater is a terrible brand. If I would have known they were going to be installing a product like this, I would have not gone with them. I was really disappointed in the quality of the actual water heater.

We had real bad results with them. The gentleman who came in was going to do some work on my house and he tried to sell me a water softener and he was going to charge me $2700 for it. He told me that my pipes were all full of corrosion and told that if I didn't get it soon, my water heater might blow up and stuff like that. We went and got a second opinion from another company and the gentleman came out and they offered us a new water softener for I think $1300 and we had it put in. We had some other work on the house where he had to cut a water pipe and put in another fitting and he showed us the water pipes and the water pipes were absolutely pristine. They were clean as could be, so the guy at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing had been lying to me and showed me a picture on his cell phone of pipes that were corroded. I don't think that they were my pipes. I think they were somebody's pipes. According to the other gentleman, there was no way the water heater would explode. We wanted originally to have a toilet fixed and he fixed it but he said we need this and we need that and kept escalating and escalating and he offered me a whole package like for $2700. They are terrible. They use high pressure tactics. I would tell others to be very careful and to give a second opinion before they use them if they are to do any work for them. They are the worst. We don't know if the company is that way but the gentleman who came out and did that was very very bad. He was punctual and he showed up on time. We would not use them again.
