We have been customers of American Detection since 2008. When we bought our house, it had an existing hardwired system, and they worked with us to make sure it still operated correctly and that it fit our needs. A few years later they worked with us again to upgrade us to a wireless system so that we could drop our landline. Saved us money, plus we can access the wireless system from a computer or smartphone, which is great! They are always willing to answer questions about how our equipment is programmed, and help us make changes to accommodate things like adding a detached workshop. We pay annually instead of monthly, which saves us money, too. They are quick to respond to alarms. This is a locally owned, second-generation family-owned company.

Anytime I have a problem the service tech named Scott comes to my house. He responds quickly. He gave me his cell phone so that I can call him directly and won't have to go through dispatch. I wouldn't trade my service tech for anything. When I set the alarm, it monitors for fire and break-ins. I can get medical help my pressing a couple of buttons. I live way out of town, and my nearest neighbor is three quarters of a mile away. My husband was sanding in the basement and it triggered the fire alarm. They called us before dispatching the fire trucks. We call and let them know when we are doing work and they will shut the alarm off for a few hours and it will automatically come back on. I am getting ready to renew my service.
