All About Trees

After being referred by Angies List, I checked All About Trees web site. Their website clearly states they service a 20 mile radius around Springfield. Google puts me at 18 miles from their door. I received a return call within an hour and was told they do not service my town. I told the gal that their web site said 20 mile radius. Again she told me they don't service my town. Not a good experience for me!!!

They fit us in quickly for the dead tree then called back later to schedule the trimming. We were pleased with the work. I did have to leave a voicemail and get a return call each time I contacted them, but they did return the calls pretty quickly.

Courteous, thorough and prompt service. Would definitely recommend.

They were great to work with. Very professional and did the work with virtually no effort on our part. The cleanup was great! The ONLY minor issue was that they were scheduling several weeks out. However, they worked us in since it was a small job, and got it done much faster than I originally anticipated. It seemed like a great value for the excellent service and professionalism. I would highly recommend this company.

They did a fine job. It was about 4 or 5 months ago, I don’t remember the exact date, I’m sorry! Probably closer to October. It was over $100, it was minimal for their expertise and their guidance. There was one person. It took less than an hour. They were overall responsive and knowledgeable and forthright. They didn’t dirty up a thing. Their response time is unbelievable. I don’t lie!

They were very professional in fact I did talk to that guy and I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He knew what he was talking about he was able to answer all of my questions and after I talked to with him we then went with to a landscaping company for the tree replacement and also to do some other landscaping work and it turned out that the landscape architect we're dealing with knows this guy and was very complimentary about his work and so we felt we made the right decision and I think my own experience with the guy back that up. I think their estimate was good they gave us a cost that's less than two other companies that we've talked to maybe it was three for that matter it was only more than one company that was very very low to the point that I was just a little worried because I was wondering why they were so low and I think it was because they were a brand new company and I was tempting to go with that company because of how low they were but at the same time I was a little nervous because they wouldn't have had the experience than this other company but compare to the establish companies this company gave us a very good price.

I can truly recommend this company. I got great customer service and extremely great education regarding our project. We had bought a house where there was no maintenance on any of the landscape, including trees. It looked abandoned actually. But when the people came out to see the project they were so willing to educate us on what should be done and what should not be done. I was truly surprised at the amount of help they gave us. Our daughter had to have emergency surgery and we had to be gone when they came as scheduled to do the work. They gave us a call and let us know they were coming and I told them we could not be there. I was not worried about them knowing what to do because they had mapped out and detailed everything so well we knew what to expect. We came home to exactly what we thought we would see and was pleasantly surprised. We did have an issue with two things and asked them to come back out since we weren't here while they did the work. They came out that very week and explained why they made their decision and we were extremely satisfied. I would recommend them highly. I have used arborist in the past and have paid alot of money for the work. I was so pleased with the bid and could not have asked for more professional service, both on the phone and with the people who worked our project. It looks great!

Arrived on time. Entire crew was very professional and considerate of both my property and the neighbors. Did an excellent job and left the place cleaner than they found it. Great company!!

I called about a problem with a dogwood tree. Spoke to Terrie. She was very nice and very helpful -gave me much information right over the phone. If I ever need their service, I will for sure call them.

Arrived promptly at 8"30am as promised. Two very skilled workers moved lawn furniture and got to work. It was a pleasure to watch Matt and partner work. I recommend All About Trees for any tree service. They cleaned up and put furniture back in place. Thanks Angies list for the good tip.

Will and his crew came out yesterday and worked on 10 trees in our yard,. When Will came to give me a free estimate he explained what the trees needed and why. I knew what I wanted done and they did that and more. They were on time, quick, efficient, and cleaned up so well I couldn't even see (from anything on the ground) that anything was done. The trees look beautiful and I feel that they are safer and healthier now that they got such professional care. The whole crew is hard working and I felt I got more than my money's worth for all that they did. They all were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. They did not rush the job and answered all my questions. I will not hesitate to call them to come back to do other work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who cares about their trees, their house and landscape, and the esthetics of their property.

Nowel is very very nice and seems over worked. Sometimes it take a month to get a call back - when I have let them know it is not urgent. The crew is fabulous. They know what they are doing and always leave the yard and trees better than they were before they came...We had them trim our trees - thin out branches, clear danger branches, shape the trees and in general help keep our trees healthy and looking great. They do an exceptional job. They are not the most inexpensive service around but you get above and beyond service - it is well worth the extra cost. We love trees and we appreciate the care and handling that All About Trees gives them.

It went very well. All were very professional, polite and knowledgeable, from person on phone to owner to tree trimmers. They really seem to care about the quality of their work. Price was reasonable and I would most definitely use them again.

The folks at All About Trees are great. I have had them do tree work at my house and other family homes for years. I normally have at least two bids for tree work and these guys come in the lowest every time. They are professionals and really know how to take care of trees. Be sure to give these guys a call!

Excellent, no problems! This was the second time I used this contractor, the first being to remove a Small Leafed Linden tree which was nothing less than a giant Japanese Beetle magnet. Since this tree was removed my neighbors two hundred feet away have noticed that the Japanese Beetle problem has all but gone away. I am amazed at how efficiently both jobs webt!

UPDATE: First, I am just now seeing the response to my initial review, so I apologize. I didn't ignore your response, I just didn't know it was here and this is the first time I am visiting Angie's List in quite awhile. I'll give you a call next week sometime. They responded very quickly and removed 7 limbs or branches, to the best I can see. I haven't caught anymore squirrels leaping onto my roof, so they did what was needed. However, in cutting off those trees, I now get to look at one mangled dead broken limb and one dead limb dangling in the middle of the tree. The limbs they cut off must have hidden that. I guess I didn't ask them specifically to remove any ugly branches, but since they are "all about the tree" and this tree is my view when sitting on the porch, I kinda wish they had either called me and said, "hey you have all kind of ugliness going on now and we can fix it for $xx. Or even better taken the Bob Farrell approach to the matter. I mean how much extra effort could it take to pull out a dead limb that doesn't appear to be attached to the tree from every view point I have from the ground. In my opinion, I got the bare minimum for the $225. Perhaps that is the cost of being "a RUSH job" because of the squirrel trying to gain access to my house via the roof.

We were given a quote. They called with a time that would be appropriate. I adjusted what I wanted done and they adjusted easily to my change in plans . They were careful and cleaned up well.

Very professional company, crew cleaned storm damage from large shade trees and shaped for the growing season. Needed one tree removed, took it out quickly and efficiently. Came back a week later and ground out the stump.

I expected work to be done in one day. Instead, first the utility lines had to be marked. Then they came and removed the tree and ground it up. A week later the stump got ground down. Then the mess was raked up and removed. I am still picking up wood chunks from the yard. Overall, it was a good job, but their punctuality is sadly lacking. Too many good reviews and reputation allows them to be lax!

I have used this company before and they work efficiently safely and with utmost courtesy. As usual, they arrived on time and skillfully completed the project.

They were prompt in returning my call and provided me with an estimate within 72 hours of my call. The person providing the estimate was extremely knowledgeable and I would have liked to have used them. Unfortunately, their estimate was 3 times higher than of the arborist I used. I would have been happy to have paid a upcharge of $50-100 for this company's perceived expertise but could not justify a $400+ difference. I would have also been interested in using the company to fertilize and care for my trees on a consistent basis (one of the reason I called them specifically) but I suspect I cannot justify that cost either. It is unfortunate, I believe they would make up in volume what is lost in lower rates if they would lower their prices by 50%.

They were prompt & thorough with the estimate, very professional and communicated very well.

I originally called to set up this job because of the power line issue, but 2 days after Brandon gave me the estimate a limb tore off one of the Walnut Trees and took down the cable/internet line. I called Terry at the office and they managed to move up our appointment and get CU out here within about a week. I am so grateful for that - I was becoming afraid to work in one of my flower beds because of a limb above it that looked damaged and might fall.Once the All About Trees crew showed up, they explained again what they were going to do and got right on the job. It is so amazing to watch these men at work. The safety precautions they take for themselves and our property are absolutely the best, They have a type of teamwork that I find so perfect, with the man up in the tree tying off the limb he is cutting to control where it will land, to the men on the ground managing the ropes to guide it. They were all over these trees, talking to each other about where the lines to our house were so nothing would be hit, and warning everyone on the ground before limbs and cuttings came down. Of course, hundreds of walnuts also fell so it got pretty funny when they hit one of the guys or bounced really close!I am so pleased with the job that was done. My trees look a little naked right now but in the spring they will be a sight to behold! I took pictures of the men in the trees, I was so fascinated at how they do that. I also took before and after pictures of the whole job and I could not be happier with all the men who did such a professional, difficult job. We really like all the people at All About Trees and would not trust any of our 7 beautiful trees to anyone else.

Our beautiful and huge dogwood tree had never been pruned or maintained when we bought our house. Brandon came out and raised the canopy so we could walk under it easier, and pruned it back from the roof, front porch and street.. He showed me how to make the cuts to keep it under control myself, and that spring it bloomed so full I could hardly believe it. I love that tree, and Brandon and Noel both told me they had probably never seen one so large and full, and that does so well in the direct sun. This is an old, wonderful tree and again they treated it like a living work of art. Very, very happy!
