A TRUSTWORTHY HOME REPAIR SVC

Did exactly what was contracted and a few helpful task's that weren't. Will hire again for crawl space work. On time, informative, honest. Springfield..65809

They started a project in early January that was supposed to take 2 weeks. They did not show up to work every day like they would have needed to get done in 2 weeks. After about 4 weeks they just stopped showing up. I texted them to find out why they weren't there. They said there was a lot of additional work that would need to be done for them to continue. I am home most everyday. There is no reason he could not have come to my door and explained the situation perinstead he just decided not to show up. Every time I try to text him I am ignored. He has sent letters saying that hes not gonna continue without more money. I have in no way told them that there would be additional money's. Had he came in and explained to me what was going on truthfully, I would have worked with him. I had another company come in and inspect the work that he had going on. Yeah they took pictures and showed me that the work is substandard. From the way he has treated us it seems that he had planned this from the start. The photos are supposed to be showing hidden damage. It is obvious there is nothing hiding any of what he is pointing out.

JR gave me an estimate of $250 to raise the floor and put something underneath that would stabilize the floor, put ISO insulation board all around the outer walls of the crawlspace and put new linoleum on the floor. I asked him to give me a written estimate and all he would do is write $250 on the back of an envelope. He told me that I needed to call Arnie's Plumbing to make sure that the leaky pipe was fixed. I had Arnie's come out and they told me that the electronic heat tape should take care of the problem. I called JR back on 2/15/2016 and left a message telling him that I need his estimate in writing and I wanted him to do the job. I left my number for him to return my call. He never called me. On 2/18/2016 I called and left the same information again. This time he called me back but told me that there is no way that he could do the job for $250. I told him that he is the one that told me what the price is.. Then finally he told me that he didn't want the job. I wasted several weeks waiting on this person. He wasn't honest at all with me. The whole reason I had him come out to my house in the first place was to give me a written estimate. I would be very careful about hiring these people. They are definitely not up front with their customers.
