 + 0 moreZach was wonderful! The worst part was he was almost too early! He did more than was originally ordered (the bathroom fixture went out at 10 pm the night before the appointment). They made the appointment days earlier than originally projected (awesome)!
Description of Work: He wired for a ceiling fan from a light switch. The light switch was previously connected to an outlet and there was not a previous ceiling light fixture. He took my outlet off the switch. That was just in the bedroom. In the bathroom he fixed wiring that had burnt out a box. He also fixed two outlets that were on switches elsewhere in the house.

 + -1 moreI had a morning appointment. Jon called at 11:15 and arrived by 11:30. He was very helpful in answering my questions and tested other lines so we could determine what outlet the contractors working on my house could use.
Description of Work: My GFI switch tripped. Jon of Mr. Electric came out an did a diagnosis and indicated that the line was only 15 AMPS. We had work being done on the house and the workmen used outside outlet for 15 AMP saw. This GFI had been blown before but we did not learn the last time what the issue was. So now we know to tell future contractors not to use that plug for any power tools.

 + -1 moreWhen doing the diagnostic on the outside outlet, realized there was already a GFI for that outlet, but in a different location. However, he still had to charge me the same as if he had installed one ($138), but I saved on not getting parts. I was a little disappointed in that since it took him less than 15 minutes and he didn't install anything, but maybe that is normal for electrical? At least I had an Angie's List coupon! Still, he was courteous and professional, and I would much prefer paying for that when someone is coming into my home. I still would hire again and apparently they have a discount program you can get to save $.
Description of Work: Came in to install a GFI on outside outlet on patio per inspection done to sell house. Ended up doing just a diagnosis of the situation.

 + 1 moreChris showed up Monday morning as scheduled, gave me an estimate which I thought was very fair and he was able to go to work immediately. The various projects took him most of the day. I appreciate that he was able to do the work the same day. He always made sure he understood just what I wanted before he started the work and explained options to me where there were options, such as with the installation of the 2nd floor receptacle. He was methodical about his work, focusing on one project, cleaning that area up before moving on to the next project, which I appreciated since the projects were located on three different floors in my house. Everything looks and works great. Chris is very polite, honest, really understands his business and a genuinely nice guy. I have used him before and will definitely use him again and will also recommend him to friends and family.
Description of Work: Chris removed three ceiling fans, replaced them with new ceiling fans with light kits and remote controls (I provided the ceiling fans and remotes). He also removed two very ugly lights and replaced them with new ones I had purchased; replaced a dimmer switch in my dining room; and the big project was to install a new 4-plex grounded receptacle for my home computer and printer. The new receptacle is on the 2nd floor of my 90+ year-old house in Brookside, so a tricky job. Chris did a great job installing everything and was very thoughtful about how to best handle the receptacle to the 2nd floor to ensure causing only minimal impact to the walls and floors.

 + 0 moreOverall I am entirely pleased with the work performed by Aaron and Zach. I was satisfied that the pricing was completely fair and the workmanship is truly excellent. I was impressed by their clean cut uniformed appearance and their friendly personalities all the while performing obviously in a competent assuring manner.
Description of Work: The technicians, Aaron and Zach, installed one chandelier, three ceiling fixtures, and replaced two wall plugs next to the kitchen sink with GFI devices. Due to the fact that they had to go to a supply outlet for some equipment to install, I asked them if they would pick up some light bulbs for my new fixture. They were happy to do it. They removed all of the packing materials and old fixtures for disposal.

 + 0 moreWork went well and took the better part of one day. Chris showed up around 10 am, and he and his crew were out the door by 5 pm. At various times there were 2 or 4 people working on the project.
Description of Work: Chris and his crew were contracted to wire my master bath remodel. The project included replacing the service box with a larger box with more circuits. From the service box 4 new lines/circuits were run to the bathroom. In the bathroom they ran wire/boxes for 2 wall sconces, and shower light and switch, an exhaust fan, and a floor warming thermostat. They also added/wired/installed 3 can lights in my Great Room.

I SHOW A "GOOD" RATING FOR PRICE BECAUSE IT WAS A GOOD, FAIR AND REASONABLE PRICE, NOT A STEAL. I FEEL YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND ELECTRICAL WORK IS NOT SOMEWHERE I THINK IT IS WORTH CUTTING CORNERS TO SAVE A FEW DOLLARS.
Description of Work: IN MY BATHROOM, TWO OLD AND VERY UGLY WALL FIXTURES WITH SWITCHES (NO WALL SWITCH) WERE REMOVED; A NEW WALL SWITCH WAS ADDED WHICH REQUIRED CUTTING INTO THE LATH AND PLASTER WALL, AND ALSO ADDED A GROUNDED WALL OUTLET, ALSO HAVING TO CUT INTO THE LATH AND PLASTER WALL AND INSTALL A NEW WALL MOUNTED FIXTURE IN A NEW LOCATION.
