Mr. Electric of Kansas City

Chris and another electrician showed up around 9:00 am and got their work area and materials set up while waiting on KCP&L to drop the service line. Once that line dropped, Chris got to work finished the job in a reasonable amount of time (3 hours). They are very professional and great people to work with.

I contacted Mr. Electric and asked for someone to come and provide an estimate (contact was based upon Angie's List recommendation). We agreed on a date. The representative explained that an electrician would come to the house within a set timeframe. That person would be able to give me an estimate, and would then, if requested, would perform the work. That is the reason for the timeframe rather than a specific time. The electrician called about 15 minutes before arrival. I explained what I wanted done, and gave him my Angie's List coupon. He provied me with an estimate and I agreed. He then completed the work, cleaning as he went along. When he encountered a problem with relocating the switch he explained why, and gave me several options to choose from. I throught the company was very professional. I did not obtain other estimates, and this is the first electrical work I have had done. Therefore I have no real foundation regarding the price. But considering the rest of my experience with Mr. Electric, I would believe the price was fair.

They were very easy to deal with and very happy. They had to coordinate between myself, the city,and themselves. It all worked out. The city wanted one more thing to be done. Mr. Electric was back within the hour and able to finish the item.

Overall the service tech, and staff was helpful.

He did a great job. He did wonderful quality of work. He was knowledgeable.

Very prompt and professional. Expained everything being done and why. Seemed a bit pricey but it's been a long time since I've had any electrical work done. Would definitely call them again.

I had the fixtures I wanted to use, but Brian recommended using an additional piece to hide the hole from the old fixture. He had one on hand so I ran to the store to get two more while he installed the first one. When some screws came up missing he was able to improvise without a noticeable difference. Great service!

It took more than one day and the projects were at different times. He was always clean, neat and easy to work with. He also kept me informed of his plan when the weather did not cooperate with our plans.

I am finishing my basement and did the electrical myself. I had a few spots were the lights were not working, where I had multiple switches for one light. I also needed an inspection of the rest of my work. Zack Redmond from Mr. Electric called me the day after I sent an email to the company about my issues to set up a day and time. The next day he came out right on time and very nice and professional. He fixed all my issues, inspected my work and helped to fix a few areas that were not up to code. The entire time I was watching so that I could learn a few things and he explained what he was doing and why. He was extremely nice the entire time and definitely knew what he was doing. I highly recommend Mr. Electric for any electrical needs. The cost was only $158 for about 2 hours worth of work. Thanks Zack, you are awesome!

I spent around $250. I was pretty impressed with them. I called the company and I had somebody out within a couple of hours to look at it. Then the guy fixed it within an hour and a half after that. He had to do quite a little bit of investigative work because there were some weird connections down there. I was amazed that they could come within a couple of hours. I would use their services in the future too.

He was practical and came in and did his job, no nonsense for a minimal cost. They were efficient and cost effective.

The service technician was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and then fixed it very quickly. He also did a good job of explaining what was the problem.

Job was completed in 1 day. Everything went smoothly with the installation of products with 1 exception, which was one of the receptacles in the kitchen did not work. Brian came out the next day and replaced it. Brian was professional and courtesy. The price for the job was expensive, but price is what was quoted after completion of Brian?s estimate of what we wanted done before the job. Would call this company again.

They showed up on time and completed the work within one hour. We had to add an outlet in the basement because the current one couldn't handle the load with all the electronics plugged into it. We also had another outlet repaired that was a fire hazard. They did a really nice job and everything works nicely.

Overall it went fine. There were some issues with scheduling service and some miscommunication on their part. I spent quite a bit of time waiting for them to arrive and they were late. The next day they were suppose to call in the a.m. to schedule the final work. I didn't hear from them until 3 p.m. Workers were pleasant and professional. They wore shoe coverings to avoid tracking in the house, which I really appreciated. Aside from price and some issues with the scheduling I was pretty happy.

I thought he was highly personable and very conscientious. He impressed me and knew what he was doing. Zach came to my home and he has been with the company for about 8 years.

The electrician was prompt, clean, professional, knowledgeable. My building is 100 years old and has had multiple tenants, so there was some detective work to do. He seemed undaunted and very experienced. I am convinced that he has superior ability.

After receiving (3) separate estimates for the work, I chose Mr. Electric for a couple of reasons. First, the price was competitive with one of the other bids. Secondly, Brian provided much more input and advice as to the options I had available on my lighting. He had more design experience and was able to talk me through those options.

Everything went well. Brian was excellent, and I was very satisfied with what he did. He installed the fan, and when he encountered what could have been a serious issue, he figured out a way to resolve it, and did not charge me extra for it. I was able to use their Angie?s List coupon, which I appreciated. I was very happy with them and would certainly use them again.

I was very impressed with Zach . He was professional on time and explained everything with price, time etc.. He also did a basic electrical check . I was concerned that I needed 3 GFI units installed. He checked the main units and told me that I didn't need anything extra installed that the units I have control the other ones. I didn't know this and that saved me unecessary expense. I had wanted an exterior outside sensor light installed. Zach explained the procedure, time frame and price. It was done on time and it works great. He also did fix my switch which was the main reason I called. I wish there were more service people like this young man. I was very impressed. and will use them again and recommend them to friends.

The hallway lights suddenly stopped working and the outlets in all 3 bathrooms went dead. Zach identified the loose connection to the outlet in the hall bathroom. Apparently this outlet had a breaker switch that was wired to the outlets of all three bathrooms. Once the connection was secured, all of the outlets were working. I was concerned that the hallway and bathroom outlet issue represented a bigger electrical problem. Zach solved the hallway light problem right away. There was a switch to the hallway just inside the doorway from the garage...my daughter had flipped the switch midway resulting in failure of the other hallway switches. Zach was great. He was friendly and polite and solved the problem within 45 minutes.

From our first phone call to completion of the work, things went great. Deborah at the office was informative, friendly, & able to schedule our service call for the next day. Zach, the electrician, was prompt, knowledgeable, friendly, and very informative. He inspired confidence. His work was done professionally, well, neatly, and efficiently.

We saw them in the Angie's List magazine. They have been very nice. We would use them again.

They did a good job. The receptionist is great. We will have them come back and replace our entire circuit breaker box. I am very happy with everything they have done. They are very prompt in service.
