Full Features Nursery Inc.

We spent a very large amount having over a dozen + trees installed, landscaping around the house and at the road entry. I will make this short - our trees had bores in the first 6 months, which everyone (including the state contacts of Missouri) stated they had to be in the trees upon delivery. They replaced one but now all but one has broken off during storms. Meaning we have had to buy 15 trees and install them ourselves. We have gotten much better trees from Kearney as replacements. A great deal of the landscaping plants have also been replaced. We found many of the plants were not even planted into the dirt and of course they died. We also had installers arguing with girlfriends by phone off and on for hours. See others comments. They did replace some plants but for the money we spent we - would and should - have gone elsewhere. We have bought plants from their store since.

Trees planted where I wanted them and have survived a few winters since they were planted so I'd say it went well. Really went the extra mile to remove a tree that I'd managed to kill so they could plant a new one in its place.

The project started out great, I explained what I ultimately wanted to do and told them how I needed to start a several year project. The designer took almost exactly what I had told him and put it into a computer generated landscape design plan. When he presented the whole plan, I explained again that I only wanted to do the 1st phase now. He reworked the price and only changed the bottom line a little. We went back and forth for a while, then I learned that he was charging for his time in the labor costs in the bid. I learned I could get the whole job for just a little more than what the first phase would cost. I had given him a $2000 non-refundable deposit so I decided to go ahead with the whole thing. Then the work began, his workers seemed to know what they were doing. I am still finding out that they really didnt and I saw that they were taking several cigarette breaks during each hour. Trees and shrubs were planted on top of sprinkler heads, which caused me to loose several plantings and have had lots of repairs done on the watering system. The biggest problem was that the design of the beds ended up putting my stucco columns under several inches of water every time it rained or we watered. I eventually spoke with the owner and he offered to fix it for an extra charge. When I told him that it was not my fault he said it was what I asked for and that I did not know anything about business because I am a woman, well I guess that says it all. We also went back and forth on how much mulch was actually delivered, I was here most of the time and saw what was brought. I then explained to him that I know quite a lot about business and that I would make sure to tell my friends and neighbors about my experience. It has been over a year and I have lost several plants and trees that were planted by Full Features. My husband and I believe in supporting small businesse, however this is not one I would ever use again or recommend.

It went fantastic. I had several estimates. Chris with Full Features really listened, because his sketches matched exactly what I was envisioning. I signed a contract, we agreed the work should what till spring. The young men who did the job were very detailed about their work. It took a day and half. looked great when finished, but I decided I wanted a cap along the top layer of stone. They scheduled to come back in 2 weeks, however they had time the next week came out and finished it off. I requested a few more stones, the young man was resistant, but complied and I love it!

I responded to an email special on pre-purchasing mulch. I bought several scoops of mulch over the phone. They requested customers call ahead before picking up mulch which I did. When I arrived they had my ticket and we picked up part of what we had bought. We will pick up the remaining scoops at a later date. This transaction went very smoothly. It's a mixed bag at Full Features. Over the years I have had outstanding service and then really unacceptable service but keep going there because they are the closest nursery to our home in Smithville.

Delays due to weather and miscommunication between owner and workers but everything was resolved to my satisfaction

We haven't really started using Full Features Nursery Inc. We have signed a contract for them and Full Features Nursery Inc is the name of the company. We like the price of Full Features Nursery Inc.. They were going to do it less than the other company. They have a backlog because of the Weather so I really can't tell how long it is going to be before they do the job. We haven't heard from them.

They have been excellent. We’ve been very happy with them. They had to order the trees for us and they showed us different kinds of trees and the things that would work well in our soil and sun exposure. We got some really nice trees from them. What I like about them is their great effort to get plants in for us because they only had 9 out of the shrubs/trees that we wanted to buy and so they put the order in on a Saturday morning and Monday afternoon, they called and said they were in which was pretty quick. They were all pretty much the same size too which was really nice. I thought they are very good. Their pricing is excellent.

Everything was fine. They have a great selection and are very helpful when I had questions.

The patio looks great and the landscaping is working out well. Two plants died and will be replaced on the next job later this month.

Full Features Nursery Inc. is two miles from my house. I'm there fairly regularly. They usually don't provide service for me.

Their prices are more than say Lowes or Wal-mart, but the quality exceeds those places and the people there are know what they are talking about and are very helpful with chosing which plants will work where. They have a great variety of plants! Love going there!

They did a really good job.

The walls look nice but one wall was installed in a way that prevents water from draining away from the foundation. Full Features attempted to correct the problem by adding more dirt and created a whole new drainage problem. The owner and the workers have never used a level or string line to this date and clearly do not understand drainage. We still have standing water. See the pictures below. The mound (berm) was never installed resulting in the Pine trees dying from to much water. See the pictures below. The sod was never removed as agreed to in the contract. See the pictures below. Over a 1/3 of the planting never rooted and died. Some were replaced by FF and some we choose to replace on our own because we had lost confidence in FFs. The planting were delivered 8 - 14 days before planting where they set in the yard with no concern for watering and then they threw them into cloded clay holes and never even watered them before leaving the job. See the pictures below. Worst of all after we complained about the poor drainage we were charged for more dirt to fix their bad design. We were fine with the old design. We have standing water to this day. After we agreed to pay for the additional dirt their book keeper made an accounting error of approx $400 which we never caught and that we were never notified of. Now after 6 months they want to collect the money before working with us because we requested that 2 dead pine trees be replaced. Yet they say they caught the error and knew they wrote it off at the time? We estimate it will cost us $2-3000 to fix their poor workmanship. They will not respond to any of our requests.

The guy who came out arrived on time and asked good questions about what I wanted done. He ocassionally knocked on the door to check if he was doing what I wanted with the trimming and to ask questions. In some places, my shrubs were so overgrown that he couldn't cut them as far back as I'd like; he was good about explaining what he was doing and why. The shrubs were really thick and at one point he had to switch from using the trimmer to using my own chainsaw. He seemed very knowledgeable about the landscaping and about the use of tools. He was extremely respectful of my property and did not come into the house unannounced ever, which I appreciated. He spread some bulk mulch around multiple trees in my yard and did a nice job of piling it up in a mound so when it naturally sinks it will still look good. He picked up all the trimmings and took them away with him. The only reason I put a B on responsiveness was that it took a few days for the owner?/scheduler to call me back to set up the work. He did work well with me on scheduling after that. The only reason I put a B on price is that landscaping seems very expensive to me in general. The hourly rate was $55. That said, I would still have them come back to do more work.

They came initially for a consultation. They were able to provide a computer image that was in color. We asked for plantings that would attract birds. We were able to change the plan as we wanted. They were on time and showed up when they said they would. They followed up very well. The work men were professional. I can’t say enough good things about them. We will have them back to additional work in another part of yard. We want to have them back to landscape our back yard. They also offer regular lawn maintenance service. We have has neighbors compliment the work and have also asked about who did the work for us.

LISTENED TO HOW I WANTED THINGS AND UNDERSTOOD ME. HE WAS VERY QUICK WITH THE JOB, BUT GOOD.
