+ -1 moreI seen where they were lapeing the felt over the lower run that they did not overlap, so i calld the owner and told him and he in turn called his workers to correct the problems. on the 3 day they could see that they did not enough shingles to complete the job, so had to make a trip to get more. They completed the job on thanksgiving day around noon, on the 4th day instead of the 2nd day as the owner had stated.
Description of Work: The job was suppose to last 2 days , this starting day was 4 days before thanksgiving day,which I had family in from out of state.. Ater they started tearing off the roof, and started putting on the felt paper, I decided to go up on the roof with coffee for the workers..

Description of Work: Ice damaged northern part of roof. Simmons was recommened by our insurance office. A rep responded the morning after our call; gave a briefing and examined the roof. The rep walked us through everything and set a date. At 8 a.m. a team arrived and set to work promptly. They matched the shingles to the others very well. The job was finished by 4 p.m. We asked for a detailed report of the damage found during the repairs and it was promised after the owner had a chance to inspect the work.

+ -1 moreI know roofing having done it myself for years, I went up on the roof while they were starting to apply the felt and found 3 spots where the decking was showing through the felt, which could cause a leak later when the shingles failed.. I called Nick and he in turn called his lead man on site, He came down and I showed him my concerns and they were corrected right then. The only other thing that I had concerns about was the gable cuts were not cut very straight, which is only cosmetic. They job took twice as long as the estimate giving, and finished up on Thangiving Day around 1:00 . We were having our family (some from out of town) over for Thanksgiving Dinner at our house. We were glad that the job was completed, but twice as glad the noise had stopped before the table was set.
Description of Work: Tear off old roof, put down new #30 felt and metal edging, cut ridge vent and apply shingles, clean up job site and haul off shingles.

+ -1 moreI am very happy with their work. He went above and beyond. He even replaced 2 deck plates for no extra charge. The guys were very professional and friendly. They cleaned up the mess real nice. I have no complaints. The price was worth the money for the outstanding work.

+ -1 moreThe guys put a third layer of shingles instead of removing what was there and replacing them. Also my roof leaks horribly now. I have one room that has to be completely torn down and rebuilt. Nick Simmons refuses to come fix my roof.

Description of Work: WE had storms in my area roof was leaking in fact my bedroom ceiling collaps had a big mess I called Simmons roofing to get an estament he comes out & checks out my damage soon as he finds out I had ins he kept saying well I have to talk to "mark" (my ins man ) to see what he wants me to ect ect all of a sudem he was working for the ins co then he says he was going to get tarp for my roof toprevent more damage & he would be back in couple hours well he never came back!! I called few times his w says she have him return the call but never did
