Description of Work: Service AC, low coolant. Had them out a couple different times once each year. The last visit allowed the tech to find the small leak. He sealed the leak and fix it then added coolant. No problems since. There was a delay of several days so I called and that seemed to jar them into action.

I came home Sunday 5/6/12 pulled up the companies website. Used the contact section, provided my name, phone and information / reason for request. I waited all week for a call. None received. I then returned back into town again the following weekend and called Sunday 5/13/2012 expecting to get answering service. A man answered the phone taking my name and number saying someone would call me Monday. I explained to him that I had been waiting on a call all week. He didnt offer any apology or comment on my original request submitted online. Monday morning I received a call from them saying that someone could be out sometime during the day and asked me if it would be ok. I said not a problem and was told that the tech would call before arrival. Monday came and went with no visit or call to say that they wont be able to make it. Tuesday morning I received a call saying that the tech would be there shortly. No comment was given on why the tech didnt arrive on Monday as advised.1. Dont use the online contact section as I dont believe there is a process in place to return calls or check on inquiries.2. If you dont hear from the company by mid afternoon on the day of the scheduled appt, call them to find out whats going on. 3. I had requested that the same tech who serviced my system last year come again and was told not a problem and that he would be out but another tech was sent instead. Compared with both visits, I didnt feel this tech was as thorough as the previous. Not opening the unit in the basement for leak testing etc. He brought the leak detector into the basement but only used it in one spot on the outside of the unit itself. Last year the tech removed a panel and checked inside the unit looking at the coils testing several areas for potential leaks. This tech was in the basement for no more than a couple minutes. I also learned this tech was leaving within the next couple weeks and moving out of the area. I dont feel as a consumer that this visit was as detailed and being the consumer I would most likely end up paying for additional man hours if something was problematic in the unit by having them return again for something they could have checked during this visit. Im hoping that the issues are resolved and the valve stem replacements do the trick. I know that if the other tech whom I requested came out, it would have been a much different experience.
Description of Work: I requested service / checkup. Tech serviced compressor on side of house. Tested capacitor & replaced. It was not bad but said that it was weak and not drawing power as designed. I didnt know how old it was so I decided to go ahead and have replaced while service was being made on the unit. Tested for leaks on unit outside. Found a valve stem needing replaced. Went ahead and replaced both. Cost $1.00 each. Capacitor was $27.00. Also based on very slow leak from valve stems the unit required 2 lbs of coolant. $40.00. The tech hosed the coils out. The tech also did go down into the basement with leak tester after I told him about the previous visit last year when the tester was going off on the copper line coming into the house. The tech did NOT open the unit in the basement nor did he test for leaks inside but said that it looked like the coil had been replaced. Im not sure how he would know that but this visit was not as thorough as the previous. Maybe the assumption was made that the slow leak was based on the valve stems outside on the compressor. Last year another tech open the unit up both outside and inside to test everything. No mention of the coils having been replaced when the tech did open the unit last year by removing a panel after cutting away tape to access and tested several areas. That tech also tested 100% of the copper line from the basement following it to the outside compressor. I spent several hours early last year putting tape on all joints and edges to increase performance and airflow. My concern and reson for the service request was that the A/C was not cooling in the house recently during a hot day. The unit was running constantly not shutting off. I wanted to make sure that all leaks or problem areas were found and corrected / repaired. I would assume that by not opening the unit in the basement that leaves more uncertainty.

Fast, quality service. Actual work came in under the estimate.
Description of Work: Our air compressor went out in the middle of the extreme heat wave on a Friday afternoon. The serviceman promptly put in the order for a new compressor. Later I received a call from ACR stating they had one about 60 miles away and did we want to drive to get it or did we want them to get it. My husband told them he wanted them to get it. They drove up at 8:30 Monday morning and the air conditioner was back in working order by 11:00. They gave us an estimate of $600 when they first came out before they agreed to driving to pick up the unit. The bill was actually $70 less then what they quoted us. While he was here he completely checked out the unit including the filter. These guys are the BEST!

Description of Work: I contacted this company at 8:30 am and received a call later that same day asking if it was ok for the technician to come by. He arrived within minutes of the call. I purchased a home recently needing the air conditioner serviced since it was cooling but not enough. The technician was professional / polite and took great ownership of my situation. He tested the system from outside all the way down into the basement checking for leaks. He opened the panel also checking the coils and blower. He determined the system was low by 1lb of coolant. No leaks were detected. Awesome job! I'm now enjoying the cool air! They were recommended by a friend who also thought they provided top notch service at his home. GREAT JOB!!!!!

It could not have went any better! ACR is the most honest and quick respoonding company I have ever dealt with.
Description of Work: Replaced the compressor in the heat pump of the foreclosure house I had just bought. Came out to get info for an estimate and called me the nest day to tell me they had determined that the compressor was still under warranty and there would be no cost for the compressor, just the freon and labor.
