Description of Work: I hired the company to perform work for me by phone. The technician arrived to perform the work while I was at work and my wife was at home. The technician did not perform the work to my specifications. The technician used deceptive language to convince my wife we needed much more work done than I had specified. It cost me at least double what it should have.

According to the phone conversations with the company, everything was going very well. However, my girlfriend did not get a good feeling about them, and I found out why when i returned home. I have tried on several occassions to get the company back out to my home, but they will not return my calls. I am still considering legal action, but my girlfriend signed off on the work, not knowing a good job from a bad one.
Description of Work: Wayne Umfleet of Cape Home Improvement gave me several estimates and assured me of great work and experience. I was in Iraq at the time and spent over $23,000.00 remodeling my home. The work requested was; Tile Work in the kitchen and bathroom; Terrible. The company did NOT use tile spacers. The tile is crooked and looks terrible. I can provide pictures if needed. In addition, the company laid tile over existing linoleum after telling me they would not. I discovered this when I had to pull up tiles and replace them, as they were buckled after 6 months. When I questioned Mr. Umfleet about this, he denied it but would not come out to my home. Water Heater Replacement; Was leaking when I returned home from Baghdad. I had to have another plumber come out to the house to fix this. Paint; I asked Cape Home Improvement to paint the entire inside of the home with primer and then white paint. They only primered the walls. No paint was applied. Screened Porch; Mr. Umfleet charged me over $700.00 to rescreen my porch. Before I arrived back home, the screen had come off of the porch. Hardwood floors; Cape Home Improvement was supposed to install floating floors, the work was adequate, but not leveled. There are ridges throughout the home. Carpet; The company installed carpet in the bedrooms, however, they did not place the proper thresholds in the doorways and the carpet has torn and come up. Terrible terrible job all the way around. Electrical; I paid over $3000.00 to this company to re-wire my home and install a new fusebox. The only thing they did was install a new light in the room behind the garage. Nothing else. The company is claiming that they did nothing wrong, however I have the pictures and receipts from other contractors to prove them wrong. Again, I ended up paying another contractor almost $4000.00 to rewire my home and install a new fusebox.
