It has been a long drawn out winter and rainy spring in the St. Louis area this year -- not easy to work in a project like this. When there appeared to be a break in the weather, the project was started (I was part of that decision). The old retaining wall was removed and the next part was to begin. Unfortunately the next round of weather arrived earlier than predicted and included heavier rain than predicted. One of our existing boxwood shrubs fell over and others were attempting to "make a run for it." Nick Tucci sent his crew over to stabilize the situation and to save the shrub that fell over. (Speaking of the crew, they were very pleasant and respectful to have around our home, even with the challenges. ) Eventually the weather cleared and all dried out, the new retaining wall and the patio were installed. The plants were all put back in place and look like they will recover fine. You cannot control the weather, but you can attempt to adjust to the surprises it can bring; and that is just what Tucci Landscaping did. As for the wall and patio -- we love them. They look great and we have already spent many nice mornings and evenings enjoying them. Many thanks to Nick Tucci, and his crew, for an awesome job on our retaining wall and patio.
