We purchased a home in Dec 2011 and hired Rich to perform an entire kitchen remodel. We purchased cabinets from Kitchen and Bath Design who did the design layout. Rich acted as general contractor responsible for kitchen tearout and installation. Rich is fantastic - he is very detail oriented and ensures everything is just right. I've been through two other complete kitchen remodels and by far I was happiest with this kitchen. He always asked how we preferred things when there was a choice/options, had creative suggestions when there were roadblocks, always seemed to go the extra mile to make things just right and his mitered corners are perfect! He predominately worked by himself, but he has someone he uses when he needs extra hands and had contacts for electrical, plumbing, and flooring (though we used our own flooring people and wish we hadn't). We were completely satisfied with all the work performed. We even hired him to come back and change a double wide opening going from our bedroom to bath (with no door) to a single opening with a glass door for privacy. You can't even tell where the old door opening existed - again his attention to detail in the taping and mudding was perfect. Of the roughly $43,000 remodel we paid approximately ~$15,000 for the general contracting. He is not the cheapest or most expensive but we felt we got GREAT quality for the price paid. He was on time and there when he said he would be, was responsive when we had questions/concerns, and always cleaned up the work area and did his best to keep the mess out of the rest of the house. He's also very timely with bids and worked well with other contrractors we had doing work in other areas in the house. We also appreciated his honesty. We asked him for a bid on fixing a patio roof with hail damage. He recommended we go straight to the manufacturer for replacement rather than tyring to fix it which is what we did. We will definitley use Rich again and recommend him to friends in need
