THE POND GUYS

They are horrible. I will never recommend them. We had to reconstruct our pond and they did it improperly and we had to have the whole thing rebuild by another company after they did it. It costs us thousands of dollars. We were unhappy with them and we will never use them.

On Tuesday afternoon (Aug 16, 2011), I called The Pond Guys to report a leak in the pond that they had installed seven years earlier. Art, from The Pond Guys, called back Wednesday morning saying that he would be out that afternoon to assess the problem. As promised, Art showed up a few hours later, found two leaks at the edge of the stream bed, and repaired them both. While on site, Art and I discussed draining a section of our lawn where water (from sprinkler system) stood most of the time. Art said the he could install an underground drain for about $10 per foot. I said, "Okay, let's do it." Friday morning (Aug 19, 2011), Art and his Pond Guys crew showed up with all the necessary material and installed the underground drain in about four hours. They also re-examined the work done on Wednesday to ensure the problem was resolved. During that time, my wife talked to Art about the rate at which algea grew in the pond. Art suggested that a clarifier/ionizer could be installed in the water pipe and that it would, effectively, eliminate the algea problem. My wife said, "Okay, let's do it." Art called back later that afternoon saying that the clarifier/ionizer was on back order and the he would pick it up and install it when it came in. On Thursday morning (Aug 25, 2011), Art showed up with the parts and installed the clarifier/ionizer in our pond. The Pond Guys have been our trusted expert for many years now. They are prompt, courteous, and diligent. Their work for us has always been professionally done at a reasonable expense. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My wife and I purchased a home last fall and along with the home came a large pond with a waterfall and 6 fish. After about a month, the pump slowed noticably and the pond became cloudier. Not knowing what to do for upkeep,we decided to wait until spring to attempt to fix the up the pond area. When March came around, we called 2 services. Both were busy and couldn't fit us in. One could make it in May. We were worried the pond algae and bacteria would get away from us. We finally came across "The Pond Guys." I called on a Monday. The person on the other end of the phone was very polite and understanding. She listened to my concerns and explained to me what she thought should be done. She looked at her schedule and said she could get someone out here Thursday early P.M. Her crew arrived Thursday at 10:30 A.M. They got right to work and had the pond drained and cleaned in four hours. They were polite and were responsive to my questions and concerns. The pond is now crystal clear and the pump is working better then ever. I will hire them again next year.
