I contacted Superior to give me an estimate on a new roof. A friend on Angies list said that the reviews were pretty good and to go ahead and hire this company. In November Superior began the work. They tore off the old roof and installed the new roof. I had no idea that roof tiles did not go on the dormers but Superior installed them there and they did not properly glue the tiles down. Several tiles are now missing and the remaining ones are flapping in the wind. I have ceiling damages on the interior of my home due to water leaking in from the roof. I have tried to contact the company - phone and e-mail -- as well as finding a former employee on linkedin professiona site --- I cannot get in touch with anyone from that company. Phone is disconnected - email comes back. The roof was supposed to last 20 years and it has failed in less than 4 years.

They did a good job. We called them back because we wanted a couple of things that they needed to take care of and they took care of them without any trouble at all. They did a good follow up.
Description of Work: I used Superior Roofing & Siding LLC to put on a whole new roof for us a year ago in April.

STAY AWAY! This company's business model is to offer free roof inspections, advise the homeowners to contact their insurance company to file a claim for hail damage (that they explain as a necessity with digital photographs from your own roof), and then meet with the insurance adjustor on-site to explore the roof together and hopefully get a job on the back of the policy. This is no ethical way to do business, for sure, especially when the company knows that most houses do not have a viable claim to the damage (like me). My experience started with a ring at the front door in the late afternoon on a weekday from one of their reps that was promising that the houses in our neighborhood had experienced hail damage and that they were, indeed, already performing work down the street for that exact thing. He asked if I would like to schedule a free roof inspection and gave me some time options - curious, I said "yes." I was visited a few days later by the roof inspector from their company who was a nice enough guy. He checked out the roof, took a lot of pictures on his digital camera, and then showed me the pictures while explaining what he told me was hail damage that my insurance company should cover. He asked me for the name of my insurance company, had the number on his list and offered to call them to file the claim right on the spot. I declined and opted to talk to my wife first, but I did take their advice seriously and I had instructions from him on what to do next - file a claim and set up a time for the adjustor to inspect the damage so that they could be there. I waited a couple days, talked it over with my wife, and decided that if they damage really did exist in the quantity that he was adamant was present, then it would be worth our deductible. After I filed the claim, and scheduled the adjustor, the company sent out a different guy to shadow the adjustor. I knew something was up when my insurance company adjustor saw the man from the company and said, "------(company rep's first name), you sure are trying to create a lot of work for me lately!" The company rep on this appointment was a large man and the insurance adjustor set up his ladder to get on the roof and warned us that we use his ladder at our own risk. I declined (since the roof isn't my favorite place to be) and the company rep followed the adjustor up the ladder. The problem was, because he was so large, he bent my gutter on the way up with the pressure from the ladder and his body weight. They walked around for a bit, the adjustor was getting ready to come back down and the company rep got down first. I watched as the company rep descended the ladder, got to the bottom, noticed that he'd bent my gutter, and then moved the ladder's position a few inches to the right before the insurance adjustor descended! (That's setting us up for the "it's not my fault" excuse.) The adjustor explained to me that none of the damage that the company had heralded as "hail damage" was present, but that there were a few things he saw that he would write up. Confused, I looked at the company rep and said, "I thought you guys said this was an amount of damage that any insurance company would cover?" To which he replied, "Well, we tried." What?! Now I've got a damaged gutter, a company that won't take responsibility, and an insurance claim that I would have NEVER filed without being led to do so. Superior is a company preying on the naiveté of homeowners with the hopes that they can get their jobs paid for by manipulating homeowners to file insurance claims. If the old adage, "How you do anything is how you do everything," is true, then Superior's workmanship must be just as bad as their selfish idea of customer service. STAY AWAY!

A young man from this company solicited me on my property two evenings ago (9/15/11) stating they were offering a complimentary assessment on my roof based on this year's storm (hail) damage that is prevalent in this region. I was obviously dubious and inquired as to the cost and was assured I have no up-front obligation and was also told they work with well-known insurance carriers, such as Allstate, State Farm, etc. The only information they needed at the time was my name and phone number in addition to my home address they were already aware of. Before the young man departed he told me to expect a confirmation call yesterday or this morning PRIOR to my 10:00AM appointment time. I received no such call. Shorty before 11:00AM I received a call from the assigned representative stating he had been "hung up on a rooftop with an adjustor" a few miles from my home. That well may have been, however, I would not dare not be home at an agreed upon time, and I am the customer. The rep was still planning on coming by at the time of his call to me but I told him I was expecting the call yesterday or this morning and he offered no apology for that. This may sound hardcore on my part but as a business, if you are going to be late, don't wait until almost an hour after the fact to take care of a prospect. I told the rep not to come after 11:00AM as it would interfere with other plans and he stated he would be in contact with their office to contact me Monday re: a future "convenient" time for an appointment.
