Martin Door

This was a positive experience from the very beginning. The lady who answered the phone was polite and knowledgeable. The salesman who came out and provided the estimate was punctual and knowledgeable. The installer was outstanding in every way. I would absolutely have this company install another garage door if needed.

Whole experience was good, except that the manager who showed us the doors in the showroom failed to write down the exact model numbers that his prices reflected, resulting in some confusion when we called back to set up the appointment to come measure and finalize the deal - the manager was a bit brusque on the phone because of the confusion. The person who came out to measure, as well as the installer, were pleasant and easy to work with. At no point did anyone try to upsell extras or pressure us in any way.

They were very easy to contact and set up an appointment. Martin Door showed up when they said they'd be there. They evaluated the work I needed done, and efficiently addressed each item. When I had an issue with the remote contol operators for the gate, they returned the next business day and took care of it. I was concerned that with older equipment and multiple manufacturers, I would not be able to get everything done with one vendor. I feel that Martin Door not only took care of the issues, but did so with concern for time and cost, and with an honest evaluation of the issues.

He was very excited about his job. He was very professional and quick. He gave us all the information about the garage doors. His price was a little high. They scheduled an appointment to come, and they were here on time. He was great in terms of service, but a little high on the price, so I might get someone else in the future.

I had a rip in my old door. When I called they sent someone out and the guy who came out said I needed a new door. Well I already knew that and that was why i called. Just the service call was $50. I really didn't need any service, I just wanted my door fixed. If I had not purchased their door I would have been out the $50. They took it off the final price. The guy that came out to look at the door in the first place was unable to give me a price and gave me a range between $1200 - $1400.

My husband called around to three different companies and the others were comparable in price to Martin Door. We chose Martin Door because they were the only company that could come the next day to fix our broken garage door. The technician arrived within the designated time period. I asked how long the repair would take and he told me about 40 minutes; he was correct! He did his work and talked to me when he was finished. The technician was prompt, friendly and very courteous.

Everything went smoothly and efficiently. The technician did a great job.

It went fine. They also gave me a fix for another problem that I was having. They also put on a brace on a bent part of the door.

Found the spring broken the day before at 4:30 pm. Called the company and was given an appointment for the next day between 8:00 and 10:00. Earl called at 8:15 this morning, said he was on his way. He started working as soon as he got here. Replaced the springs and diagnosed the reason why the last spring broke after having been replaced just 4 years prior. Installed oversize springs (after explaining fully the reasons it would be to my advantage and giving me the additional costs assoicated with that) and adjusted the door. Checked all of the door hardware and the door opener, adjusted as needed and lubricated everything. Earl fully explained what I needed to do as a homeowner in terms that I could easily understand. Good job Earl and Martin Door Company...

The company responded quickly and I had a technician within a day. He thoroughly examined the workings to make sure everything was working other than the spring. He explained the options and cost then he efficiently replaced the spring and tested it to make sure it was fine. He cleaned up after himself very well. I will definitely use this company again. Everyone I had contact with was pleasant and professional.

I had spoken to two other independent "handy men" about replacing the door after my husband (who is quity handy himself) felt that this job was going to be complicated based on the odd doorway. The two "handy men" wanted nothing to do with it for the same reasons! However, Martin Door said they felt they could come up with an acceptable solution although it could be pricey. Not only did they help us pick out an attractive yet affordable door set they explained in detail what the worst case situation might be based on the complex situation so we wouldn't be surprised later. He laid out all the costs for me in detail so I knew where all the money was going to. We didn't have the money at the time but after our tax refund we gave them a call back to place the order (approx. 4 months later). I was told the doors would take about 6 weeks to get in since it was special order. In 3.5 weeks I got a call a that the doors were in and installation was scheduled approx. a week later. Our rep showed up on the day of installation along with their installer. They tested for lead (none found), and taped off the area to prevent dust in the rest of my house. Once the rep went over the work order with me and the installer and made sure I was happy he left, but did leave his cell in case I needed him. The work was complicated and took 9 hours but it looks awesome, fits perfect and they even went as far as to match the trim work that was destroyed in the installation. The installer was pleasant and non threatening looking (as a female home alone with her young child in the house this was important). Our rep returned at the end of the day to go over the estimate vs. actual work performed and in the end we paid $1000 less than what was estimated. I thought this was incredible since he could have easily lied and tried to take us for that $1000. Very trustworthy and honest which you don't see much these days. For this alone I would consider using them again but their great work makes it a "for sure" that I will use them again. I was left with small viles of paint for my doors to clean up any future nicks and more importantly a great set of doors and a relatively dust free house! Top notch company.

Great experience. Tom the sales rep was very professional and prompt when he gave us the estimate. The installer was extremely professional and pleasant. He worked with me to find a solution to a minor cosmetic issue with the new door (due to our concrete garage floor being very out of level). New garage door looks great and they hauled our old door away. Would definitely recommend Martin Door.

This is my 4th or 5th time using Martin Door. They have installed in the past 2 man-doors, one storm door, a garden window, and my entire patio doors and window. This time I needed a new garage door. He came to the condo on one of the hottest days of the year! Got the job done and I LOVE my door. It is such a quiet door that my dogs don't even know I am home when I open and shut it! LOL Thank you, Keith, for doing such a wonderful job. And thank you, Jeff Woody, for always being available to help me choose just the right doors & windows to meet our strict condo association guidelines! I'll need you next year for all of my upstairs windows! :)

The installer arrived on time and performed the installation in a professional manner. He was very thorough in explaining how the units worked and was very helpful. This work was performed for a new construction home we purchase, so he was very patient as I was also dealing with other vendors who were on site (our first day moving in). He completed the install within a couple of hours.

They arrived right on time. Blake was very professional and courteous. He removed the old springs and installed the new ones. I will highly recomend Martin Door to anyone.

Our garage door broke during a very cold spell, and a serviceman was out the following day to fix it for us. He was able to fix the bent rails for our door, and we were able to avoid replacing anything.

After researching the various companies using Angie's List and Martin Door's web site, I visited their showroom on Bradley Manor in South County on a Monday morning. The lady there was most helpful and showed me some doors and gave me literature on their products. She scheduled a visit with the salesman at the house on Tuesday. The Sales Representative, Tom Scharfenberger, showed up on time and we went over the various possibilities. He gave me some helpful advice on selecting the proper door, and my final choice was a compromise between style and cost considerations. It took less than 4 weeks for the door to arrive and be installed. The young man who did the installation, Scott, was very knowledgeable and did a first-class job. I really like the looks of the new door, and am happy with the whole experience.

The service was performed quickly. Although the technician did extra maintenance he worked diligently. In addition there is a 90 guarantee if the work does not solve the problem which it did.

One garage door spring broke. I called and received an estimate from Brian of approximately $130 to replace both springs. One could have been replaced at a lower cost but I chose both as a preventive measure. Josh arrived within about an hour and replaced springs. He said the cables were OK. He noticed that I did not have a strut affixed to the top of my door (which should have been installed when electric opener was installed), causing it to be bowed. He recommended one to straighten, support and preserve the door, which I could see made sense so I agreed after he quoted me a price. He also adjusted one of the tracks where it was catching, lubed where needed, then tested the door several times with and without the opener. I appreciated that Josh explained what he was doing and why. He tried to keep his time in accordance with the estimate but without sacrificing the quality of the job. I did not shop other companies but the estimate, as well as the final cost, appeared to be at or below the cost of other similar jobs indicated on Angie's List. I would recommend this company.

They were very responsive, ahd many choices and were priced properly.

They were great! They were prompt. It was an emergency, since I could not open my door, and they made it to my house in a couple of hours! The charge was reasonable, even though they had to come on such short notice.

They have the BEST carpenters around! They will come to measure everything first. These guys measure and measure and measure to make sure everything is perfect. When they return, they get to work and when they are finished it is beautiful. They work very hard, get the job done, and do it right the first time. Very efficient. And no mess when they leave. I highly recommend Martin Door! My parents even used their services based on my recommendations.
