The job was well done and professional. They were very honest about why needed to be done and completed the job as expected. The only small complaint is they were overwhelmed with work following a big deal and it took longer than expected to finish the job. But the quality of the work was excellent and they worked with us to make sure everything was up to our standards. Very happy with their work and will use again.

see above. I did have a slight issue getting them to respond to my request, but I also feel that was in large part to the big deal purchase because they had so many people buy the big deal.

9/11/2013 Update - I've contacted the contractor multiple times about scheduling the remaining half day explaining that the window repair did not hold and we are now have drywall issues from water leakage. Each time he assured me that he would get back with me to reschedule. Unfortunately he never called to schedule so on 7/31/2013, I contacted him to request a refund of the remaining funds that I had paid for the additional half day. He agreed and I emailed him the information. I received confirmation from him that he received everything as well. Well now it's over a month later and I have not received a refund. I originally bought this deal on September 9, 2012. Yes, that's over a year ago and I am still struggling with this contractor. Buyer beware. original review - My initial conversation went well. The owner asked a lot of questions to get details on the specific work that I needed to have completed. He felt comfortable with the work that I was requesting and felt that what I had could be completed in a half day of work. We agreed to speak again the Monday after Thanksgiving 2012. I thought it would be easier for him to contact me since I don't know his schedule and when he would be busy on a job. He didn't call. I wasn't too concerned since he did make a point to tell me that it would be good for me to call him so I did on Friday, December 3 and Monday, December 6. Since I haven't heard back, I am concerned now.

Still in process of work. Very friendly and honest. Other workers in the Co. are very good and professional.

I called to set up the appointment and the owner told me that he was swamped and he would give me my money back. I have since called him twice and received no return phone call. So I am going to get a refund instead of having the work completed.

The bathroom looks great! The men that were sent out were excellent. The price was great as well, and everything was just overall terrific!

Great--not only does the door close but it locks. The gentlemen who did the work and his boss both told me to call them if I had any more trouble with the door. The light fixture was also done. I had contracted for 2 hours of work and it took a bit longer. Even before they started on the repairs, the owner said if I didn't use the entire 2 hours, they would come back later if I had futher repairs needed. Everyone I dealt with was polite,.helpful and completed the work efficently and cleanly.

As I write this review I hope I am including everything that Mike "Shoe" Welch and his crew did (please note that he also installs new windows; I mistakenly left that off the checklist). I had first hired him on an Angie's List special to help with rehabbing a condo that had been nearly destroyed by the former tenants. As a single mom and small business owner with a limited budget I was so discouraged, but Shoe and Tim did such amazing work in the first day and had such good suggestions for completing the job that I hired him to take care of everything else so I could finally put the condo on the rental market. He was incredibly efficient. What would have taken me months to do myself was done in days or hours. He helped with everything from major jobs (carpet installation) to minor things (replacing fluorescent lights) - all the details that were driving me crazy. He also makes GREAT referrals for supplies, carpet, installers, cleaners, etc. - he is very well-connected with folks who are as honest, hard-working, and reasonably priced as he is. I felt completely comfortable trusting Shoe and his crew with keys to the condo. Today was the first test of all Shoe's work: I had a prospective tenant come look at the condo. Within 15 minutes she said it was "perfect" for her. If you had seen the place before Shoe got started on it you would understand how much that word means. And I haven't even STARTED on the renovations and repairs I need to do on my own home - well, you know I will trust them to M W Construction Services.

Received a call from handyman within an hour of ordering service on Angie's List. Discussed the job with me and said he would call the following week to set an appointment. He did call and showed up at the agreed upon date and time. Services were performed as requested in a professional and courteous manner.

MW Construction Services met me at my rental property to give a bid to take out a fiberglass tub and surround. Their estimate also including replacing the toilet and removing a vanity cabinet, etc. They did a remarkable job! Major progress was made on the very first day. Their team removed everything and disposed of it too! I didn't have to do anything at all, they were on top of it all! They reinstalled the tub; the one I chose turned out to be a little bigger but Nick was able to re-plumb it to fit!!!!!! John repaired the drywall in the bathroom and also in the living room where these decorative posts were taken out. John did a really terrific job!!! They installed a microwave in the kitchen. This group of guys is first rate!!

MW Construction is AWESOME. Finally found someone who actually communicates!!! I met with Shoe to get a bid on the work and he made several suggestions we didn't even think of, that we incorporated into our plan. At first it was my plan but when all was said and done it was our plan (MW Construction is sooo knowledgeable)! They arrive when they say they will and work the whole time ... no 15 minute breaks every hour! The crew spent two days tearing out and getting rid of all our old flooring, walls, and fixtures. They spent a couple weeks remodeling our bathroom, now I want my whole house done because the bathroom looks so FABULOUS it makes the rest of the house look dull!!! Nick is the best carpenter that I've seen in a long time. He thinks ahead to make sure everything lines up perfectly! Tim is an awesome drywall guy ... the drywall came out smooth as a babies bottom!!! The rest of the crew was great and very polite too! This construction team is the best! We will definetely be hiring them again!

Mike did an excellent job adding the wall. We were concerned about matching the 100 year old molding, but it came out perfect. You can not tell the difference. The crew (Nick, Tim, & John) was very professional. We were moving into the house at the time of construction; someone would always offer to help move a piece of furniture if needed. The workmanship is awesome and very detailed. We love it......

All I can say is, thank goodness I found Mike. He and his assistant started working roughly fifteen minutes after we met and I was so impressed. Mike is as honest as the day is long. Very straightforward, no-nonsense, practical, incredibly helpful. I have a condo that I rent out and it was trashed by the former tenants. Mike told me in no uncertain terms that it was "time to stop the bleeding" and get it back on the rental market. To that end he got right to work with Tim, who spent much of the day doing an incredibly beautiful paint job on the kitchen cabinets - that room will be transformed now. Mike also was able to find someone to come out and give an estimate on carpet replacement. Every job I mentioned to Mike seemed like no problem. MW will be my go-to guys now for any home repair projects I have. When you find someone you can count on, you stick with 'em. Thanks Mike!

We had an Angie's List coupon for this company -- $149 for four hours work. I first called, waited a day, then followed up with an email listing the work we needed done. The owner responded to the email with a return phone call and we agreed on a date/time for his employee to arrive. Nick arrived early and set immediately to work. Our list was too long for the time allotted, he recognized this and asked for our priorities. He was very professional, thorough and neat. We will use this company again to complete our list of jobs.

Mike was very professional and on time! His crew repaired drywall, painted, and did several handyman jobs that I kept putting off. The repairs were done to perfection and all messes were cleaned to perfection. I only had a few things to fix right now, but from now on Mike will be the first person I go to for repairs or remodeling! He does what he says he will do!

All work was performed promptly and correctly

I was ready to do some kitchen cabinet revisions to accommodate a new refrigerator that was going to be delivered and wanted advice and someone to do the job. I didn't know how fast I could get someone. When I called Mike (Shoe) and expressed some amount of distress, he agreed to come out within a day. He measured up everything and advised me that he felt the fridge would fit and I might be doing some damage to the cabinets that weren't necessary. The fridge came today and he was right! It slid right in. He and I then proceeded to install a microwave. One of the major special bolts was stripped and I thought we had a big problem. Shoe devised a way to secure the oven to the cabinets without that bolt. On Monday, he called to inquire about whether or not the refrigerator fit. It's been a long time since I've had a contractor who was that concerned. I will be having Shoe back to do some fireplace stone work and a few other things we discussed. He and Nick (who reinstalled the cabinet crown) were very conscientious. I highly recommend his services.

Splendidly! They were prompt, professional, and personable.--a real joy to have around. They were respectful of my property and preferences, and weren't daunted by any challenges. They communicated every step of the way. I had had several other companies in to do estimates, but no one would consider laying a new floor due to the claw footed tub. Not only did they accept the challenge in good humor, they were the best bid. I have other projects pending, and they will be my first choice. .

Mike and his crew communicated well with us regarding the job and the projected completion date. We were impressed with the quality of work that MW Construction does. Mike and Nick did an awesome job on the glass/marble tile that I selected and the tile in the shower. Everything is perfect! My bathroom tile looks amazing and turned out better than I imagined! ! We love it and will be calling MW Construction the next time we need any work done!

Shoe and Nick were great! They were very professional and punctual. Communication was excellent! Shoe gave me the supply list for the project and we reviewed the order for the work to be done. All questions that came up during the work were reviewed immediately. Everything they did for me turned out great! Everything more than met my expectations and they cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend these guys and will use them again in the future!

This review is long overdue!! We had Mike and his crew do a couple jobs for us and both were done extraordinarily well!! First, we hired him to tile both of the fireplaces in our home. While that might not sound like a big job, each of the fireplaces wrapped around 3 walls, none of which were perfectly level, and we picked out challenging tile with repeating patterns that he had to deal with. I think most tile installers would have just thrown the tile up without putting any consideration into how the pattern would line up or meet in the corners, but not Mike (or ?Shoe,? or whatever you like to call him). He spent hours just considering the layout and making sure it would look perfect in the end. Before he even started with the tile, he built out the walls to make them perfectly level, and then the fun began; the tedious task of meticulously installing the tile. I cannot say enough about his attention to detail and personal investment in the project. He worked as if he was working in his own home, and the end result showed it. Both fireplaces turned out impeccable. They are a feature in our home that cannot be overlooked. Every person who enters comments on how great they look. I can?t wait to post pictures for you to see, but we still have to finish the mantel. Soon? I promise! The other job we had him do was to install vinyl flooring in our laundry room. While not nearly as exciting as the fireplaces, they still did a fantastic job. They worked fast, yet didn?t overlook any detail. They did a very professional job. Oh? and the price was right. He was very reasonable for the quality of work he puts out. I would HIGHLY recommend Mike, and would use him again at the drop of a hat ? in fact, I wouldn?t use anyone else! Give him a call? you won?t regret it!!

This was my first experience with Angie's deals. I must say that it was truly great. First, "Shoe" Mike Welch was great to work with. He was genuinely interested in making the customer happy and he succeeded. His group installed a new tile floor, replaced toilet and vanity which completely updated my small guest bathroom. It looks great. The team that worked with him were a pleasure to have. They were very diligent, very neat, and very, very caring. They arrived on time and completed the job in the agreed time. I would HIGHLY recommend M W Construction Services for any job you have. I plan to make M W Construction my choice for my next project(s).

Mike ("Shoe") is one in a million. I found him when I had Exterior Siding Solutions do some work on the house. He did a great job installing a window and door in the garage. He then tackled a significant front door problem (wouldn't open) that the original builders (Dettmer Home Builders) knew about but wouldn't fix. Despite Dettmer's shoddy job of installing the door, Mike got to the bottom of the problem and got the door into a functional state. We will definitely be getting Mike for other projects (many of which will be to correct the mistakes and poor workmanship of Dettmer).

I hired a different contractor who commited the job. When I changed tile to a less expensive tile company who he had no affliiation with and was not getting a contractors price. ( which was not passed to me) he backed out the day before the project started. I went to Angies list. I emailed 4 contractors 2 resonded quickly. MW construction came out bid the job. Mike had the vision I had so I gave him the job. WOW he did a fantastic job. I work alot and had to trust someone to be in my house with no worries and no supervision. He had nick and David working for him and they were great. It took approximately 13 days. Mike supervised and started the tile work. Nick finished and surpassed all expections. Iwill add before and after pictures because the transformation is just what I expressed and it was not easy for them. I am very detailed as you will see. The whole picture from start to finish should be in a Magazine all due to MW Construction. I must emphasize that there is alot of detail work in this project and was handled perfectly. The pictures will show the true artistic grasp of the whole team.. Mike spoke with me on a regular basis and ensured that he could see the vision I had . Towards the end when things needed to be adjusted Mike and his team got where I was going and gave the feedback I needed to ensure the end result was still on tack. Example. Dimmer switches needed to be added to add different lighting for the times of day. Not a problem. The one thing I must point out is I had a Vision of What we needed this to look like and it exceeded expections. I have an eye for detail and thay surpassed that. In ending the I cannot express enough how happy and relieved I am that I turned to Angies List and found MW Construction. By the way Mike really likes to be called (shoe). Not good at that but he does understand. Summarry the whole experience was FANTASTIC. We already have next project planned in the next month so I will update you.
