When I bought the Angie's list Big Deal, I assumed I would be dealing with a company that was above standard. I was wrong. i bought the Angie's List Big Deal on 11/14/2012 and called that day to schedule someone to come out to take a look at my house. The first guy I talked to had no idea what I was talking about... first red flag. When I finally got in touch with Jay Johnson (which I had to do myself... he did not call me), we made an appointment for him to come out that same weekend. He showed up and told me the areas that needed insulation, caulking and weather stripping, and took a look in the attic. He also told me I needed more insulation up there. However, he came with absolutely no equipment or supplies other than a temperature gauge. He said he would have to get the materials and come back later. We made an appointment for the next weekend. I did not hear from him all week, so Saturday morning, I called him to be sure we were still on. He said he "meant" to call me, but he had over-scheduled himself because of the Big Deal and needed to reschedule to the next weekend. Well, the next weekend came, and he had the flu... so a week and half later, on 12/20 or so (close to the shortest day of the year), he finally came to do the work. Well, he caulked some of my windows outside. In the dark.. and did a crappy job of it. He added weather stripping to my front and back doors. It fell off within a week. Had I known that was all my $225 was going to cover, I would never have spent the money - lesson learned. Anyway, just to see if I would get a response, I asked him if he could give me a quote on adding insulation to my attic. It's been a month. Not surprisingly, I've never heard a word. Jay Johnson was a nice enough guy, but I would not recommend this company to anyone!

This company has very poor business practices. I live in Crestwood, which by the way, has an ordinance that requires a permit for door to door sales. I suspect this company does not have one. I have been randomly disturbed by this company twice in a couple months. It is quite ridiculous and pathetic.

It took a long time to reach the company as they kept ignoring our phone calls. It took Angie's List calling them for them to call us back and they finally came out yesterday (12/27) at 11 (the appointment was set for 9am). They looked at our house and stated that they were too busy to do the work and wouldn't be able to cover the job for several more months. Instead of redeeming the Deal, we are now getting a refund and will use another company.

I have scheduled with him three times to have the work done. The first time that he cancelled, he let me know ahead of time. The second time that he cancelled, he called the morning of our appointment, so I had already taken off work. Today, the third attempt, he just didn't show up, so I texted him. He then let me know that I needed to schedule through Angie's List after purchasing the Deal through them (contradictory to our previous emails) and that he wouldn't be able to do the work today, so I am out another vacation day. I am very frustrated because the work isn't done and I'm out of two vacation days now.

I made an appointement with Jay at Integrity Home Solutions for sealing of air leaks and windows and doors inside my home. The appointment was set for 12/1/12 at 10 am. Jay called me at 8:30 am on 12/1/12 to let me know that he had much more work than anticipated for that day and would not be able to make our appointment. We re-scheduled the appointment for 9 am on 12/8/12. Jay did not show up for the appointment and I attempted to reach him several times that day. He did not return my phone calls. I attempted to reach him several more times during the week and he never returned my phone calls. I called the company on 12/14/12 to complain and they said they would have Jay call me, but he never did. I called the company again on 12/17/12 and I was told that the owner of the company would call me back, but he never did. I called the company again on 12/18/12 for my refund and was told to contact Angie's List for my refund. I'm very disappointed that this company failed to return my calls and failed in trying to rectify the poor customer service.

There was a message on my voice mail that he replaced fencing and a fence pipe. ( My Angie’s Coupon was for $ 49 Roof tune up). I am 70 years old and can not climb up on my roof to see if any work was done to replace hail damage from last spring. I called again on 11-02-12. The girl told me she would contact Jay Johnson on his cell phone and give him the message. To date I still have not heard from them. Never saw them anywhere on my property. Do not know if they ever came out. They have never sent me any kind of receipt or written work orders. I have been unable to see any work done anywhere on my property !

The inspector from IHS looked at the roof and claimed there was all kinds of hail damage and he could make sure we got a new roof. As we were selling the house it would have been a good selling point to have a new roof. When I requested he write a report to give to my insurance man?as my insurance man requested? the IHS guy said, "No." and then told me to tell my insurance company how he wanted to do it. The inspector from IHS seemed like a nice guy and all, but I was the customer, he should have done whatever I, or my insurance company requested, but he refused. I thought that was unprofessional, so I went elsewhere. I got two other roofing companies to look at the roof, BOTH said there was only one or two hail strikes (where damage resulted) on the entire roof and there was no way any insurance company would pay for a new roof. So I don't know what the guy from IHS though the saw.

Absolutely dreadful from start to finish. 1) Sales process - they had someone going door to door in my area. I agreed to set up an appt. The sales team was awesome - they did exactly what they are supposed to do. They flashed alot of great product names, stated that they were local company that did not use sub- contractors, offered me a "discount" of $3000 if I signed up that night. They brought in samples and we quickly selected tile, cabinet and sink. I had checked Angie's list prior to this meeting and had seen great reviews so I didn't have any reservations and they were about a $1000 dollars cheaper then been quoted by the contractor I used in the past. I did get them to throw in paint even though they don't typically do that as I was told repeatedly. Wrote a check for $3284.00. Final Notes: the contract was signed 6/4/12 and upon further review of Angie's list the reviews did not include any major projects like bathroom remodeling. 2) Waiting. This is where I was passed from Sales to my "project manager" Correy Everad. He came out and double checked measurements, everything seemed to be moving forward. Then I didn't hear anything from anyone at Integrity. I had to call repeatedly and ask for the status. At one point I was told that they were waiting on the tile. I finally stated that I would pick different tile if that would get this project moving. Still nothing. Finally I tell Correy that this has gone on too long and I am thinking of looking into getting out of the contract. Miraculously they can start the project, the date is 8/28/12. 3) Project Starts. The project started on a Tues and I was told that they would most likely be done by Friday. Correy shows up to get his check first thing in the morning. The guys that are actually going to be doing the work have not arrived at this point. He leaves and some supplies start getting delivered and left on my porch. I assumed the guys would bring them upstairs once they arrived. Around 10:30 they arrived, starting demolishing the bathroom, decide that they are going to need some additional items and leave at 2:30. All of the supplies delivered are still on the porch. My husband and I have to bring them in. There is also no dumpster so trash has started accumulating in my extra bedroom upstairs. I tell myself that I can deal with it for a couple of days. 4) Friday 8/31 - Still nothing installed, trash everywhere (2 bedrooms and a garage), the guys have been gone more than they have been at the house and upon talking to them they don't even know who they work for - they are sub contractors. They do not know Correy or the company. They have repeatedly left the house with water dripping from the pipe in the bathtub directly into the opening where the tub should be. I have to go in and place a trash can under the pipe every time they leave. At noon on Friday I call Correy to tell them that we have made very little progress and I feel like they don't know what they are doing. First thing out of his mouth, "You should have called me sooner.". Pretty sure I am not the project manager and have no idea what is going on. If I knew how to do this myself I would have been doing it. He has not been out one time to check the progress himself. At this point he says he will take care of it and get his top people out next week. He proceeds to call the guys that are upstairs and tell them to get their stuff and get out. I am home by myself and this is a very uncomfortable situation as they walk up and down the stairs with their belongings knowing that I had them removed. 5) Three day weekend - This weekend just happened to be Labor day and so three more days without a tub (only one in the house). Over the next 2 weeks the work was eventually completed. I had trash all over my garage and upstairs for almost 10 days. The tile they used was not Dal Tile as specified in the contract and 2 different brands were used on the bathtub and the floor, so they don't match exactly. The tub was supposed to be an American Standard Americast. It is a Mirabelle fiber glass tub. Which sustained several scratches during installation and is broken on the side which was filled with caulk. The light fixture (that I had to buy) was not centered with the cabinet. The faucets leaked into the cabinet and behind my tub which required them to return in the weeks after the initial installation. The one thing that were good at was collecting their money. I received no discounts due to the product replacements or dreadful experience due to their incompetency. Correy was dismissive and rude when items were brought to his attention. Terrible customer service.

They tried to oversell me on work I did not need, but I held my ground on staying to my budget. They seemed to agree with my requests and I signed a contract with them. I didn't hear from them again for about a month. They sent someone out to confirm the measurements which they shouldn't have needed because I gave them a diagram. They called me last Tuesday asking why there was a hold up. It was not my fault that the lumber was not delivered. A week later they still have not called me about the delivery. I found them to be very rude and unprofessional and I am getting a refund for the deal.

Dearest Member, We here at Integrity Home Solutions thank you for your response to our service. We also value you as an Angie's List Member. In response to the valued member, we will first address our consultant processes for providing information on " decking " . Decking is mainly determined on its functionality, its maintence ability, and size is determined by its usability, all this factors will determine the budget for a deck project. These main points of choosing a deck are all covered up front to insure exactly what the member is looking for wheather they go with our company or choose another company for they're project. We understand your budget ultimately will determine the deck project. Measurements are checked twice on every project with our company and its policy to ensure the product is properly ordered( quanities, style, color, and any special orders needed). When measurements are not taken properly its the companies responsiblity not the customers. We take 100% control and responsiblity over every project to provide the best quality control possible and minimize down time on a project. Agreements( contracts) are made between a customer and a company to ensure clarity on the scope of the project and holds both parties responsible. However, if a customer wants to add to the scope of the project to be performed that could will cause time delays and rescheduling installation crews around the changes. We can be very flexiable and work around customers schedules to make it accommodating for them. Follow up calls on every job is extremely important. We have isolated the communication break down issue and have take steps to ensure this does not happen to another customer. We are a fast growing company and are making adjustments to provide great customer service. Making positive changes help us grow more operate more effeciently. It became immediately apparent that this contractor didn't want small jobs. We didn't need cabinets, lighting, flooring, etc. We just needed (2) 3-1/2' x 8' walls, a door and a shower stall with plumbing & electrical, the sources for which were directly below this bathroom in the basement. He gave my wife a $12,000 to $14,000 ballpark estimate and left. It was well worth $50 to know for sure who not to use.
Description of Work: This was an Angie's List "Big Deal". For our $50, someone would come out, diagram our bathroom project and give us a written estimate. The job entailed closing off a hallway and installing a shower stall.

Very pleased overall. There wasn't a lot to be done unless I was ready for a new roof, which I'm not looking for at this time. However, they did a thorough inspection of the roof and exterior. Thankfully, they pointed out a faulty inground sprinkler head that was leaking and washing way the dirt next to the foundation leaving a hole - which I later realized was causing some moisture in my basement! They told me how to get it repaired and took the time to show me the problem. I have no idea how long this sprinkler had been leaking and it certainly wasn't related to the "roof tune-up" I purchased, but I'm very grateful they noticed it and said something! Will definitely use them when I'm ready for a new roof!

I think we liked the installers. They were very good on both jobs. There is a window that still needs to be replaced that had a defect. I do not think I am really pleased with the service. They were supposed to have somebody call right away and they did not. Finally after a month, I called them. He was supposed to call me the next day and it has been four days now. I am not really happy about that. Otherwise, the windows are good.

Overall, the experience was great. Jay was flexible, and generous with his time in conversation. He was very engaged and energetic about the work. Even though it feels cool outside now, the fan is already working. I look forward to seeing the benefit next summer, or if we return to unseasonably hot weather again soon. Initially the responsiveness was an A, but my follow-up questions about documentation of the attic fan, which was initially offered to me, seem to have been ignored.

Jay and Eric arrived early for our scheduled appointment after several amicable phone calls and worked diligently to install a solar powered attic fan. When Jay arrived he notified me that we were upgraded to a 1900 Series Fan from our originally purchased 1100 Series fan, citing that we would experience an even greater cooling effect over a greater coverage of square feet. This was a pleasant and unexpected surprise and we are very grateful to have such an upgrade! Eric is kind, skilled, professional, and he worked quickly as he installed the fan in less time that I was quoted. Eric also noticed a few roofing maintenance issues and he fixed several troubled spots after installing the fan. This kind of customer service really goes above and beyond what I expected; Eric came to do one job, but he happily helped our family by fixing these problems. Eric replaced several shingles which had blown off from our dormer, he also repaired leaking spots on our stack pipes, Eric placed silicon beads in areas where the roofing shingles were eaten down to the wood, by squirrels and damaged by a fallen tree limb. Both Jay and Eric also noticed that we had signs of hail damage and offered to be of any support that they could with future repairs. I am completely satisfied and thankful for all of the hard work that Eric and Jay did to preserve our home. All of the experiences with Jay and Eric: from the phone calls, the in-person meetings, to the installation of the purchased product, were excellent. I would highly recommend their services and I will be calling them in the future, as they proved to our family that they are honest, professional, and trustworthy. Thank you for making this experience so extraordinary!

We purchased the service online from Angie's list deals. We called the company for an appointment and Jay Johnson returned our call quickly and set up a time to come out. On the day of service he arrived on time and took the time to explain what he was going to do. He started outside and inspected the roof for damage. He then sealed around all the openings in the roof and then came in to check the attic. While we were talking I told him I had heard some scratching up there the day before. He said no problem he would check it out while he was up there. He took his time and did a thorough check, our ceilings are vaulted, so he was working in a very tight space, but he was still able to find the source of my worrisome scratching and also took pictures of a problem he found that our roofers had caused. He then went back on the roof to reseal an area he didn't think had been done well enough. He was helpful with the problem he had found with our skylight and gave us several suggestions on how to handle it. There was no hard sell on the other services his company offers or for them to do the repair work on our skylight. I was extremely happy with the entire process. I will definitely use them again when I need work done around the house.

Initiallly the company missed 2 scheduled appointments and I gave them an unfavorable review. However, they made it up to me. They were very concerned about the missed appointments. Jay Johnson of Integrity called me several times to apologize and ended up coming out to do the inspection and fill in some cracks for free. He told me that they have since revised how they take appointments because of my experience. Everyone makes mistakes and it's how those mistakes are handled which shows the true character of the owners. I felt like they were sincere in their apology. If you call to make an appointment, ask for Jay Johnson.

Unbelievable is how I would sum it up. Seems our builder, who was a structural engineer by trade, did such a great job of providing plentiful air intake vents, plus he added venting at the top peak of all of our roofs. The outside temperature was 100 degrees and the attic temperature was well below the 20 degree variance recommended by industry standards. Additionally, the insulation depth exceeded the minimum industry standards but was less than that recommended rating for our region which is R49. Jay said that increasing the insulation to R49 would only save about $50 a year in heating bills. He said if I was planning on staying more than 10 years than he would recommend the increase to R49. Jay's conclusion: we have fantastic air flow in the attic area and an attic fan is not necessary. Now this is an honest company. I knew I needed to share this experience with my fellow Angie's members. When it comes time to do any remodeling, this is the company I am going to use.
Description of Work: I was interested in Integrity's Big Deal; a solar attic fan. I thought it might lower my heating/cooling costs. I called and asked if Jay could examine my attic area to see if the fan would be beneficial to reducing my utility bills. I live in a villa, and I wanted to obtain as much information as possible because I would have to submit a request to the homeowners association for permission to install the fan. Plus, I thought if the homeowners association would permit the fan other owners might also want to take advantage of the offer if the homeowners association gave their blessing for it to be installed. I made an appointment with Jay to make an assessment for me. Before entering my home Jay drove around our complex checking out the air vent locations and the general air flow in the attic space. He also got up into the attic area to make sure my soffit vents were not blocked by blown-in insulation and to checkout the R factor of insulation in the attic areas.

I would grade them overall an A and would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: For remodeling I used Integrity Home Solutions. They installed a whole new doorframe for me about two or three weeks ago. They did give me a discount when I supplied a letter of reference. I found them through Angie's List.

The price was reasonable. They cleaned up after themselves, they were courteous and the manager ended up going to extra extents to get a skylight for it. He had to pay big bucks to fulfill what he promised. My husband was happy with it. They were there the day they said they would be and everything was great.
Description of Work: Integrity Home Solutions re roofed a shed.
