Yesterday (9/25/14) we had our furnace inspected for the upcoming heating season. The technician sent to our home was Mel. We have dealt with Budget for several years now and any time we've needed service or it's maintenance time, Budget sends the best people! Mel is no exception...but is exceptional! He is even pet friendly; our Lucy loved him! He is not only competent, but represents his company well. Personable and professional...great combo! To get both know how and nice at the same time in one service provider is awesome! Especially today, when rip-offs and high pressure tactics abound! We always know that when Budget Heating and Cooling is coming, we can relax and know we'll be taken care of very well. And Mel? He's welcome here any time! Thank you, Budget HVAC and thank you, Mel!

Budget was sent to our home by our home warranty company HSA to repair a leaking drain. As required by the home warranty they collected the 100 dollar trade fee and identified the problem as a cracked drain pipe heading to our basement. The technician explained that the crack could have been caused by a number of issues, most likely a frozen drain pipe over winter, although impossible to tell for sure. Several days later, I received a letter from my warrant company explaining denial of claim. They stated that Budget described the drain failure as being secondary to soil movement causing foundation shifting, which is not covered under warranty. I immediately called Budget to explain the discrepancy and was rudely informed by the front office staff that ALL drain pipe breaks that occur near basement are caused by soil movement and foundation shifting and stated that the technician must have explained this to me since he was their "best" technician. When I protested and explained that he stated it was caused most likely by frozen pipes, I was told that the diagnosis would not be changed and that I should seek a second opinion at my cost. It is clear that Budget simply wants to have warranty coverage denial so that they can collect the trade fee and then charge retail cost for repairs. HIGHLY unethical behavior and would not recommend them to anyone!

Please be aware, this company is unethical and illegal. My warranty company provided this company to service my hot water heater. They were able to get me a new one, they provided me an invoice documenting my deductible of $75.00. Company tried to tell the warranty company that I would have out of pocket costs for an expansion tank and permits, 3 days later. I confirmed with my warranty company those were cost were covered under my warranty. Then the day before the service they claimed I would have out of pocket cost for modifications. I asked for details regarding this and I was told by Lacy I would have to talk to the technician at the time they installed the unit. When the tech came out, he said there would be no modifications with my unit, it would be an easy install, so there would be no extra costs. I was never provided an invoice at the time of service. The next business day I received a hateful call from Lacy, stating I had to give her $190 right now or they were turning me over to collections. I ask what for, she said the modifications, I informed her modifications were not done, and this was confirmed at the time of service (I have picture evidence no modifications occurred) in addition I had never received an invoice nor did I ever agree to any charges other than my deductible. A month and a half later, I received a letter from a collection agency. I requested a signed agreement, they provided me the invoice from the first visit for my deductible. Budget decided since they didn't have an agreement they would add additional charges to the original. This was a fraudulent document as I still have the one they provided and this information was not included. The difference in handwriting is so noticeable it is crazy that they have tried to pass this off as a document that I agreed to. It also states the cost was only $75 and nothing more. The company is trying to make up the difference from what they normally charge and what the warranty company pays. This illegal act should shut this company down. Lacy is the most rude and unethical person I have ever talked to, I have heard this company has a very bad reputation in the industry. Stay away....

Did a very professional job.

My home warranty company selected them to resolve my problem - gas leak. I talked with someone in their office at 9:25 am and they said I was scheduled between 10 and 2. I told them I wasn't sure I could get back home in time for 10. They talked with the technician and said they still had 1.5 hours left on current job so 11-2 was fine. By 1pm they hadn't arrived or called so I called back. They said I wasn't scheduled. They said, That they had never talked to me and I would have to wait until the next day. They then suggested that they could tell my warranty company that they wouldn't do the work. I called the warranty company to get someone else.

service man was good to deal with. Office personnel needs to be more attentive. Keep in mind this was an insurance deal so companies have a harder time collecting from them. The customer is caught in the middle. However, I think office personnel should have responded in a more efficient and timely manner. I wouldn't use this provider in the future mostly because of the location. They are too far from our home.

Daniel came out and had our hot water heater up and running in just a few minutes. He gave me some great advice and was professional and courteous. We will definitely be using this company again! Thanks!

Do get bids and don't rely on on just picking someone without a certain amount of background work. This company was also recommended by a major supplier, which I had previously used for installation services of kitchen equipment.

My compressor died on my AC and Budget Plumbing was contracted by my home warranty company to come out and fix the problem. While I like my home warranty for the most part I am always a bit skeptical when they send a new company out that I had never heard of. I checked the BBB and was happy to see they were well regarded on that front. Sadly Angie's list had no info so I had to wait and see. This company was great to work with. They came out and confirmed the compressor needed replacing (replaced only 3 years prior by another company). They contact the home warranty service and within 5 days was back at my home installing the new compressor. No BS... no attempted cross sell to a new unit just a new perfectly humming new compressor. Turns out the previous company contracted to replace my compressor 4 years ago simply installed the wrong type using a reconditioned out of warranty unit which was bound to fail eventually. Thanks to budget for a quick, fair and professional job. The only charge was my copayment and I am very happy my warranty company referred my request to budget.
