Aztec Climate Control

They did not fix our generator and they actually worked on it incorrectly. They said they would pay for damages that had to be fixed by another company and they have not. We will never use them again. They are in our personal penalty box!

We have a house generator that runs on natural gas and had an extended warrantee, which Aztec Climate Control Inc. said they would honor after the former company went out of business and separated into Aztec Climate Control Inc. and an electrical company. Our generator started running on its own, cycling on and off, sputtering and misfiring. (We believe the first visit was either the 8/11/10 visit or an earlier one.) After repairing the unit and replacing the spark plug, the unit started sputtering and misfiring on its next weekly test cycle. We had Aztec out several times trying to diagnose and fix the problem, unsuccessfully. At one point they told me over the phone that if they couldn?t fix it they would pay somebody else to fix it. Shortly after that, they started canceling visits, just not showing up, and finally they just stopped answering my phone calls or responding to my messages. If I used a different phone I sometimes got through to someone, told they would come out, and was then ignored with no one showing up at the appointed time. It seemed, that when the problem actually started to cost them, they started avoiding the issue. Eventually, I called the company they said they would use to repair it should they be unable. The other company found several things they had done wrong, the calibration of valves were off and they even used the wrong type spark plug for the generator repair. The total cost was $ 714.41 ($ 158.53 for the initial visit and diagnosis, and $ 555.88 for parts and to complete the repairs). I sent Aztec Climate Control Inc. a certified letter with return receipt on December 16, 2010 and then called them to get my refund early January. They told me they were in the process of drafting a response and would send it out that Friday. Well, its February 9, 2011 and I have not heard from them. If you ever want quality and consideration for your time and effort use somebody else, ANYBODY else!
