Fridge not cooling issue. Was charged $89 to cable tie two parts together (with a cable tie I provided) which theoretically was the repair "Whirlpool" wanted them to perform. Present 5 minutes. NO diagnosis whatsoever. Of course, did not change anything. I called AAA, wanted them to send another person to do diagnosis after the situation did not change. Instead, they put my repair guy on the phone who said I should be patient, it needed 24 hours to get cold (not just 6 I waited). If that was not the fix then he would order refrigerant parts because that's the only other thing it could be. WRONG!!! I hired Hoffman Brothers who spent time properly diagnosing & found the fan was not working 4" from the cable tie job that cost me $89. In 2 hours Hoffman fetched the part & had refrigerator working immediately, not 24 hours. Taught me to NEVER CALL THIS COMPANY AGAIN. So GROSELY INCOMPETANT.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ON PLANET EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTE TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Over five years being a club member and spending $14,237.88 of my hard earned money with AAA Home Services, I was yelled at, talked down towards, and treated like a second class customer. 4/25/2022 - My dryer broke and Jon M from AAA Home Services came out to diagnose the issue. it was determined two parts were needed. Jon M mentioned "since it's an LG and it's Chinese junk, it might take two weeks to get parts." Perhaps the technician was dragging his feet because he dislikes Chinese appliances? Why would that even matter? 5/27/2022 - I called AAA Home Services looking for Jessica to find out she was not in the office. Gail Narsh flat out lied to me on the phone on 5/26 to get me put of her hair. Gail had no intention of helping me at all. After being transferred three more times by Gail, to another full voicemail box, I was able to get a real person on the phone. Brian Probst, the owner's son. I expressed my frustration to Brian Probst that I was being talked down towards, being transferred to full voicemail boxes, and I couldn't get any answers or information about my dryer repair. Brian didn't care either. Instead of apologizing Brian Probst stated, “his organization was very busy with work and we are doing the best we can and we don't appreciate you keep calling clogging up our phone lines". I explained to Brian if a real person would answer the phone, and provide me information about my repair, I wouldn't have to keep calling. Brian called me back a hour later and stated the diagnosis paperwork had been sent to the warranty company today as of 5/27 but no explanation why it took 14 days to send it. Brian was not able to provide a timeframe on the parts. I received no apology and the tone of everyone I've spoken with is rude and anti-customer service. They 100% don't care. THE LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/1/2022 - Tyler from AAA Home Services came out, took my dryer apart and deduced the issue is the motor. Why did it take 41 days for AAA Home Services to figure that out. I’ve received the run-around, was talked down towards, disrespected, and treated like a second class customer. Nobody has even once apologized to me at all. Worst of all, it took 41 days for my dryer to be diagnosed because AAA Home Services dropped the ball on the whole process. ABSOLUTE TRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute trash of a company...unfortunately this is the norm today...terrible customer service...no accountability...no care....just take money and run. Home Warranty company sent this trash out to my home to diagnose the fridge and write up a work order to submit to warranty company to either fix or replace fridge. Numb nuts said he'd send the work order over immediately....well 4 days later and warranty company still doesn't have it. Call AAA office and the dunce on the phone sends you to a full voice-mail box of the alleged manager phone line. Beyond aggravating. We pay for this crap today!

Wish I could rank Zero stars. Called AAA to come out because I believe I may have a refrigerant leak because my freezer stopped working. They say someone will be out the next day between 12-4p.m. The next day at approximately "425pm", I get a call saying they're "on their way." The technician comes inside, gets his flashlight out, opens my freezer door and sees the frost I called about, doesn't take the drawers out, I offered too but he said "no", he doesn't put the fridge in diagnostic mode, doesn't get any tool out of his bag but his flashlight and uses it for 10 seconds, maybe. Then says "yep" you right you "might" have a leak? Remember, this is why I called in the first place. He starts writing up the bill and getting me a "quote" to "verify" the leak. And gives me my $90 invoice for his flashlight check of frost. Which I knew about and was the reason I called them. So I'm paying $90 for him to come out and tell me exactly what I already knew, literally the reason I called them. Now I'm told I will have to call back and have a different guy come out, which is going to cost $250, to "verify" the leak. So, $340 total now to verify the leak. This was Friday and approximately 5p.m., the technician couldn't get out of my house fast enough. The weekend was here and he was ready to go, I get it but wow I've never seen anything like this. I sat on this all weekend and it was bothering me so I decided to call on Monday. I did and finally got ahold of the Manager Bryan. He tells me I "do" have a leak. Wait? Now I "do" have one? Not "might" anymore? and he say's because of the frost buildup. I ask, if he knows this by me just telling him why didn't they tell me this on my initial call and why would he charge me a diagnostic trip fee ($90) if he can just tell me this over the phone? He immediatley backtracks and tries to get technical with me, explaining "sealed systems", which I'm familiar with already, he won't let me finish a sentence or get a word in, he has no answer and it was pathetic listening to his sorry justification attempt, he thought he was talking to someone who doesn't know anything about this kind of stuff. He clearly knew they were in the wrong but instead of doing the right thing and sending someone back out or refunding my $90 he tells me to "check to see if it's under warranty and it won't cost me anything", this is what he says to me, I couldn't make this up even if I tried. It's not about the $90, it's about principal. He was condescending, refused to hear anything I had to say, kept cutting me off and extremely unprofessional. I am really disappointed and surprised by all this, I've done business with AAA in their parts department for years and have always been pleased. By the way Bryan talked to me and wasn't at all willing to listen to the facts I will never do business with AAA. I even used to refer them, not anymore. So sad, all this over $90. Shame on AAA

Awesome. I didn't realize the awesome Bosch was 7 years old, but it has sure been a good machine. Best Buy pulled up my records and recommended two companies: Mid America Services and AAA Appliances (in that order). I called Mid America and had a most unremarkable reception, said, thanks but no thanks and called AAA. Bam took my call, was kind, helpful and got a repairman over that same day. And, she must have picked their best, Justin was AWESOME. My machine is running again like a champ and Gail followed up to make sure all was well. What a professional, personal company. So rare these days. Seriously, this repairman was incredible, kind, and I wanted to invite him to dinner! What a great experience. ;)

They keep replacing parts. First it was $129. Then another $66. Then another $169. Add on the service charge. They would still be changing parts had I not stopped it 5 weeks later. $270 down the drain. Not a reputable provider. Avoid at all costs. The shame of it is they think they should get paid no matter what even though it wasn't fixed.

BUYER BEWARE! Unethically, they overcharge you on parts, labor & service charge. They didn't disclose to me over the phone the $79.50 service charge. I didn't find out until the service man quoted me. I was charged $88 for a $22 part on Ebay ( WP3387747 Dryer Heater Heating Element fits Whirlpool Kenmore AP6008281 ). $107 labor which takes 5 minutes to do, plus a $79.50 service charge. I spoke with Jessica Primeau , the manager, in regards to the overcharging and she would not adjust the price. Jessica stated that the part was more expensive because they get it straight from the manufacturer and it's not always available. Really? Go to Ebay and it's fast and free shipping for only $22 brand new and they have thousands available.

It’s the only place I know of in the area where you can buy a Speed Queen washer and dryer. The workers were fine. The installation took less than an hour.

Justin checked out error code on stove, ordered needed part and returned promptly to install repair part. Stove now works perfectly. Justin was prompt, (called to let me know he was on his way, as requested), thorough, efficient. I was very pleased with his work.
Description of Work: Stove showing error code after water leaked thru ceiling from condo unit above. When Justin arrived the stove worked perfectly, but he advised that sometimes the electronic controls will malfunction later, and that return service call would be free of charge for 30 days, and to turn the stove on to test it frequently. Approx 1 week later, the stove again malfunctioned.

I sign up for their yearly contract. Every time I call them for plumbing, electric, appliances, heating and cooling they come out for $34.95 a visit. The other places charge you $80 to just walk in the door. You get a clean-up of your furnace in the fall, and the clean out of your air conditioner in the spring. They will come and fix any other things that have broken. I have also bought an air conditioner with them. They are awesome. They are very handy. They are good guys.

They run a full page ad in the yellow pages stating that they fix all brands. I have an old stove, which I had researched the brand. It's no longer a brand of it's own but Maytag brought the company. I called them and told them what I had and what the problem was. They said that they could take care of it. They scheduled an afternoon appointment, and called the same day and told me that they have a serviceman already in the neighborhood that morning and would it be okay if he came by. He comes by and looks at it, he called somebody at the office, they talked to him and he didn't fix it. They charged me a service call. I called the office to specify the pay, if they would have told me they could not do it, I would have called a gas company.

Any repairs needed are extra for labor and materials, but I get a discount. I also have had some maintenance work done like replacing the water heater several years ago and some other plumbing. They do a good job. There was no charge for the last service. I have an annual club member fee of $90 that includes two inspections for free. The thing I like about these folks is they do plumbing, heating, air conditioning and electrical. I don't have to go to three different companies. They have all the people to take care of problems you may have in the areas I just said.
Description of Work: Typically I use AAA Home Services for heating and air conditioning service. I use them twice a year to check out and inspect the spring air conditioning system and in the fall to check the heating system.

They totally flopped on repair. Took over 1 month to complete. Did not communicate well with problem or when unit would be fixed. I ended up having to call manufacturer to get parts that they said they could not get. When they returned unit, still had problems and called 2 m later about noise in tub. They refused to come out and look at it without documentation from manufacturer about extended warranty. Very frustrating,because all previous work was done under extended warranty. they could/would not follow through on their work. They have lost a customer.

They have come out many times to try and fix the old unit. The service rep did his best to try and get it working again but just could not get it fixed. They were not pushy when trying to sell me the new unit. That price includes tax installation and everything.

Mitch came and spent about 30 minutes doing a fabulous job resolving the new issue. Not only that, they didn't charge us for this recent service because their service last week gave us a 30-day warranty. So they fixed the new problem completely free, even though it was an issue that was completely unrelated to the problem they solved last week.
Description of Work: Last week they came to fix our gas range and we paid $78 for that service call. They fixed the issue at the time but yesterday my wife found another separate issue. We contacted them to resolve this issue as well.

Called the office with a pre-diagnosed problem with a dishwasher. Service technician was scheduled to come that afternoon with parts on the truck. Technician (ED8627) arrived and was whistling and rude with no parts on the truck. When price came back for the repair that was WAY higher than expected , I telephoned my husband/partner. At that moment, technician Ed exhaled and said something like "Oh No." When Ed was walking out the door, he said "don't hurt yourself cleaning." After Ed left, I called the office and was passed to Brian. Brian was VERY, VERY aggressive and VERY, VERY loud on the phone. He never tried to listen to what I was saying and even had the audacity to TWICE ask to speak with my husband. Lookout -- this is a very sexist company. UPDATE: After writing the above review, I telephoned the office and asked to speak with an owner. That owner subsequently agreed to refund my $68.50 and said he would speak to his staff at their next weekly meeting. The refund check arrived in the postal mail a few days later. Today, via USPS, I received the attached apology letter. Thank you, AAA Home Services, for taking the time to apologize. It is appreciated. As such, I moved my "F" ratings to "C" ratings in the Overall, Price, Quality, and Professionalism categories. I would have moved my "No" response to "Would you use this provider in the future?" to a "Maybe" answer if that were an option on Angie's List.
Description of Work: Whistle and be rude for $68.50 UPDATE: AAA Home Services refunded my $68.50 and wrote an apology letter. See attached.

It was a great experience. The man that did the repair has completed many repairs for me. He's very, very good.
Description of Work: Made a recall repair on my fridge. A light would stay on in the fridge & it was melting the fridge itself. They found a warrranty recall for me. They fixed it for me. I only had to pay a $49.00 service call. The rest was free because it was a recall.

I found them originally when I moved in here about nine years ago. I have been using them for a long time. I like everything they do. They are prompt. They confirm when they are coming. They adjust their schedule if needed to suit my schedule. The workmen they send out are excellent. Everybody knows their business very well. The electrician, when he came in his first or second visit probably six years ago or so and I told him that a plug was not working and he opened up the plug, found that the wires were not attached to that plug. He said that if I had used either one to the right or left of that existing plug, there would have been a fire and could have burned down the whole house. So, that was very important to me because I had someone else come in at some point and related I think to the builder and he could not find out what the problem was. This guy found it right away and attached the wires. I felt a lot safer because of that. My interactions with them have been excellent. The work they did turned out very well. Their price is very good. I am a plan member. I have what is called a gold plan with them and I pay $300 a year for their services. They then reduced their service calls. The charge for coming to the house is reduced by half and that includes them doing the heating and air conditioning set-up fall and winter. So, I was actually using another company, Design Air, for the heating and cooling and I stopped using them because if I get this gold service, I reduce other service charges when they come. They are always looking for ways to actually charge me less. The air cleaners we saw at one of their conferences about two months ago and they remembered that I was there. My husband and I take a look at the air cleaners because we were looking for something to clean the air and did not want anything noisy. They had a system that looked very good. Yesterday when he came instead of it being $1,200, it was $1,050 to install them. The quality of their work is excellent.
Description of Work: I have used AAA Home Services. They were just here yesterday, but I use them probably every other month for something. Yesterday, they installed some air cleaners and before that they had installed some special air filters. They have done all kinds of works. They replaced my disposal a few months back. They replaced an operational panel where you push the buttons on the dishwasher. They had done tremendous amount of electrical work, switching us to LED bulbs, and installing new items that I needed.
