Water/Foundation Issue...Wow not sure where. I read the reviews and speaking from my own experience with Jacob well the review were spot on. Here are a few words to describe my experience with working with Jacob. PUNCTUALITY - in addition to the long checklist of requirements, this is super important. Although I'm located in a different state, he was able to meet with a member of the team to do the structural inspection. 5 Star Rating - On time arrival for appointment. SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE - Jacob's professional and his willingness to go above and beyond to identify the problem and provided solutions to solve it. Despite having a very challenging week, he was a great listener during our initial call. Here's what I learned in the process. He was able to provide an objective opinion without any prior knowledge of the project. He was able to validate similar information provided by another company. This validation will help the company to move forward with making a more informed decision based on his inspection report. Confirmation and validation is key...The goal is to ensure that we due our diligence is done and because of Angie's List we were able to achieve this. 5 Star Rating RECOMMENDATION - Similar to the other reviewers I would highly recommend him !and his company. I am a first time homebuyer that recently purchased an older home (1917) in Washington, MO. It has some known issues that need to be addressed with the main support beam for the house in the basement. This was a little unnerving, but Jacob has given us the confidence to know how to remedy the issues with easy to understand explanations and a very thorough, detailed, and stamped report (which will be helpful in the permit process). During the inspection he was able to engineer our beam on the fly, with laptop in tow. He was also able to confirm a load bearing wall that we are wanting to remove and specâ  d out the coinciding beam and posts needed to replace it. Jacob was great at â  taking his engineer cap offâ  and breaking things down simply. Communication during the whole process was concise and timely. I received the report the next day, a Saturday at that! Finding a residential structural engineer isnâ  t easy, so I was glad to have found a good one in Jacob!

Jacob did an excellent job assessing our floor/joist issues. He explained his findings very well, showing us the areas it boiled down to, and described the best ways to remediate the problem. He likewise provided us with the level of urgency associated with the problem area. I would hire Jacob again for any structural engineering issues, and found him easy to talk to and trustworthy. When it's your house, you want it done right, and I certainly appreciated the level of quality and knowledge he provided. His prices were very reasonable.

Jacob showed up on time and was very knowledgeable about assessing the problem we hired him to address. He patiently explained the issues and answered all questions. I would hire him again if necessary. I received his report promptly as well.

Jacob did a great job explaining the issues he found and was very patient in answering my questions. He took the time to tour the house and basement, even though my home is full of obstacles to walk through. I'm satisfied with the conversation we had and the report we received, and I feel now feel able to handle some of the bigger projects I've been needing to get bids and start work on.
