 + -1 moreMr. Whitworth came to our home to evaluate the size and scope of the refinishing. He spoke with me regarding my wishes. He was honest about the risk of chipping to our painted wainscoting and being unable to remove every stain. After stripping and sanding he showed me areas he couldn't get completely clean to make sure they were OK. Prior to working he sealed off the rooms and made sure we had access to the upper floor. He also cleaned the areas of dust prior to leaving for the day. He helped us choose stain colors and let me know how much color change to expect over time and with sun exposure. When it came time for the final sealant, there was a sale on the product and he passed the savings on to me. Very professional, personable, and did a great job. I would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Stripped 24 years of old wax from a 32x12 foot room, a 14x14 room, and a bathroom. Sanded the floors to remove stains. Placed multiple stain samples on the floor, even going home to pick up a specific stain to demonstrate. Sealed the floor after going over the pros and cons of oil vs water based sealants.

 + -1 moreKurt Whitworth did a wonderful job refinishing all of the hardwood floors in our house. He had helpful insights and recommendations throughout the process and managed to stay on budget. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: We had all the floors in our house refinished, new shoe molding installed along all walls, and flush-mounted wood floor vents installed to replace our existing metal HVAC vents.
