 + -1 moreI have had them for decades. They come every month. When the grass is growing they come weekly. Their pricing is complicated because they do a lot of things that are optional, but it typically costs $40 per grass mowing. Then they maintain flower beds and such. The price depends on what they do. Their quality seems excellent. They come when there is work to be done and come as needed. They are quite professional. They have also built retaining walls for me and other such things.

 + 2 moreI have been very pleased with them. They have done excellent work and they are very responsible. They are a very good company to work with. I would highly recommend them. We have done a great deal with them. They are very effective. The manager was spot on. He was there to check things out every day. The employees were respectful, trustworthy and they did good work. The price was a little high but not as high as some people. Their retaining wall and stonework was an A+. They were very responsive. I would use them again for retaining walls and pavers.
Description of Work: They did snow removal last winter. They built a retaining wall last year. They have also done lighting and landscaping.

 + 0 moreI've used West County Gardens (as do many in the neighborhood) for quarterly tree and shrub treatments but this year?s ruinous storms resulted in significant damage to many trees. West County Gardens staff worked in the cold and rain, triaging for trees in danger or houses threatened, and worked for and coordinated among, several neighbors while keeping all of us informed of the work, delays and schedules. Another ongoing highlight is West County?s care for a neighbor?s huge, beautiful Tulip Popular that has been plagued with an unusual infestation of aphids and wasps. West County researched the stubborn problem, even involving the Mo. Botanical Gardens? experts, and found a cure. The tree is a favorite in the neighborhood and while most of us assumed we?d lose it, West County Gardens came through with the expertise, commitment and a stubborn resolve to find the answer and saved the tree.
Description of Work: West County Gardens is the best you could have to address storm damage to trees and shrubs. They literally saved houses from serious damage, trimmed, removed and sawed huge trees throughout our neighborhood. They also have preserved the health of our trees with quarterly spraying and fertilizing.

Description of Work: West County Gardens has perform regular landscaping service at my home for 5/years. Clean debris from flower beds, trim trees/shrubs, treat lawn throughout year, etc. They are punctual, work hard and do a nice job. If I want something trimmed more or have a problem, John - the owner ensures work is performed to my satisfaction. Recently purchased a home for my daughter. The back lawn had knee level weed and overgrowth, and a large dead tree close to the driveway. He came out the day after I called, reviewed the property and sent a crew over the next day in the rain. Within 2-3 hours the work was done. They cut the small front and very large back lawn twice, raking in between cuttings to remove debris and weeds. They put down lawn treatment and removed the tree. The next day they stopped by to put "scrap" sod where tree was removed to improve appearance. John called to let me know they stopped by to place scrap sod on area and did not charge for the service. $ amount above includes yearly service at my home and1-time service at my daughter's home.

 + 0 moreWe were very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the communication between the designer, sales rep and construction crew. I would highly recommend this company. We will have them back within the next year to do additional retaining wall work.
Description of Work: West County Gardens took our ideas and incorporated them into a design that resulted in a beautiful patio and retaining wall with firepit and wall seating.

 + 0 moreWhile the owner and manager were very nice in the end they did not deliver what they promised. Landscaping businesses are hit or miss.
Description of Work: We hired West County Gardens to not only mow our lawn, but to help us with our backyard which has drainage problems. The grass was always soggy, after many thousands of dollars the problem remains. They really don't know anything about flowers or how to trim small bushes. FYI they worked at my home all this season, so I just picked a date to satisfy your software.

 + -1 moreThey come out on a regular basis to get the work done. They cut the grass as well as maintain the beds. The price that they charge is not cheap, but they do good work. The company has not only done landscaping, but has also built several stone walls for us. They have built a huge retaining wall too which is like 8 feet tall. They have put paving stones in our driveway. They do a lot of other things and seem to have good people. That's why we have been using their services for so many years. I am not sure if they are competitive, as we haven't done any comparison shopping for many years now. However, I feel that their prices are reasonable. I have been happy with whatever they have done for us so far.
Description of Work: We have been using the services of West County Gardens for our landscaping work for probably 10 to 15 years now. Their last visit was yesterday for mowing my lawn.

 + -1 moreThey come once a week and do the mowing. They have also done some extensive work like putting in a paving stone driveway and also put large and small retaining walls. They are professional and the quality of their work is very good. I have been quite satisfied with their service so far.
