This job was expidited with plenty of men & equipment for each part of job that needed to be done. Bob Krull was the man who originally measured the job & was also there on site to manage everything. He was very polite, gracious & professional. The Wegener crew worked very quickly & now the finished end of our driveway looks great; replacing that washed-out rutted mess!

I called them three times over two weeks seeking an estimate to repave my driveway. They kept calling back and telling me they would go look at it "tomorrow" and get me a bid. Then ... nothing. Each time I called there was no recollection of any previous call.

Wegener Asphalt was the third estimate that I received and was priced in the middle. They were the most responsive and professional of the three where the owner performed the estimate himself. Expecting to wait a few weeks as their calendar was full, I was surprised when they called after only 2 weeks. Weather had caused a delay in a scheduled job and he fit me into his modified schedule. Chris' team arrived on time and began work immediately. The workers seem to have a rhythm, as though they were choreographed, each one performing a different task but not getting in each other's way. The work was completed in about 4 hours as promised and all aspects of the contract had been fulfilled. They cleaned up their material and swept the roadway of all debris. I'm extremely satisfied with the entire process start to finish. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone in the Saint Louis area looking for asphalt work to be performed.

Chris came to my house the same day he called. They are very busy this time of year and I appreciate the personal visit. My driveway needed more work than I initially thought, so I am holding off for now, but will definitely be calling Wegener when the time comes. Chris was very knowledgeable and very personable.

Work was as scheduled and on time - with good quality. Original estimate was increased on-site by the contractor (who is different from the estimator) as he felt the estimator had miss-judged the amount of work required. New estimate was agreed to before work commenced and that amount was paid.

The estimate hapedend on time and the job was performed as soon as was possible considering the weather. It was about a week. The crew and Chris, the owner showed up as scheduled and went to work. Having watched the original driveway paver work and the difference in equipment led me to understand why the original driveway surface was so bad. Wegener paving had a much bigger paver and enough crew to get the time sensitive work done before the composition of the asphalt cooled. This made for a smooth uniform surface. It has been over a month and much heat and the driveway has held up. I plan to seal it later, in October perhaps. I will use Wegener for this too.

When I first called the company they sent someone to me provide an estimate. He said that they could just demolish part of the driveway to save some money & then put a thin coat of asphalt over the whole driveway to seal it all together. When they came out to actually do the work, the owner of the company, Chris, showed up with a crew & told me there was no way to do what the previous person told me - that we'd have to demolish the whole thing. He said there was no way he could do what was arranged previously & gave me a new price of about $4100. I told him that I was quoted $2200 & explained again what I was previously told. I told him that another company gave me a bid for the whole driveway for $4000 after he refused to honor the previous estimate again. I showed him the quote from the other company & he said he could do the whole job for $4000 - as long as we paid cash. He was quite unpleasant through this process. I agreed to this arrangement because I was stuck; I just needed the work done & done properly. The next day they were pouring the asphalt. Chris came out that day & I asked him to level a part of the driveway by garage door that wasn't level. He got very mad, threw papers on the ground, & started screaming. Very unprofessional. I just told him I wanted him to do the job correctly. I also asked him to pour more asphalt to cover rocks at the end of the driveway. He argued with me on this as well but eventually did it. He was just incredibly unprofessional through the whole process. I gave him the cash at the end. He was very happy to get it & said he said I should tell Angie's List that he did a good job. I did not submit a review at all at that time. Just four months after that, the driveway started to crack. He'd told me to call if that happened so I did. They sent someone out to patch the crack. They were also originally supposed to grade the driveway so that water would go into the lawn, but now there's a puddle in front of the garage in an uneven spot. They've fixed these things but now the driveway looks patched & the crack that was patched is very visible. I should've just called the person who quoted $4000 in the first place.

I got three estimates from different people and he was the best one. It turned out real nice. One guy we got an estimate from wanted $4,000 and the other one wanted $2,700, but this guy knew exactly what to do. He came and looked at it and told me that he was going to tear the whole thing out. He was only here for about 3 1/2 hours. It was a real nice price and I thought it was great. He was right on time and was here exactly when he said he was going to be here. He owns his own company and all his employees had their own t-shirts with his name on it and everything.

We had several companies come out to bid our 1.2 mile long driveway. Chris Wegener was the only one who thought outside the box on alternatives ways to save us money. We had our driveway chip n' sealed twice in the past by a different company and had some asphalt repairs a year ago by a different company. We needed the whole driveway redone and we invited numerous companies to come and bid on it and give us suggestions. Chris Wegener was an honest, straight shooting kind of guy. He suggested we do wedge asphalt and we researched his suggestion and went and looked at some jobs he had done. We chose to use Chris and we are thankful we did. We received asphalt at a lower price than any of the chip n' seal bids we received from the other companies. Since we had a good base down on our road already, the wedge asphalt worked out great. We were very impressed that the guy that bid your job, Chris Wegener and also the owner, was present on the job the whole time. This makes for a big difference in what we had experienced in the past with other companies! We would recommend Cris Wegener and his crew!

1. Provided limited notice as to when they would arrive 2. Once driveway work was completed there were 2 noticeable low spots; once notified, the co came out to fix them ? I was assured the fixes would not be noticeable 3. Fixes are noticeable

Chris Wegener himself arrived on time to look over the job and gave me a very good price. He also described in detail what they planned to do and suggested some things I had not considered. Chris and his crew did a very good job in preparation, providing the driveway, and best of all they took great pains to avoid damaging some brand new hardscaping (brickwork) that we had just done. The driveway looks beautiful, and I really appreciate all their work.

He said the repair would cost $1100. That was too expensive for me. He seemed like a really nice person. He came right out, and he was very professional. I would call Wegener again for an estimate, if I needed to.

Everything came out really well. My driveway came out beautifully, they did such a great job. I'm so happy I went with Wegener and would encourage anyone to hire them. Cleaned up well and did a great job. A's all the way around!

Wegener Asphault completed the job in two days. I am extremely pleased with the job that they did. The price was very good compared to the other estimates that I got - 5 others. The quality of the job was excellent. I would not hesitate to have them do another paving job for me. I recommend Wegener Asphault Paving as highly as possible. I plan to have them come back to seal the drive later this year.

They were terrific. They did everything right. It was very good.

They did the work in a single day and did a very professional job. In addition to the paving, Wegener mentioned that they could install the parking blocks and arrange for the spaced to be striped. This was added on to the original bid and the final price was still lower than the other bids that were paving only. Very flexible and easy to deal with, highly recommend them.

Chris is a great guy to deal with. Very professional and knowledgeable yet easy to talk to. He took a look at the driveway, provided an accurate estimate on the spot and was able to communicate, in detail, what needed to be done. He then gave me a follow-up call 2-3 days later to see if i had any questions. They completed the work in about 6 hours and Chris called part-way through the job in order to provide an update of progress.

.This was the first company to return my phone call. They came right out for an estimate and showed up on time to do the work. The first attempt did not turn out well due to a bad batch of asphalt, but Chris, who owns the company, was very responsive and tore out the entire area and redid it. It now looks beautiful and I am very happy with the final result. I am so impressed my the professionalism and pride in good work that this company displays that I highly recommend them.

Overall bid process and work was excellent and done with care and professionalism. I would have rated perfect in all areas except that the install left an area in the middle of the driveway (an area about 19' wide) where water collects in a pool of about 3/16" in depth. Overall pool is about 4 feet in diameter and according to the contractor there is no way of repairing this without patching. In addition, the driveway was installed slightly above street level so a large pool of water forms at the end of the driveway which will require the street to be repaved to correct. I believe that the overall excavation was not deep enough and that left the project without a perfect outcome. I'm sure this would have been difficult to plan for but not unsreasonable to be expected.

What i like about him is that he brings enough help and equipment, he was there the whole time the work was being done, and he worked also, he knew exactly what i wanted done, This guy and his company are great!!!!!!!!
