+ -1 moreContractor showed up same evening of call to access project and gave quote. Had 2 other quotes. Wegener was better qualified than one slightly lower bid and much lower than other qualified bidder. Showed up on time with full crew and proper equipment. Completely finished in 2 hours for what looked to me to be at least a 1/2 day project. Worked quickly but expertly. Very experienced team. Clean up was exceptional and included power brushing and air blower when finished. Made suggestions that resulted in completely solving my water drainage issues. Definitely exceeded my expectations.
Description of Work: Asphalt repair to contour and repair existing rear asphalt area of driveway to allow proper water drainage. Work included removal of a concrete walkway, moving 1 cu. yd of dirt into old walkway area, and removal of all debris.

+ -1 moreOn the evening of the day that the old asphalt was removed it started to rain and rained for a week. to enable us to use the garage he put down a layer of rock so that we at least were able to shelter our cars. Once the rain stopped we had to wait for the driveway to dry to sufficiently support the machinery, but one area where there was no rock, when they tried to clear it properly, they broke a sprinkler line. Wegener called our sprinkler company to fix it and paid for it himself. It took about ten days of sunshine to properly dry the soil so tha the rock foundation could be placed and another five days fo the whole thing to be dry enough to put down the asphalt. They did that in one day and we ended up with a smooth new driveway. In the area wher the bulder had been negligent Wegener had to put in five inches of asphalt, as opposed to the bid of 2 1/2 inches. That again was done with no increase in price. We are very happy with his work.
Description of Work: We had a large circular driveway with crumbling asphalt put in by the builder. Wegener had to tear it out, put in additional rock and pave it with asphalt. When he took it out we found out that there was a large area where the builder had neglected to put a rock base in place, hence the problems we had to correct. This required establishing a new rock base and removing a lot of clay soil. Since this was not part of the estimate we agreed to share Wegener's added $650 cost 50-50. Wegener's bid had been the lowest by about $3000, so we looked at other jobs he had done and found them satisfactory.
