WASTE MANAGEMENT OF ST LOUIS

For many years I have been a customer. Our local driver does a great job. I have now in my third week with no pickup due to construction on our street. Other carriers and large trucks have been able to successfully service customers our street. I have made 6 calls to the WM call center. I have found it is impossible to talk to the St Louis operations center directly about the situation.

The trash man came last week, emptied the Waste Management container, but left the rest (two 13 gallon trash bas) by the curb. My neighbor actualy chased down the Waste Management truck after they left the two 13 gallon trach bags sitting on the curb. Even though he caught the truck, the driver refused to take the bags ... saying no one told him about them. This is crazy. My contract with them states they will takeup to 5 additional bags if the container is full. Three condos down, there are two of their 97 gallon containers overflowing that have been sitting there for at least 3 weeks or more. There is even more trash there now which is blowing all over the yards and street. They will not empty or take their own containers. I have called them. They say someone will call about the situation. Never get a response back. I just went on line to ther web sight. I am willing to bet nothing will happen.

We have been a loyal longtime customer for many years, always paying our bills promptly. The issues we have experienced with the service agreements are horrible. Once you sign they can raise the fees at anytime, (their fee is $95 a month compared to a $55 a month competitor ) and the contract automaticity renews. We have been trying for 3+ years to get out of our contract (we even followed their procedure and sent the required certified letter to get out of the auto renewal) and yet it STILL RENEWED. The only option they will accept is a high priced buyout! We will be contacting the BBB, they DO NOT care about their customers whatsoever.

I have had Waste Management for a while, and I love the fact that they give a hefty discount for paying a year in advance and they also provide the huge can with wheels. They will also price-match any other local company to keep the business. Very friendly staff and collectors :)

On Tuesday, May 25, a Waste Management truck cut through my front yard to avoid a truck parked in the street. They did not ask the truck to move despite workmen being present. This resulted in a 15 foot long rut to a depth of over one foot. The workmen gave me the Waste Management truck number for reference. Repeated calls to get the rut repaired have not produced any action on their part to repair the rut a week later.

I have fired them and will be using another company starting 4/1/10. They have an extremely infuriating AVR system.

The drivers are very professional, always on time and make sure that nothing is left on the ground. The containers are always returned to their proper space.

They're always on schedule and the employees are very professional, neat, and clean. They do not throw the trash can in the middle of my flowers! The people in the office are knowledgeable and reliable. You can depend on their word.

Very reliable in their pickups. No matter how much snow they always came through. Liked their schedule and the office people were very nice. Billing is quarterly. Wish they would have a few more options as to yard waste though. We would still be using them but we moved and the new subdivision contracts through someone else.

THEY DON'T HAVE A LOT OF OPTIONS FOR YARD WASTE, BUT THE OVERALL SERVICE WITH THEM IS GOOD. THEIR PRICING IS REASONABLE. PRICE IS PER MONTH, ON THREE MONTH CYCLES.

OVERALL SERVICE HAS BEEN VERY GOOD. PICKUP IS ALWAYS ON THE CORRECT DAY (INCLUDING HOLIDAYS). THEIR GUIDELINES ABOUT WHAT CAN AND CANNOT BE PUT OUT ARE CLEAR.

TRASH CONTAINER IS PROVIDED. VERY SANITARY AND NEAT. ALWAYS EARLY AND PROMPT ON DAY OF PICKUP.

MEN TAKE TRASH ON TIME. NEVER MISSED A PICK UP. ESTABLISH A SCHEDULE FOR THE YEAR AND LET CUSTOMER KNOW AHEAD AS TO WHEN PICKUP FOR HOLIDAYS IS.

WHEN ASKED/SCHEDULED TO MAKE YARD WASTE PICK UP, COMPANY WAS LATE. THERE ARE RULES AS TO THE SIZE OF STICKS, DIAMETER OF LOGS (MUST BE BUNDLED).
