Top Notch Repairs & Renovations

The completed work was not done properly and looks awful. The hardwood floors are uneven in color, the stain is so dark in some places it looks painted on, and there is debris trapped in the stain throughout the house. The ceramic tile was not bound properly on the edges, the grout is already cracking in numerous places, and they did not finish the work underneath cabinets. I have had two companies come over and give me new estimates as well as their opinion of the work. It will cost me between $1100 and $1200 to fix the floors. Both companies said that Top Notch did not sand the floors properly (that they probably only buffed them) which caused the unevenness of stain, and that the debris was caused by them not putting the gaps (as they said they were going to) and not cleaning the floors after 'sanding'. Top Notch refused to come over and look at all the mistakes. Since I did not want the same people fixing the work, I asked Top Notch for a financial settlement and was told I needed to go through my credit card company. I still have not received any money back or the offer to pay for another company to fix the work.

I called Top Notch and I believe it was Amber or Amanda who came out said would have a estimate in week for bathroom & kitchen remodel and never called. I called a couple of times left messages no repsonse. Not sure what happen.

All handyman repairs that I use Top Notch for, generally go very smoothly. If they run into more complex issues during the repair, they contact me to let me know the issue, then proceed accordingly.

After emailing the company with the job needed, I was contacted within 24 hours to set a date/time for a discussion of floor types and/or options for refinishing. The company walked through the properties to obtain a bid & relayed that info to me. They gave me a couple of options and discussed each with me thoroughly, along with the bids. Once I scheduled the work, the job(s) were completes within 3-5 days, depending on the size/steps needed.
