I cannot thank the Tub Company enough for their work! We had rust around the overflow of our bathtub that leaked through and caused damage to our first floor ceiling. We were told by others that there was nothing that we could do except replace the tub and estimates were around $5000! Then, thankfully someone mentioned to look into getting the tub refinished instead. I called The Tub Company (Tubco, Inc) and the owner Lenny answered right away, was so pleasant to talk with and assured me that his crew could help us out. The next day, the serviceman Eli showed up, right on time, and was as pleasant as could be. After a few hours, the tub looks brand new, no sign of rust, and within a couple of days we will be able to use the tub again. I would not hesitate to recommend TheTub Company to anyone with a similar situation!

They could have completed the job completely. They took pieces of it apart but they did not put those back together. I had the son of the maintenance guy put them back together. I'm just complaining about the completion of the whole job but the quality, workmanship, and everything were fine.

Contractor came out when scheduled and provided estimate; we scheduled work for following week. Workers showed up on time. Work was done quickly and odors and mess were taken care of. Work took three-and-a-half days. We are very pleased with the quality, professionalism, and appearance of finished labor. We had other contractors give us estimates for similar work, only they were in the $6-15K range; we got a beautifully-done job for far less.

The service was performed above my expectation. The workers performed the job very professionally. They arrived on time and prepped the site thoughtfully to minimize dust and fume coming to other areas. This company stands behind its work. I called the owner after the service was done for a question, the owner sent his worker to inspect the work. The worker corrected the problem at the site.

Sean arrived at 8:00 a.m. ready to work. He gave us a short explanation of the process and explained that it would take most of the day and we would need to let the surface cure for 48 hours after he was finished. He worked at a steady pace, was careful to cover everything so that there was no mess and no mistakes. Our tub went from a real mess to a beautiful, easy to clean surface. We would definitely call The Tub Company again and recommend them highly. Do plan to be away from the house for a couple of days as the odor from the chemicals is overwhelming.

The provider arrived on time and went right to work, he worked neatly and efficiently and completed the job within the timeframe he quoted. The provider was friendly and professional and the tub looks like new. Once the job was completed, he reviewed the care instructions and warranty then left a written copy of them. We are Completely Satisfied.

WOW!!! I am astonished. My realtor told me the blue tub had to go. I got in touch with The Tub Co. told them my situation, they were out here in less than 24 hours making it happen. I needed it that quick, but never dreamed it would happen or turn out like it did. It literally looks like a brand new white tub. Our house is going to slow so well. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. You made the last piece so easy for me. Very professional and what a great job. In and out and no more dated blue. Wish I would have done it sooner. Especially for that price.

This company no longer gives free estimates as was advertised on Angie's list, but the contact allowed me to send him a picture of our bathtub and he was able to quote from that. He gave us a $50.00 discount for being an Angies list member.

Sent photos and got a quote for the work. It was evident in the photo there was a high surround on the two sides and wallpapered walls. I was assured it was no problem. Week 1: Workman 1 arrived on time (8:30 a.m.) and was quite pleasant. He assured me the wallpaper would not be a problem, there would be no paint on it, he would paint right to the edge of the sink and all would be protected. He began on sanding old finish off the sink. I checked in a couple of times that morning and saw that the surround had not been sanded except in a couple of small places. During the afternoon, another workman, showed up and did not introduce himself, was in and out a couple of times. Prior to painting, workman 1 showed me regular masking tape and that it might tear the wallpaper. I gave him my roll of blue painters tape and was surprised they didn't use a type that would not tear the wallpaper. The work was completed that afternoon and I was told not to use the sink for 48 hours. On the third day, I went in to inspect the result. It looked fine but there was a small line of paint on the wall paper across the front top of the surround. Then I ran my hand over the surface of the sink and it was rough, like it had been sprinkled with grit before or during the painting process. Not just on part of the sink but around the bowl, in the bowl, on the surround, everywhere. I have had a tub and two sinks refinished (not by this company) and the surfaces came out smooth and perfect. This job was not even close. I called owner to complain and was told a little bit of grit might have fallen on it while painting and was assured all would be repaired to my satisfaction. I also asked why was I not warned of a second workman coming and why didn't he introduce himself as he was in my home? I found that to not be professional behavior at all. Week 2: Workman 1 came back, sanded for a while and then said he was ready to leave. I asked about the repainting and he said he had to do more sanding than expected and any painting hadn't been scheduled. I asked when it could be done and we set a date and he left. No call from the owner. Week 3: Waited a week and workman 3 showed up. He was very cordial, set to work, sanded and painted. I looked it over and it looked good. I waited 48 hours and went to check on the sink. Better than first time on the flat surface around the bowl. Then I checked the bowl and it was rough. i checked the surround and it was rough. I checked on the bottom and side facings and it was rough. Basically, it was a crap job but I was stuck with it. I am very unhappy with the service provided by this company and I would not recommend them to anyone! No call from owner regarding quality of work but a message to pay the bill. You might wonder why I didn't use the same company that did the tub and two sinks and I would have but that company no longer exists. I went to Angie's List to get a reputable company to do the work and didn't find it there.

As advertised... Great job cleaned instead of refinish

I contacted the tub company because the tile was falling off the wall in my bathroom where the shower was located. I initially talked to Lenny who set up a time for one of his men to come out and look at the job. The Tub Company employee did come to my house and looked at the job, took some pictures, and discussed possible options with me. He was very nice and professional and arrived on time. He said that he would give the information to Lenny who would write up the estimate and contact me. A week went by and I did not hear from Lenny so I called and left a message. I called a second time four days later and left another message-still no return phone call. It is December 2nd and I have never received a call back from Lenny. If the Tub Company did not want to or was unable to do the job, I would have been perfectly fine with that and I would have contacted another company. To not respond after I took the time to stay home for the estimate is extremely unprofessional to say the least. If this behavior is an indication of the quality of their work I was probably lucky that they never contacted me. Needless to say, I won't be saying anything positive about them when asked.

Service man arrived on time as scheduled. Took time to describe what he was going to do, the approximate time it would take and what we could expect with the finished product. The young man doing the work was very professional, making certain to protect every surface in the bathroom that would be affected by the glazing process. Once finished, thorough instructions were given as to care and maintenance of the refinished tub. Clean-up was thorough. The expelling of fumes during the process was such that minimal fumes from the glazing was noticeable in the house. Very pleased with the process and the overall workmanship experienced. I am very pleased! The 1953 tub looks brand new! Very professional job and the man took his time and made sure the job was done right.

First let me say that I LOVE my new shower. The tile looks perfect, wonderful, beautiful, and they did an amazing job. The men that worked on our shower were punctual, friendly, professional and efficient. I would really have absolutely no complaints except- Apparently the employee that bid the project for us no longer works for the company. And he underbid our project by a lot, based on the huge reaction of Jason, who was the first guy to come out to start work on it. He told me that they were going to have to walk away from the project because they would lose so much money because the project was SO underbid. So the owner, Lenny, calls me and tells me the same thing, which was basically just totally unacceptable as I had signed a contract, paid my deposit, and arranged for the work to be done about a month in advance. He offered to give me my deposit back plus $25 for the inconvenience. $25. $25 to make up for the three other bids that I didn't take from other companies, $25 for the extreme aggravation it would have been to either get the shower rebid, or contact the people I had already rejected and made arrangements, $25 for more weeks of having our bathroom in limbo waiting for the shower to be redone. So no, I did not accept that offer, and they started the work as promised, finished the work and I couldn't be happier with how it looks, and charged me $250 more than what was originally bid. So for $250 they were willing to just walk away, break a contract, and leave a customer in flux? For $250? I don't get it. So unfortunately, even though their skill is amazing and their employees very professional, I don't think I could recommend them to anyone based on the blow they dealt me on the first day. Perhaps my experience was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, but I wouldn't want a friend to go threw the aggravation if they didn't have to. Because boy was it aggravating!

Very quick and easy to schedule and the work was performed promptly and well.

Jeff explained everything on our call to schedule so there would be no surprises. Provider showed up on time, and was expected to take6 hours. In four and a half hours, he was packed up, leaving behind no mess and a great looking bathtub. Both the provider and scheduler were happy to answer question and provide information on how best to care for the tub afterwards. These guys were great!

They were great. They came out when they said they were going to and did a very good job.

The service turned out fine. It was what the description described. I had to pay an extra $75 to have it sanded down, but that was the only thing I did not know. They came out within a week after I purchased the Big Deal. They did a good job. I asked them for a quote on another thing, and they never got back to me.

The entire experience was great! Jeff called the next morning, and we scheduled the first available date for both of us (that Wed!). Scott arrived promptly and was professional and answered every question I had completely. He did a fabulous job,too. The bathtub went from an unattractive, "mauve" to a nice, beautiful,"bisque" color. Scott also was very clean and meticulous! Overall, I was very happy with my experience.

Smooth as could be from call to completion. For $279 (Angie's List deal) they came in and reglazed our nasty old tub to a sparkling white new finish. It was fast, too. Our old tub had been flaking and chipping - it looks BRAND NEW. The one note of caution that I would say is the smell is AWFUL. Thankfully, we have an attic fan and a bathroom fan. It took about 2-3 days before going into the bathroom didn't knock you out. :) The installer cautioned not to use bathmats on the tub anymore, since they could suction up the coating I guess. There are options for non-slip aids though.

Great - very responsive and timely. There was an additional charge to the coupon, but the deal clearly stated this and it was still very reasonable. The work looks GREAT and the provider was very nice / timely / responsive.
