Description of Work: Preventive treatment to protect our ash tree from the emerald ash borer. Deep fertilization of all the 15-20 trees and shrubs in our yard. |They did a careful and thorough job. I plan to continue using this arborist in the future.

Description of Work: I needed a few trees removed and one trimmed. He made an appointment to come out to look at what needed to be done. About a week later, he was scheduled to do the work, however, due to soggy ground conditions we mutually agreed to delay the work. When he came to do the work, he didn't remember what we had discussed but he ended up doing more than what was asked.

Description of Work: Cut down overgrown trees trim others replace bushes. All done professionally. Courteous staff answered all questions.

Description of Work: Deep root fertilize. They did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it.

Description of Work: A storm had damaged a tulip poplar, and several large branches had fallen, crushing a fence. They removed the downed limbs, then climbed the tree to assess damage. The conclusion was that the tree had a large crack in a major limb (about 60 feet off the ground) and that it had been significantly destablized so that it had to be further trimmed away. They came back and did this, cutting off a very large limb. The operation left no visible trace on the ground (which was cleaner than before they arrived).

Description of Work: The job must have seemed too small for them. The girl on the phone would not even take my address. She said someone would contact me but no one did.

Description of Work: I can't say enough about Davey Tree. They do a great job no matter what they do. Their work for us includes: trimming shrubs, maintaining very, very old trees, spring and fall clean-up, maintaining flower beds, planting bulbs, maintaining the lawn. What is really nice is they do what you want not like most landscapers that do what they want. All the employees I have dealt with are super helpful. Many are degreed arborists.i

Description of Work: job not completely done yet, half tree fell on house, other half about to finish the job. davey gave estimate and had bucket truck take down all but stump next day in 95 degree heat. very professional and straight forward, not the cheapest, but probably the best, still waiting for stump grinding etc. will retain for tree services in future
