Terminix - Saint Louis -Termite & Pest Control

6 week in still have bugs. Been lied to from the get go. The tech that came out didnt know if their bait would harm aminals or not. I called request my money back because they have a 100% guarantee or your money back. Dont believe it. If you plan to use them i wish you the best of luck.

Terminix called to say they would be by the next day to treat the outside of the house (at the end of January with below freezing temperatures). We told them there must be a mistake, that we didn't ask them to come and DO NOT come. The next day we received a notice of the work they supposedly did on the outside of our house and how much we owed. We called and were place on hold for over 45 minutes before giving up. The next day, we were told that since we had used them in the summer to spray the inside of our house, they had a "verbal contract" with us and that they had the right to service us and charge us. We asked to speak to a manager and they said they would call us back within 24 hours. After not hearing from them for more than 24 hours, we called back and were told that they would be getting back to us soon. Two weeks later we received a bill in the mail for $109, still not having spoken with anyone. After spending an hour on the phone and being told that a manager would get back to us, we demanded to speak with someone who could correct this right then. They finally connected us with someone who once again said they had the right to service us and charge for it, regardless if it was useless and we told them not to. They refused to cancel the bill said we could go to small claims court if we wanted.

I dealt with three (3) scheduled appointments and 3 no-shows by Terminix. On the 3rd appt date I finally received a call from Dwayne in the Florissant Office. He was courteous and professional, but explained that the technician slated to perform the service (Eric – Maryland Heights ofc) told him my address was “on his schedule for 12 pm to 2 pm” which could not be correct, since Dwayne had the correct time 8 am to 10 am on his schedule. It appears Eric arbitrarily changed the time of my appointment to a time that better suited him without advising me. Dwayne informed me that Eric would be calling me to confirm whether he could be at my address before 10 am. But I received no call. They are beyond unprofessional. I am using another company for my service.

Instead of calling me and telling me when they will be here to do an inspection, they could call and see when will be a good time. They say give me a call if that doesn't work for you. I say call me first and ask me.

It was about $230 a treatment; it was much more expensive. For the quoting it was an A, it was just the pricing was not good, they weren't competitive. They gave us a perfectly fine quote. They were very responsive, very professional. They were fine it's just that the pricing was off. Their professionalism was fine. If they were cost competitive, I would use them.

I'd give them an A on price because it was a big difference between Terminix and another company that gave an estimate. Terminix had a good price and even a cheaper price if you paid cash, paid up front, and they had discounts also, so my mother was able to get a good deal. They came back out last week to see if all the termites were gone before we started replacing the floor. They definitely came out when they said they were gonna come out, and they came back out for the re-inspection.

We have been using them since we moved here in 1999. We have been under contract with them for years. They do an excellent job. Our house backs to a deep woods with a lot of critters, bugs, deer, foxes, coyotes, and everything else. We have never had any problems with termites. We had an occasional problem with ants which they took care of. They always call me when they are on the way so that I can get my dogs kenneled, which is really important because I don't want my dogs around the pesticide. They would get straight "A" across the board. They are great. They do offer a mosquito control this year because the CDC said that St. Louis is a hot bed for the Zinka virus. I use my own mosquito control, but it is important that they offer that service.

Although the report stated no past or current termite infestations or damage present, after digging around in an old tree stump base away from our house he added to the report that there was evidence of termites in the yard, which red flagged our report. After going back and forth with the lender, my husband gave in and had a full perimeter system installed around the house. After the fact, someone from their office sent out a verification to the lender that there was no evidence of termites at our home or garage.

I tried with them but they were so high. They price they had was so high, so I cancelled everything so I went to Angie's List to try to find someone else. The price was $125 per month for a year. I did not sign the contract because I was looking for more bids.

They initially came out about a month ago, then came back two weeks after that because I was still seeing bees, spiders and some other bugs. I have been trying to get a hold of them since then because I am still seeing these things when I shouldn't be.

They are alright. They are no better than anybody else. They charged like $250 to renew the insurance with them and they would keep our coverage intact and they may only come out once a year and inspect anything, and that's at the end of the year. I think it's a little bit overpriced for the service we get. They will come out if we call. When they come out, they are pretty good. We pay $300 for renewal of our policy with them every year and it keeps our policy valid if there are issues and they are supposed to come and take care of it. What we're paying is renewal of a contract. It's almost like an insurance policy. The only thing that bothers me is several years ago, we had what they call bait stations that were around the perimeter of the house. This was to bait termites and they were to take this poison back to their colony and it's supposed to wipe out the colony. 3-5 years ago, they changed their treatment policy where they spray the perimeter of the foundation instead of using the bait stations because what those bait stations did was it forced them to come out routinely and inspect them to see if they were getting hits or if they needed to be changed, or add more stations. Since they went to the foundation spray, we don't see them anymore. I'm sure it's a cost factor. They don't need as many people. The only thing I can say positive is that they do stand behind their treatment if we have an issue. I'm not sure about other termite or pest control companies if they do that or not. We're paying for insurance on a yearly basis. Applications are pretty expensive but we don't really have any choice. If we have termites in the house, we have to pay whatever the market value is. They are as good as anybody but they are not the best as far as I'm concerned with customer relations, but they will respond. I had Orkin many years ago and for some reason, their treatments were not effective. Initially when they went out of business, they filed for bankruptcy or they got bought out and so that was when I switched to Terminix because I was having issues with termites so I had to get somebody else. It was $1200-1500 to start the initial treatment and then after that, we wouldn't pay anything unless we have a real service call. As far as I know, we haven't had any more issues so maybe it's working okay. We don't see any so I guess that means something's working. I don't have anything to compare them to. I think they are expensive but I think it's worth it. One thing that they do is they usually would contract out somebody to come out and repair our damage, but now they kind of go to the point where they say if we fix it ourselves, they'll pay for the time and materials. We only had one occasion when that happened. They did pay for the material and the time that it took me to do the work. Probably it's not the way they do it. We've had this company for 10 years and they have always taken care of what was wrong or at least they came out and looked at it, but without changing companies, I couldn't really say how good they really are for the people. I got the district manager down to my house several times on calls. It was like when I call them up, I just call him direct. I don't mess with going through the referral service. It has worked out pretty good. They say they will be out and they give me a window, and usually they are here within that window. It may be 5 o'clock in the evening, but they show up. They seem to be very knowledgeable about their skills and they can answer most of my questions. They are all pretty well trained. I'll keep them.

It went very well. They always come in December. We had termite damage years ago and we pay a yearly fee for insurance. They come and make sure there are no termites that's working about that we need to know about. They did the work and we have the insurance with them. I think it's high. They just call when they're coming.

My experience with them has been fine. I basically have an annual termite contract with them for thirty years. It is just kind of a continuing thing. They messed up the schedule of the appointment. Besides messing up the schedule itself, they did not show up the first time. Over the thirty years, I have not had any problem with them and I have not had any termite.

It was just fine. I do it every year as an update for termites. I’ve had that contract for many years. The cost depends on what you’re having done. They come out once a year and check. The annual fee is about $300 and that’s to keep the contract current. They checked to see if I have any termites. They charge me every year to continue the contract. The original contract 10 years ago was like $1500. That was to do the treatment for the termites to drill all the holes and put the chemicals that kill the termites. It’s supposed to be good for 20 years. I haven’t had any termites so I figured they’re doing alright. It works for me. Initially, it was expensive. It’s not too terribly bad now. However, it’s still expensive for them to come out every year and look around to see if you got termites.

We did not have any problems at all. They were good when they came in the last time.

They have really great customer service.

I only liked the fact that they came out the same day that I needed them. They did a thorough inspection, but they charge a fortune. The quality of work was very good. Their price was outrageous. Now that I have paid the money, they guarantee, that if there are any termites, it will be at their expense.

The estimator arrived on time. He took the time to get to know the job prior to making his recommendation. He carefully outlined the steps that would be involved in adding insulation. On the day in which the job was executed, the men arrived on time. They carefully covered the floor and furniture and even covered my lawn outside. The team really knew what to do and worked very efficiently. They then showed me what they had done and then left the work site spotless. As I sit in my home writing this review, tjhe outside temperature is a NEGATIVE six degrees and the wind chill is a NEGATIVE 24. Yes, I would recomend this company to anyone.

I have used this company before, but due to the down economy had to suspend service. I was pleased to see that my former pest controller was still working with the company. He not only provided me with exceptional service on this date but has done so for a number of years. He even treated my parent's house as well. Outstanding servie from this provider and would definetly recommend them to anyone.

Of all the vendors we consulted, these folks seemed to have the experience, know-how, and guanantee service. Knowledgeable and friendly. Prompt. Thorough. All the prices for this type of gantanteed service seemed expensive to me. Terminex was NOT out of line. I would recommend to others.

They were very good to work with and I would use them again.

He actually came early so that was good. He was very nice and not overly pushy. I was glad to see they were on Angie's List and also rated on the BBB.

I did not purchase the insulation.

I contacted Terminix after our last pest control company had issues. I got all my questions answered, including pricing. I called back a few months later to set up the appointment. Everyone was so helpful, nice and they worked around our schedules. The gentleman showed up on time and explained everything he would be doing. He could only spray inside that day, since it was pouring rain. He did call a few days later and let us know he would be back to spray outside. We have been pest free and I have no complaints. They are cheaper than the other 6 or 7 places I contacted.
