Scott came to do the bid and he was pleasant, knowledgeable, and straightforward. I never felt like he was trying to up-sell me, nor did I think he was trying to undercut competitors just to get work. The bid was a little higher than I had budgeted for, but still realistic. He was even able to figure out the best solution for our ceiling lighting which was a challenge since we didn't have enough space for full recessed lights. Once I had called the office to make my down payment, they called to schedule the start of the work before I expected them to, which was a welcomed surprise. Colin did most of the work in our home. He was pleasant, professional, clean, and was able to complete the rough-in without any issues. Rough-in passed inspection on the first try, and I scheduled the final for after drywall had been installed. Colin returned for the finish and had everything completed in one day. The next day, we passed final inspection with no issues. We are very happy with the work, and everything works as described. I had used other companies with less desirable results. I will continue to use Streib for all of my future electrical needs.

Matt and Jeremy arrived on time and got to work promptly. They were very open to explaining what was being done and responded to all my questions. Overall experience with Streib was very positive from start to finish. The phone estimate for the work was right on the final cost and the field team was excellent.

I used Streib for nearly 15 years. The arm of Streib that installed my Savant system was a huge money dump in the beginning as I was promised services that could not be delivered. This resulted in approximately $90 K of unanticipated expenses. The Savant system is operating well now however and I retain Streib for maintenance. The arm of Streib that serviced the electrical aspect of my home is a different story. As long as Streib worked hand in hand with my contractor, everything was done extremely well and efficiently. In the last 3 or so years, however, when I independently hired Streib to do work such as repair indoor lighting issues and most recently replace my extensive landscape lighting (which they installed years ago), working with them was a complete nightmare. The employees only showed up after I called the company multiple times. After their initial assessment was made, I had to wait up to 5 months for the job to be completed, and this was only after I called repeatedly. Rich Wood in my estimation seems the only upper level person at Streib who is in the least bit competent, and he seems completely overwhelmed. The management is otherwise beyound incompetent. The workers on the ground are terrific. It was really hard for me to fire Streib. I have very complicated indoor and outdoor lighting in my home that new electricians will find quite challenging. But I simply can not deal with such a miserably run company, it is too stressful for me. And Streib's level of incompetence and rudeness is intolerable.

Streib was extremely professional, courteous, patient, and friendly throughout the entire process. They did a great job with the installation - the city inspector was impressed by their work. Additionally, everyone I interacted with was just so nice. It made for a very pleasant and stress-free experience.

The work took 2 days to complete as expected. I was very happy with their work and professionalism.

Work was done promptly and professionally. I was happy with the electrician who did the work as he explained what he was doing and was very patient with answering my questions. He was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job. The person who came to my property to give us a bid was on time and courteous. Streib was more expensive than the other bids, but I don't like to be cheap when it comes to electric. And, they went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the work so I felt like I got what I paid for. Since I had such a good experience with Streib, I referred them to my kids' school for some outdoor electric work they needed to have done. Again, the work was done to everyone's satisfaction. I will definitely use Streib again if I need electric work done.

One item needed follow-up. Taken care of promptly.

This is the first time I have used Streib Company. I called on the morning of September 21. I explained I was going out of town in a few days. Their customer service was phenomenal. By mid-morning Matt Kemper from Streib arrived and did the job. He was professional, very personable and focused on the job and completed it without any problems. I couldn't have been more impressed with their service. I will definitely call them again for my next job. Thanks Streib and thank you Matt Kemper.

I called Streib, talked with the service dispatcher, Within an hour he found an electrician who lives in my area. This was at 1PM, at 330PM the electrician was here. He solved the problem. He showed me what I had done wrong. The circuit breaker that I thought had been reset, wasn't. The price was exactly as told by the dispatcher. I will use them again.

Very prompt, came a few hours after my call for service. Super professional, happy with their work.

I contacted via Angie's List late on a Sunday night. They called me at work early Monday morning and we set up an appointment for the same afternoon. The scheduler (Todd) was very friendly and polite on the phone, and he told me that the work would take two hours. He told me what the hourly rates were ($125 for the first hour, $85 for every additional hour) so I would know what to expect. The electrician called in advance and he was waiting in front of my house at the time we arranged. He finished his work in two hours just like Todd had said. Everything went very smoothly and it was a pleasure working with Streib. Now I have electricity in all my outlets, my lights are on, and I am a happy customer.

We had an after hrs emergency where a fuse tripped that caused appliances in the kitchen and our furnace to go out. I called Streib's after-hours number after finding them on Angie's List and because they were less than 5 miles from my house. I got Tony K on the phone and he was extremely helpful and ended up trouble shooting with me via phone so that we were able to narrow down that it was a bad cooktop, disconnected the power to it on the sub-panel, but restore the power to the furnace. Thus, we were able to avoid paying for an after hours service visit ($300) and instead have a service call the next morning. When Tony K came out to our home the next morning he was extremely professional and patient with explaining what he was checking. I'd definitely call Streib again and specifically ask for him if an electrical issue arose in the future!

We had an electrical emergency on a Saturday night with a circuit constantly tripping. The added emergency was that we were scheduled to leave town very early Monday morning. We did not know what was wrong or how dangerous the situation was. We wanted outside lighting to help ward off intruders, plus, more importantly, our animals were going to be looked in on by an animal sitter while we were away. We were worried about a fire. We did not want to leave our animals in a dangerous situation. We called this company because they state on Angie's List that they do emergency service. We were desperate. We called and left a message. We told them the seriousness due to leaving town and our fears and to please call back ASAP as we didn't know if we needed to cancel the trip or what. We heard absolutely nothing back from them. They never returned our call. Don't understand what they consider 'emergency service'. I can understand that maybe they did not want the job but they sure could have returned the call. We did not know what to do and they just added to our stress level. Don't say you do 'Emergency Service - Yes' when you, in fact, do not provide that.

Streib has been extremely responsive and professional, doing excellent work throughout. In one case where they had installed a spare conduit alongside the buried power line, we were told by the cable company that there was no way they could get their cable through the conduit. Streib came out and put in a cable in at no charge. Note that Streib responded immediately, whereas the cable company had taken weeks to get round to something that they subsequently decided couldn't be done. Streib is not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

The person who came never sent me anything. I waited about two weeks called the company and they said that one of the persons who worked in low voltage would get back with me. Never did. I called twice more and no response.

The electrician did a good job of fixing the various issues (3 very minor issues) but the cost involved in getting these fixed went way beyond what I was expecting due to some issues with the electrician and the supplies they have available. The main issue was with the attic fan switch. This switch was a very normal variable speed knob which controls the speed of the fan. The electrician did not have that on his truck, so I asked him to go to Lowes which is a mile away to get this to replace. He was gone for over an hour and came back with nothing. Said neither Lowes or Home Depot had this part, he would have to order it. This of course added over an hour of time for the cost. At that point I just asked him to order the part. (I can not believe they did not have the part needed as it is a normal dimmable type switch). A month goes by with no response from the electrician, so I call. They say they have the part in (which they probably had for a week or two) and the electrician came back and installed, expecting to only pay $10 for the cost of the new switch. Turns out, the switch he ordered cost me $60 and he charged even more labor charges for 10 minutes work. Since I had another 20 minutes I asked him about fixing a light bulb that broke off in the socket hoping he could take care of it within the 20 minutes more I paid labor for. He then told me how I could remove it and left. Bottom line, it took about a month to finally finish the job for 3 minor things and it costs over $300!

We went through a kitchen design company to have led under cabinet lighting, led recessed lighting, electrical outlets, new light fixture in pantry and numerous switches installed. they subcontracted through Streib Electric. Their customer service was excellent. It took them a few hours to do it all and when they were done they cleaned up. They worked so hard running wires through the walls for everything and down to the basement electrical box. At the end, it looked like everything was put in when the house was first built. Very professional looking. The two men that came out to do the job were very nice. After 6 months a series of under cabinet lights started to go out. They came out with in a week to replace them at no charge, since they were all under warranty. This worker was also very nice. A couple weeks later more under cabinet lights started to go out. When we called back, they said they had never had this happen before with these lights but would fix them again. The light seemed to flicker without touching the dimmer switch, also flash completely off and then on all on their own and they would get really hot. Too hot to touch. Not what I was told by the design company to expect from the led light bars. They came out again and replaced all the Led bar lights, including the ones they replaced a couple weeks before and they also changed out the dimmer switch. All of it covered under warranty and didn't cost us a thing. We have had no problems with the flickering or over heating as of yet. I believe it was a faulty dimmer switch that caused all these issues. Nobody's fault. I know those light bars cost over 50 bucks a piece to buy online so I know they took a hit replacing everything. We are not those kind of people who expect everything to go perfectly and get ticked off and point fingers when it doesn't. Things happen beyond our control sometimes. The fact that this company has shown us excellent customer service, even when there were problems, and stands behind their product to make the issue right speaks volumes to us! Because of that we will continue to choose Streib Electric for our home and recommend them to our friends.
