We moved to St Louis last May. Prior to moving we found the home we wanted to purchase. We originally went with a national mortgage company. On the day the loan commitment was due per the contract on the home that company informed us they would not be able to fund our loan. We were referred to Stifel Bank by our realtor. They went above an beyond. They gave us a loan commitment that day, and we were able to close very quickly and keep to the original closing date. They always responded to our emails and phone calls. Went over all the options available to us and helped us choose what would be best for us.

Kerby does a great job explaining what all of the options for financing are regardless of if the buyer is a first time buyer unfamiliar with mortgage issues, or a sophisticated buyer that understands detailed financing analysis. Kerby not only offers great rates and low fees, but he is careful to help my buyers understand what they really can afford vs encouraging them to take out the highest loan that they will qualify for. On several occasions, I called Kerby with a question because a buyer had found a deal that sounded too good to be true. Kerby was happy to answer my or my buyers' questions, even when his advice was to stick with the other lender since it was a deal he couldn't match. None of my clients have ever complained about Kerby's professionalism or services, and he has never missed a deadline related to a contract. Best yet, he shows up at closings with a check to cover the loan so buyers can get immediate access to their new house rather than waiting for wires to clear. When I was ready to refinance my mortgage on my prior home and buy my current home, I had a lot of lenders to choose from that all said they would discount my fees since I'm a realtor. Kerby still beat them all and did a great job through the entire loan process.
