Stay tuned! news channel 4 will be investigating and I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. They claim on their website that they are accredited and are not. Even better, they gave themselves and A and I have heard nothing but bad reviews of this company, not to mention the investigation done on them by another homeowners association member. Liars cheaters and frauds.
Description of Work: This is an HOA management company, some things rated NA are because they won't respond to score the quality of any work. I have been fighting with the company to just do thier job for years. This conflict is regarding a significant mold crisis amoung many condos in our Homefid Gardens community. They refuse to return calls and claim to have lost work orders I have submitted. Always , they wouldn't return my phone if my Call about an upstairs DECK FALLING OFF. BUT this has to be the worst exchange yet. I had to call private in order to get someone to pick up the phone. It was Christine... I called that same day and she was supposedly out of the office . So they tell me, oh well we have three Christine's. No they don't ! The PERSON WHO IS ALWAYS ON N A MEETING ON A CALL OR NOT THERE answered her own phone and then claimed not to even be her. I knew she refuses to return messages. The audacity she has to be completely dishonest and un professional just amazes me! IIM FED UP. News 4 STL will be taking it into their hands now. It feels good to be advocated for finally. I was informed that This Company has been segmented on Ch 4 Investigation before, by another HOA member in a different community. The The people are ruthless, uncaring and treat us like garbage. They are breaking laws and withholding information about treasury funds and board members as well. The board members are "clicky" and I have suspicions of money being used or withheld instead of being used to remedy things like MOLD REMOVAL IN EVERY CONDO. The handy man has even said something he trusted me not to repeat, but it's time to stop being peaceful. they have to be help accountable and that starts with other an audit and firing some folks. They need to fire Pam(mgr) who would not let me get a word in about anything, spoke to me like a dog and then tried to HANG UP just because I needed to ask questions. Because I was recording the conversation I did not raise my voice or speak to her with any disrespect to prove that they just are not good people.

The management does not care about their tenants. Our condo is infested with spiders and they cannot seem to think that that’s a problem. They don’t keep up our bushes in our property. We pay fees every month and we pay annual fees every year for the pool, grass, and for snow removal. The snow plow hit our curves and not the carved pieces off, they don’t fix it. Bushes are dying, they don’t fix them. We have a nice lake in the back; they don’t clean it up and constantly dumping trash in it. They didn’t put the gutters right and it eroded so much dirt that the foundation is cracking and they denied to work on it. They don’t use the money we pay monthly and yearly to do anything. They cut our lawns better now and that’s about it.
Description of Work: We use Smith Management Group for management of our condo.

COMPANY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU, YOUR PROPERTY OR THE SAFETY OF OUR LOVED ONES PETS AND COMMUNITY. THEY ARE IGNORING A FIRE HAZARD AND POSSIBLE GAS LEAK IN A FOUR UNIT BUILDING. THE WORK ORDER PUT INFOR REPAIR A MONTH AGO. IM IN TEARS
Description of Work: TERRIBLE "MANAGEMENT" and RUDE staff. Absolutely have no concern for the home owners. We pay $200 a month for certain "services" and the majority of that is a sprinkler system that has been verified by a certified plumber as "not active" never was The grass has gotten up to two feet tall before I have to call and make more threats before I can live in a nice area. Everything has been a disaster this year. I can't even count how many services or work orders I have put in that have never even been addressed. So today was the straw that broke the camels back. I have a birds nest (over a month ago I reported it) that is now hanging out of my air vent and causing destruction to my brand new dryer. I can smell the debris burning and NOW my CO2 detector is picking something up and they are telling me I should have called Friday, today is Saturday and I called an EMERGENCY LINE. Well this IS A SERIOUS MATTER! I am so angry and nervous

I live in a loft downtown at the Meridian Building. I have contacted Smith Managent on a few occassions to fix some issues. Here are the results: 1.) Washer floods and floods unit below me. Quick response to cleanup and checked neighbor's unit for me. Found out drain below washer is malfunctioning. 2.)Drain Pan under washer/dryer leaking on to neighbor's ceiling: -Made an appointment in March, No Call, No Show. -Made an appointment in April. Repairman was extremely friendly and polite. Didn't fix it correctly, more water in neighbor's unit. -Called to have fixed correctly in June. Repairman shows up approximately 6 hours late. Doesn't have time to fix, just trys to re-route air conditioner hose (which uses this drain) unsuccessfully. To date: (6/22) still not fixed. Unable to install washer until fixed. No laundry in my unit. Using coolers and buckets to catch condensation from A/C. Still waiting on callback since I have paid to have it fixed already. Also have left messages and finally got ahold of someone via e-mail. A representative let me know they are going through a transitional period. One of the maintenance coordinators and one of the repairmen I have dealt with previously are no longer with the company (!). Maybe they can turn things around...not impressed with my experiences. July 12th. Still not fixed. Getting ready to have to eat the costs of hiring another contractor. No washer/dryer and still running A/C into a cooler. Deanna Reed called me to follow up on my reviews and experience to see if they could make it right. Luckily, they have fixed the drain pipe (which has now gone out in other units) and they did NOT send me a bill. This did quite a bit to restore a lot of lost credibility in my experience. The transistion certainly seems to be paying off finally! Update 3/22 - Decided to give them another chance and e-mailed them through their site. No response. Time to move on.
Description of Work: Emergency water cleanup and drain pipe repair.
