Simple Moves

They performed the service within the week that I called and completed the work within 1 hours. So, I only had to pay the $60 fee for one hour or less. I was unaware of the fee of two men for $79 an hour. The work was done promptly and carefully.

Very well. Used several times. The teams were very prompt, friendly, and courteous. Very careful with my items and no accidents or damage.

The movers were early (their previous appointment was not ready on time, and they called to see if I was ready...it was very convenient and worked out well for my schedule), they were very courteous, and went to work quickly. They were finished in less than the estimated time, and even took care of a few extra pieces for me at the last minute. I would definitely recommend this company to others.

Two men arrived on time, ready to go move my machines. When I showed them what had to be moved, and where it was going they got right to work. They were amazing! They lifted the machines, decided which door to use to get it out of the living room and then how to get it into the basement room. They had to turn the machine this way and that, but managed to get all of the machines into the new exercise room with no problem at all. No damages to the machines, the walls or the stairways. Nothing but strong, polite employees. It was a pleasure to watch them at work.

They showed up, asked a few questions, and were done in a little less than an hour. They were polite and very careful with our furniture and our home.

It took them 2 hours; (they moved 5 full rooms, plus basement furniture and patio furniture). We made 2 trips, and they even stopped at my dad's to pick up a chair along the way. They did a beautiful job; wrapping all furniture in a commercial strength Saran Wrap (for lack of better description). I am happily recommending them to friends and family and will use them again in the future. They were efficient, reasonably priced, friendly, fast and clean.

We were very pleased with Simple Moves! The three movers worked very hard throughout the day. They took care of all the furniture by wrapping it cellophane. Nothing was damaged in the move. We would definitely hire them again.

The move went VERY smooth. The two men were very punctual, even with this area first big snowfall taking place that day. They were very polite and quickly had the apt. empty, loaded and ready to go--it would of not even taken them the 4 hours if traffic was not so bad getting to the new destination. Once we were at the new destination, no worries they had everything unloaded and placed in no time.

I had arranged for a mattress and box spring to be delivered. Due to a misunderstanding with the mattress company, the driver who arrived with the mattress was not prepared to bring the mattress into our home, which is the 2nd story of a 2-family. He could only deliver the mattress to the front yard. I needed a mover fast so the mattress would not be left outside. I called Simple Movers and they said they could be at my home within hours. Two movers arrived at the promised time. They were courteous and professional. They moved the mattress into the room and removed the cardboard box containers.

Fast, careful movers. If I had any quibble it would be that they were ready before I expected them,but they called to alert me. I will absolutely call them again!

The doors had to be removed from the fridge and adjustments made to get this thing out of my skinny house door. The entry door also had to be removed from the destination to get this fridge inside and in it's place. The guys were kind and polite! They were very aware and respectful of the surroundings and went the extra mile to make this a smooth and pleasant moving experience for us.

They did a very professional job. They took great care not to damage the new couch or the old one. They arrived at the house at the exact time they said they would. They got busy and got the job done quickly. I thought their prices were very fair. If I ever need those kind of services again, I would definitely call on them.

I called Simple Moves on Tuesday morning and left a message about moving two pieces of furniture. They called back promptly, and scheduled the work to be performed the following day. They gave me a window between 1-4 pm for arrival and arrived promptly at 1 pm with 3 movers. The bookcase was moved without difficulty. The entertainment center was extremely large (7'X 4'X 2') and several hundred pounds. After some discussion they said they were willing to try and move the large piece if I signed a waiver for damages. This seemed reasonable given the size of the object. They then moved the object upstairs. No damage was done to furniture or walls. Great job. Reasonable price.

They were on time, actually early. The job was accomplished in a very reasonable amount of time considering the back and forth that was required (they did forget a microwave but it wasn't such a big deal as I was more worried about when they could do the job). They were also available quickly, which I really needed. What I didn't appreciate is being told by the movers that they did accept tips and that they hoped I would be generous.

Overall my belongings were safely moved. However, the movers were an hour late arriving. I called the office and left a message which was promptly returned. They arrived within the time I was told over the phone. I realized after they arrived that the truck my not be big enough. The movers told me that was a problem in an earlier move that same morning. They had to make two trips to move that individual. The same happened to me. It took two trips o move my stuff. In addition I moved some of my items in my own car. I probably made 4 to 5 trips while the movers continued to pack the truck. It took six hours to complete the move. Thankfully the basic fee per hour was not too exorbitant. Additionally I noticed the movers had dollys available to them but did not use them to move the large number of boxes I had. They carried the boxes 1 or two at a time. I lived on the second floor of an apartment building so this seem to prolong the move. Simple moves is really for simple moves.

Move went very smoothly. The guys got started right away and were very efficient. These guys were great.

The two movers did a great job, on time, within time estimate, no damage, and very carefully. Also traveled to another home and moved a few pieces from second floor to basement. Would highly recommend. They also gave me a 10% for being an Angie's List member.

When I originally contacted Simple Moves, they asked for a list of items to determine truck size and approximate time. I was originally quoted 3 to 4 hours of work time and $270 to $340. Even with 20 minutes worth of imposed stoppages due to heavy downpours, the whole job took just about 2 and a half hours. I was also originally told that the movers would arrive between 1 PM and 4 PM, and when I arrived home at 12:45 PM, they were waiting in front of the house, ready to go. They did a wonderful job of wrapping and protecting each piece of furniture, including an antique hutch with glass doors. The movers were friendly and responsive to all of my questions and concerns.

Overall, they were much quicker than expected. They were not very strategic about loading the truck and just started carrying the smaller stuff out and soon it was clear they needed to reorganize the items on the truck to make room for the couch, chair, dressers and beds (which takes time). They were talking about doing more than one trip but we told them it all had to fit on this truck because we were only making one trip. They made it all fit somehow and then arrived and unloaded. They dawdled a bit, but we kind of pushed them along. After they left, we noticed that one lamp had a hole in the plastic shade (it's a cheap lamp so not a huge issue) and one of our TVs now makes a buzzing noise. Not sure if they dropped it, if it was banged around, or if it's a coincidence. Overall, they are fine, and cheap, but not as strategic about packing the truck as they should be for both space and to protect the contents, and they seemed to move kind of slow at times to maybe pad the time?

I was able to book this moving company on short notice. When I first called I left a message with an answering service and the message was promptly answered. I called Friday about noon for a Wednesday move. I was told they would arrive between 10:00 and 12:00 and they arrived at 10:00. Of all the furniture moved, I only had one really important mirrored piece. That was wrapped in a blanket and taped up. The whole process took two hours which is what I had estimated. The movers said that they also take things to charities and can do small moves where they just charge by the piece.

They were for about an hour and a half. They were very courteous and very careful with our furniture.

I contacted Jesse by email after finding the company on this website. He called on the next business day at which time he gave me the pricing scale. I made my decision one week later and contacted Jesse to schedule. Shawn and Jimmy arrived on time and were very courteous. They worked quickly without doing any damage. The work was finished in less than one hour.

We are thoroughly impressed with the guys from Simple Moves. They showed up on time, were very courteous and cautious. It was raining the day they did the work but they made sure to lay down tarps to prevent any messes on the floor. The move went very smoothly and everything was put into place without any problems. I would recommend Simple Moves to anyone!

I called them and told them I had a HEAVY game table 14 foot long to move. They sent three guys but probably needed at the very least four if not more. It was HEAVY to move. I had to help because they were undermanned. It received some damage in the move. The movers were polite and worked hard but they were just not prepared for this kind of HEAVY. I do not blame the movers themselves. They tried very hard but didn't have enough man power. I will have to say this though. This was an exceptionally HEAVY item and not what they probably run into a lot. I'm sure they do great with other LIGHTER kinds of moves.

They were great! They fit everything into the truck, although I could have added more if there was room. I only had them move furniture. They were quick and professional. They even gave me some tips along the way. I was very pleased and would recommend them. Price was perfect as well.
