Simple Moves

Reservations made in advance were taken by a polite phone operator who also called back with a courtesy reminder the day before the move. We were the first move of the day for our team and the largest. Our team arrived on time and ready to go. They took great care with all our belongings even while working swiftly, efficiently and with good humor. They drove safely and carefully. They completed the work in under the time estimated even though our job required two trips between the house and apartment.

Everything was great, they showed up on time and finished early. Would definately recommend them.

The move was booked in the morning and the owner was able to fit me in that day!! The movers showed up exactly on time and Thayon Brown and David Jackson were very professional. The owners of the home they were moving it from liked the way they handled it and I think they will use them for their move this week! When they arrived at my home with the desk, it would not go through the doorway to the lower level because it was a little wider than the doorway. The 2 men worked with it diligently until they were able to get it through at an angle. They were very careful not to damage any part of the desk or the doorway. I highly recommend this company for it's professionalism, efficiency, and fairness of price. I have also called the other people I bought the desk from to recommend them!

Employees that did the move came a few minutes early and were very fast about doing their work. They also took good care with everything they moved.

The movers arrived on time. (I did have to call the day before to get the estimate for the move that I submitted over the Internet, but they did answer the phone and give me the estimate. Then, they set up the date and time for the move.) They energetically, professionally, and consistently worked to load everything on the truck and to unload the items into the storage faciltiy. They even beat me to the storage facility. Overall, I was very pleased and would not hesitate to hire them again.

They gave me an estimate and they stuck to it. Overall, I had a good experience with them. I?ll definitely consider using them again in the future.

They called to give me an arrival time, were on time and finished very quickly. They had to remove a door, and they replaced this and cleaned up all packing materials.

I called Simple Moves several weeks ago along with one another small mover from Angie's List. Simple Moves provided pricing and service details. Their pricing was significantly better than the one competitor I contacted. I called on Thursday 10/15/09 to schedule an appointment. We scheduled Saturday 10/17/09. I was impressed with the responsiveness on short notice. I had an appointment window of 1PM to 4PM. DeJaun W. and Mike C. called me at about 11AM to inform me that they had finished a previous job early and asked if they could come do my job early. They gave me an ETA of 15 minutes. I agreed. They completed my job over an hour earlier than arranged. This worked out very well for me, freeing up my afternoon. DeJuan and Mike were courteous and professional. They were both clean in appearance. They worked quickly but cautiosly. They took the time to do the job right but didn't waste time.They were a pleasure to deal with. Simple Moves provides a 10% discount for additional moves within the next 6 months. DeJuan left me a Simple Moves brochure, pen, magnet, business card and a comment card. I received a 10% discount with a coupon from Angie's List Magazine.

As soon as they arrived, the movers got to work. They just kept going and got the truck loaded (very packed) in a matter of minutes. They wrapped all of the furniture to protect it and were very friendly. At the new apartment, they put every box where we wanted it. They put the bed back together and unwrapped and moved the other furniture. In less than two hours she was moved. Wonderful guys, wonderful company.

Per request, the office called and gave us a heads-up that the movers were on their way. The two movers arrived and were very cordial and professional. They explained the pricing and procedure, and completed the move in 35 minutes. The only slip of the experience was that they called me as there was confusion about the storage facility that they were dropping off the items at. They were not far off track and we had paid a flat rate for travel so we were not put out. They were very professional and efficient at the drop-off of the items. We were pleased with the experience overall.

Incredible! I called to schedule an appointment at my convenience. The men arrived early, went right to work and kept going. They were very polite and professional. This is the third time that I have used Simple Moves and I will use them again!

It went great. I called on a Tuesday and hoped they would schedule for the next day. Got a return call within 2 hours and scheduled for the next day between 11-2. (Hooray) They called to tell me they were on their way (at noon), took exactly 1 hour to complete the move. They were courteous and very efficient. Nice guys & in uniform. Was able to use Angie's List coupon & piano very successfully moved.

We had one unexpected complication. I added more items than I reported would be packed, and the POD size was tight. The dining room chairs did not fit into the wardrobe boxes and had to be wrapped in blankets and put atop other things. They suggested I go to a store and buy a pack of the straps that clip into the sides to secure things more. We did and I anxiously await the report from my daughter about the condition of their arrival.

OK. We used a crew of 3 which was a good idea. They were friendly and helpful. The truck was probably too small for my move so it involved a number of trips.

Gave a range in time from 1:00 to 4:00. Called to say that they might be a little late, but arrived before 4:00. Said that I could tip them. I did but was uncomfortable with this.

These guys were great! They were strong, careful and very courteous. They are well worth the cost when you need to depend on something being done on time and carefully.

The movers called during the time window to let us know they were on their way. They arrived about 15 minutes later. They assessed what needed to be done and reviewed fee structure and policies. Only after approval, they began working. In order to make the move easier, they removed the back door and stair hand rail (at no extra charge). The whole move took about 25 minutes. They then replaced the door and at our request, left the hand rail off. They accepted a credit card payment which was called in to their main office. An itemized receipt was given to us. We did not find any damages to our items or home.

I couldn't have been more happier from the time they arrived to when the work was done. They were very careful with what they moved for me. They were right within their estimate. Everything was just perfect.

The two-man team arrived on time and listened attentively as I described the work. Then they executed my instructions. We had estimated that I would need only the minimum time they will accept for a job, and they finished everything I had assigned before the time was up. So, I asked them to move other items that I wanted to have rearranged. I got more work than I expected in the time allotted. And, the items, including a heavy, glass-topped table, were moved without any damage.

Move went smoothly, nothing damaged or left behind. Came in under budget.

They showed up when they said they would come on time. They were careful and didn't break any of the furniture. Also they did all the work for a reasonable price.

We purchased an armoire from a store that does not offer delivery service. Simple Moves was able to schedule us the next day and did a great job. The movers were friendly, courteous, and worked very efficiently. They were very careful with everything while in our home. We will definitely hire them again!

Great experience! Shawn and Tim worked very quickly and efficiently to get everything relocated, and then drove over to the Goodwill store to drop off the items to be donated. I was very impressed with the quality of work and their professional attitude.

Movers showed up when promised with all the necessary manpower and equipment. Everyone was clean, professional, and extremely polite. They identified all the items to be moved and were very accommodating for an extra item that wasn't included in the quote. The movers walked through a plan on how to move the items and then reviewed the contract and cost before starting. The move was quick and I was highly impressed with their performance (I used another company in the past and Simple Moves was head and shoulders above them). When completed, they cleaned up and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. In short, this was one of the best companies I have ever used and would highly recommend them as I would use them again in a New York minute for anything from room-to-room moves to an entire relocation. They were awesome!

They had a great rate and showed up on time. But the guys they sent out, John and Willie, were careless. Their trucks had a walk board but they didn't install it. They ended up dropped my washing machine out of the back of the truck when they were unloading. It fell about a foot to the ground. They told me they accepted checks, and when they showed up they said they also accept tips and when he was leaving, he was stalling waiting for me to tip him. Why would I tip them when they dropped my washing machine? They have competitive prices and just a one-hour minimum compared to the three-hour minimum most companies have but I still don't think I can recommend them.
