Simple Moves

How does this company have such a great rating? The woman that answered the phone was rude from the moment she picked up. Having never used a moving service before I had some general questions, all of which she would not answer and continually rushed me off the phone. If service is this bad before you pay how is it after? Yikes

Went as planned. The movers were very concerned with satisfying what we needed. Were able to easily move a 2 refrigerators and a couch. They had to walk around back to a walkout basement and didn't miss a beat. The movers were Armon Simpson & Carlos Williams.

The two gentlemen that moved the furniture items were very professional and were very careful not to scratch anything. They were very punctual as well.

Crew arrived on time; the movers were courteous and professional. A mattress foundation was forgotten so the movers and myself had to return to get it which was 32 miles each way. I asked that I be credited for my time and gas but was told that if I wasn't agreeable to going back for it without compensation they would just not get it. I was driving a borrowed truck and felt since it was an error on their part that they should give me a credit. I had not yet moved into the new property and because of the additional time involved in returning for the missed item, I had to hurry to an appointment and I did not have time to look over the items that were moved. Several days later when I was able to return, I found scratches and dents in some of the furniture.

They did a great job. It worked out real good. As a matter of fact they worked until it was dark. My wife handled all this. I think it was a good price. She called several companies. It was two or three guys and they worked two to three hours, maybe more. As a matter of fact, we plan to use them in the future. We moved half the contents of our house to the new house. We still half of our contents in the old house. We will be moving with them again on this coming Thursday.

The move went very smoothly. Duane and Julian were prompt (in fact, running early, but they called earlier in the day to make sure that was OK), courteous, friendly, and helpful. They had to figure out how to get some really large heavy things down our stairs, which involved a little bit of engineering, but everything was moved safely. We are very happy with the service.

Movers were clean and polite. One gentleman was clearly handing multiple teams at once as he had to stop to take/make calls several times during the service. Movers seemed slightly awkward like they weren't sure how to go about moving things from one level to the next. Overall a thorough job and finished in the minimal billable time (although a slightly more organized crew likely could have completed the work in half the time-based on the gentlemen that brought in a purchase the week prior).

Actual work went great and would recommend the work!!!!

If I could rate it a 0 I would! We hired Simple Moves because my parents used them and were pretty happy (stuff got damaged but they are supposedly fixing the piece) , plus I went to school with, Chris (the owner) and he said he would 'take care of me'. We were moving out of state and needed loaders. Yes, I signed something saying they were not liable for our stuff since they were not driving it to GA. What I didn't realize is that meant they would not even try to load our truck properly. They basically threw the stuff in there and since they have no liability well who cares if it's done right. The unloaders in ATL were VERY surprised when I told them we had 'professionals' load the truck. Not only was our stuff damaged or completely broken, but they also loaded gas and lighter fluid (illegal) that spilled on some of our boxes and we had to throw stuff away! Thankfully, we only had one of the trucks loaded by them. When I called to let them know they did not apologize and said that's why they get the waiver signed, no accountability. Protect your stuff hire anyone else!

Workers were extremely committed. They work by the hour, but they were always focused and fast. They were mostly very good. The newest member of the crew had a few times when he just plopped items down without much care but that was late in the day when they were tired. We have moved many times and they are among the better movers we have seen.

Not only did Simple Moves carry furniture with relative ease, but they were also very nice and cheery about doing it. I would definitely use them again!

I called this company after reading some of the great reviews on Angie's List. However, I was extremely disappointed by how unprofessional and lack of training their office employees are. Kristina was the girl who answered the phone. After I told her that we needed an estimate for moving our family, she insisted that I send a complete list of everything to be moved. I asked if she was joking as we had a 5-bedroom house of over 4,000 sq ft. She said they had to have a list of things to be moved. Realizing I was wasting my time with her, I asked to speak to a manager. A man named Bill got on the phone and told me "I'm the big manager of this place." I told him Kristina could probably use better training as it was absurd to ask a customer to make a full list of household items to be moved when we were talking about a large home. He proceeded to say she was trained to ask for the list because sometimes people just needed specific items moved, ignoring my comment that we needed a whole household moved. When I asked him about moving our piano, he said, unlike other companies in town, they don't charge extra for moving pianos. I said I had a quote from another company that didn't charge extra for moving the piano either. This was when Bill flipped into an attacking mode and said "I don't want to do business with you if you are just going to criticize us!" I asked him to go and listen to the recording of our call as I did not criticize the company. I was simply telling him I had another quote that included moving piano at no extra charge. I am not sure if it's because Bill the "big manager" has an extra fragile self-esteem on top of not being able to properly train his staff....or perhaps the company has an office culture of not valuing customer service at all? Either way I don't think I will risk placing my full household items in their hands!

It went smoothly! The men that arrived, Carlos Williams, Wayne Mason, Darion McKenzie and Aaron Hall, were warm, friendly, and professional! They packed us up, loaded the trucks, drove to our new home, unpacked, brought in the furniture and set it up as directed. They made it look effortless! Our old home, our new home and our furniture were treated gently and carefully. I would recommend this company without hesitation. I used them on recommendation of a friend who was also very pleased! Thank you Simple Moves for a job well done!!!!

My experience with Simple Moves was great. Will and Kemond are top notch professionals and I would recommend them to anyone needing a move. They work hard and know how to get the job done quickly, efficiently, and smart. They packed the truck artfully and everything arrived without a hitch - I did not have any breaks, dents, scratches, or rips on any of my furniture. On top of that, they are very personable and are great guys to get to know. First time using Simple Moves, won't be my last.

Simple Moves was very easy to work with from the beginning. The woman I spoke with on the phone to schedule everything was very helpful and straightforward. The two men who came to move our furniture, Will Barry and Kemond Cox, were very professional and did a wonderful job! We wouldn't hesitate to use this company again and will be glad to recommend them to anyone who needs help moving!

The move went so so well. The two movers were exceptionally professional and worked with diligence. They handled my furniture and other items moved with great care. At the outset, I filled out a form form the company listed what items would be involved in the move and received a quote from them. The price I paid at the end of the service was right on target with their quote. All my items arrive in perfect condition. Would hire them again in an New York minute

Great, except the two gentlemen said they were not told what the move entailed. Very polite gentleman. Gave there expertise on moving .

There was a parade blocking their route and they were absolutely amazing while working with me to get around the closed roads. They were very easy to work with and very understanding to the pain of having to reroute themselves. I would SURELY RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN!

Better than great! We are so happy. Jeffrey and Edward worked fast, smart and were very strong. This is definitely money well spent.

Sam and Wayne were great. Called when they were on their way to start the move and showed within then the time that was provided to us. The move went very smoothly and they were great to work with. I would definitely call them for my next move and request Sam and Wayne.

Wayne and Jeff arrived promptly and were fast, professional, thorough, and very friendly. They did a superb job on all counts, very much including excellent protective wrapping and care of nine framed paintings and a sculpture. In addition, the move was set up and timed well by the company staff member with whom we scheduled it over the phone. We had the exact info for him on 30-plus pieces and to which destination each was going, and he took it all down fast and accurately and gave us an immediate time and dollars estimate. This is the second time in a row we've used Simple Moves and certainly would recommend them very highly.
