Simple Moves

Duane and Jerry of Simple Moves were very professional and accomodating. They did a wonderful job wrapping and moving some very heavy furniture, being careful not to leave any scratches or nicks. They were outstanding and I highly recommend their services.

Fabulous.Ralphel Lewis ( R.J. ) and Carlos Williams did a great job. They were careful with all of our items and were very professional. They did exactly what I asked of them and I will be recommending them to others, along with using them myself if we need another move. I’ve had many professional moves through the years where my husband’s company paid too dollar for the move. These gentlemen were just as professional as those I’ve had in the past and I’m quite sure the dollar amount was considerably less.

It was wonderful carols and arron did a job. They moved my items and valuables with care. I will recommend them to family and friends.

This is our 3rd time using Simple Moves for moving within the last 7 months time and each time the staff and service has been wonderful. This most recent visit Carlos Williams and Aaron Hall were a great team!

It was easy to get an appointment. The movers took great care with my china cabinet, wrapped and protected it appropriately. They, however, did not do any wrapping to my two leather/vinyl sofas. They stacked the sofas on top of each other in the truck. The movers literally tried shoving the sofa (without any protection) through the front door instead of measuring to see if it would fit (it wouldn't). Needless to say, there were many rips and abrasions on the sofa. I called the owner, he apologized for the carelessness of his moving team and sent out a company (FiberNew) to fix the sofas. Fibernew did a great job and the sofas look great. Everything worked out in the end, but it was a hassle to get there.

It was horrible. The drivers arrived 30mins late with no call. I called the office got Christine who wasn't concerned what so ever. I spoke with a gentleman that apologized and said i had one of the best crews the company had. When the guys got there they smelled like marijuana. The lead i said to him you all been smoking. I couldnt cancel because everyone else was booked up and i had to get moved. When they started they were moving pretty good (high and all). Now this isnt the 1st time I've done this so I know the process. The lead said they estimated 4 1/2hrs, I had all beds, tables, and tv stands broken down its not going to take that much time 2 1/2hrs max. I had to keep going in to get them to stop standing around talking. They play basketball they talked about who was at the game the night before about Vegas. There's nothing wrong with talking but when we're paying you 3men by the hour standing around talking is the last thing you want to do. One guy kept going to the truck eating chips i take it he had the munchies. When the job finally got done which was 3hrs later I came them the coupon i had that i got of Angies list (they knew i had it in advance) the coupon states anything over 150.00 10% off. What they tried to do is take the couch is 10% off then add the 99.00 travel. I spoke with a manager Carnell he was totally unhelpful. He eventually stated that 10% could be taken off the total. I informed him off the guys smoking weed the constant stopping and socializing, he seemed very unconcerned. I asked to speak with someone higher up and Cornell said there wasnt anyone available. I asked to have someone call me back, that was 11/30/17 still no follow up.The lead stated hes been with company 5years and they can drop him all day long. I use to smoke over 14 years ago so i know you can pass a drug test. Seeing that these are the type of people they have working for them this is a company i choose not to do business with and ive already let others know. My couch is light grey they didnt wrap it it was filthy when we got settled , my microwave was damaged, and a few other small things i chose to let it go. Its not worth the hassle.

Very well. The moves, Jessie Wofford and Anthony Helem, did a good job, they were polite and respectful, and careful with our belongings.

Fine. I would have appreciated a tighter time frame for estimating arrival, rather than a 4 hr span.

We used Simple Moves to move a Washer and dryer as well as a loveseat. Everything went smoothly. Carlos W. and Cornell H. were great to work with. Very careful and friendly. Thank you.

It went well, Carlos and Ramon called ahead of time and arrived when they said they would. They took the time to look at the couch and then plan out how they would get it downstairs through a narrow stairwell turn. It worked perfectly with no damage to the couch or to the stairwell. Both Carlos and Ramon were courteous and pleasant gentlemen and I would use them again without hesitation.

Move went well. BUT! BUYER BEWARE! Cornell came out right away and told me this hard job could be done. I told him I wanted 4 men for 1 hour. He said $198 an hour for 4 men. Never mentioned an additional $99 fee for travel time. Found that out when the guys got here and moved the piece successfully. I paid it - $$297 for ONE HOUR! I tipped each guy $40! And then I get a phone call from Simple Moves that I have to pay ANOTHER $100 for two trucks! Trucks to move a piece a piece from downstairs to upstairs? Two trucks? Reported them to the Better Business Bureau. DON’T USE THEM! RIP OFF!!!!!!!!

The guys were great. They arrived when they said. Worked straight thru without a break.

Carlos and Arman, with a trainee named Anthony, moved me four miles with half a truck in under two hours. They arrived on time, assessed the job, and worked ceaselessly until they were finished. I especially liked how they shrink-wrapped all the dressers so I didn't have to empty them of clothing. It was a very hot day, but they never complained. And there was absolutely no damage. They even warned me about a lamp I was moving that was slightly cracked (not their doing) so that I could move it in my car and not risk it breaking further. That lamp made it safely and is sitting in my living room today.

Not well. The estimator, who I believe is the owner Chris, gave me a bid of $1800 after coming to my house and reviewing in detail what was to be moved and packed. He also estimated the time for the move would be one day. He arranged for 2 trucks and 4 men to do the move. On the morning of the move only one truck and 2 men showed up and the movers were extremely distressed by the scope of the move and expressed that they could not do it in one day. They were unaware that another truck was on the way but when the other crew arrived they too expressed concern about the ability to complete the job. Everybody involved was very polite and nice but they simply seemed overwhelmed. The job in fact did end up taking 2 days and another crew had to come the 2nd day to complete the move. The crew on the first day did not leave my new home until 10:30 p.m. and it took the 2nd crew from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on the second day and they did not even move everything that had been included in the estimate. For example, they were to have moved patio furniture consisting of a large round metal table and 6 metal chairs, the entertainment system and the washer and dryer. Because of frustration in dealing with them, I did not have them move any of that. In lieu of that work I had them move some pictures--approximately 30-- that were not part of the original bid. The total cost of the job ended up being in excess of $3,300 and while they have agreed to give me a refund of $500, I have not yet received that. While this company may be fine for a very simple move, I would not use them for anything complicated. I think the problem was the estimator simply wasn't qualified to accurately estimate the scope and complexity of the move and while the moving personnel were very accommodating, I don't think they were trained as well as they could've been.If you want to talk to some very nice people, by all means talk to them. Don't give them a large moving job to complete though.If you do elect to use them, get a written, signed firm bid. I asked Chris to provide one but he didn't do it and in the confusion leading up to the move I failed to follow up with him. That is admittedly my oversight.

I used Simple Moves for a recent move from a condo to a home. They damaged several items and the movers moved very slowly. When I tipped them, the young man responded very rudely to me. Management has been somewhat responsive to the issues.

The two movers, Mike and Jerome seemed very capable, courteous and helpful. They seemed to wrap items well and managed to take more items than we expected. They were able to include some items we thought we'd have to transport via carloads. One glitch was their GPS sent them to wrong location but they did not charge us for the extra time that the delay took. We found a couple minor scratches/damages on 3 items that probably happened during transport or moving but have reported that. Quite happy with the service and experience.

It went smoothly and the two men worked quickly and efficiently. They were also pleasant and careful.

They were good, but still waiting to hear from the rebate that you guys offer. They charged me and they're supposed to rebate me 10% and haven't done that yet. As far as the service and everything, they were great. What I paid, I forgot about the 10% coupon, I told them and wrote it down, they said they would rebate. I called them up and they said they were going to get on it and I haven't checked back in to see. I didn't check and see if they did. Other than that, everything was really good. The two guys, they were terrific. It was very efficient and hassle-free. They did everything I asked them to do.
