Description of Work: They didn't allow enough time so they didn't move everything from one apt. to another. They put a big scratch in my buffet & denied doing it, but it wasn't there before they came.

Description of Work: The original communications with this group were clunky. I filled out the form from Angie's list but when they communicated back to me, they didn't seem to have the information. So, a couple e-mails in and I finally filled out a completely different form on their website. They still didn't seem to pay attention to the information I had given them. I needed two guys to help move items from a POD on my driveway into my home. I told them that three over 50 year olds had taken two hours to move the itmes into the POD so I was sure it would be less to remove them. They scheduled three guys, for two hours, and a moving truck. The guys who came were pleasant, one worked really hard, one worked hard, one worked some. But they got the job done easily within one hour so I only paid for one hour at the rate I was told. They showed up early, they were careful with my items and I enjoyed my interaction with each of them. | |Although there was some inefficiency in the contracting process, the actual moving process went well.

Description of Work: I used Simple Moves last fall when my house sold. The furniture was moved to a storage unit while my new house was being completed. I had a very good experience - on time, professional, met expectation, courteous, etc. Due to this fact, I contacted them again to move me into my new home. They called 15 minutes before their one hour window deadline to say they would be around 45 minutes late. They then called to say their GPS died and I had to go find them about 5 miles away and bring them to the storage facility. They brought a 26' truck and could not even get a 20' storage unit that was not full loaded into it. The office said all of my goods should have easily fit into the truck - including some overflow in a smaller unit. They were so slow i actually went into the unit and started handing boxes to them! They ended up doing part of the work, taking more than 1.5 hours longer than planned and then i had to finish the move myself over another 2 days. Would not go through them again.

Description of Work: Simple moves was a great experience. Their customer service was outstanding. The movers showed up on time, their work was outstanding and they actually completed the job faster than anticipated and adjusted the fee accordingly. I would highly recommend them for your moves.

Description of Work: Simple Moves picked up a large daybed at my Mom's in Washington, MO, and delivered it to my daughter's house in Grover. The guys were punctual, professional, and well-prepared for the job. I met them at our daughter's house, and was very pleased. My mom was also pleased with their work.

Description of Work: Simple Moves moved furniture from the house to a storage unit so that the floors could be done. They moved half of the furniture from our house.

Description of Work: They showed up in the time frame and moved everything to our satisfaction. They were courteous and caring as we were moving some items because of my Mom's recent death.

Description of Work: I never got a response from this company. Very disappointed. Needed to use their kind of service in the very immediate future.The service date I mentioned was the day I contacted them via Angie's List. Someone has a washer and dryer that I can have , but I needed to find a mover in order to get it picked up. I'm not even sure that the items are available anymore.

Description of Work: Simple Moves loaded a rental truck for a move out of state. They arrived on time, and loaded the truck promptly and efficiently, despite the 95+ temp. There were a couple of item that could have been better loaded. However, we did our own packing and it was our responsibility to pack correctly, they just loaded what we packed.

Description of Work: We purchased a dining room set at an estate sale. We were required to removed the furniture by no later than Tuesday, 3/23/10. We contacted Simple Moves on Sunday, 3/21/10 and scheduled the move for late afternoon on Monday. Simple Moves contacted us early in the afternoon and said they could do the job earlier. They arrived at the destination at 2:15 and finished at 3:15. The movers, Shawn & Jesse, were very professional in their handling of the furniture. They were also very neat in appearance and friendly. They represented Simple Moves very well. We would recommend this company to anyone!

Description of Work: My husband and I thought we could move some furniture we bought from the store to our basement using our van. The furniture turned out to be way too heavy for us to move though we got 3 of the 4 pieces to our driveway. The 4th piece would not fit in our van. I called simple moves and they had three men with a truck at the store to pick up the 4th piece of furniture within a matter of hours. They brought that piece to our house and got all four pieces in our basement in one hour. It was amazing. That furniture was so heavy and it was such a hot day and the movers were very friendly and careful and didn't complain once. Plus it was much less expensive than other estimates we got. We were very pleased.
