Horrific experience. Sent by a warranty company. Would give zero stars if I could. Secretary gets off on arguing and causing disagreements rather than answering simple questions.

This company was assigned by my Home Warranty Company when I put in a claim for warranty work for the non functioning air conditioner. It started out that I was to receive a call to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. After three days I called Sierra Mechanical Services to make the appointment since they had not called me. This Service call was initiated on July 17th with the Home Warranty Company. I was unable to get this Company out until July 27th at which time the service technician determined that there was no refrigerant in the system and without checking further inserted some leak sealant and added refrigerant. This lasted two days and then no A/C. I called Warranty Company and they reopened the claim. Waited five days for return visit. On Aug 4th the service technician determined that the system had a leak in the coil and a new coil needed to be ordered. This took until Aug 17th to be installed. During the nearly six hours it took the service technician to install the new coil he was mumbling and complaining about someone apparently at his office he was not happy with. I quite frankly didn't care to listen so I tried to ignore the complaining hoping he'd finish soon. Once done the A/C lasted three more days and again no cool air. I once again on Aug 20th called the Warranty Company to inform them the system once again failed. They again reopened the claim and I called Sierra Mechanical demanding a quick response. They scheduled someone to return to my home the next day on Aug 21st between 8:00 and 12:00 in the morning. I literally sat in my living room reading a book for four hours so that I would not miss them since I know the doorbell didn't work I would hear the knocking at the door. At 11:45 am I received a call from the Warranty Company on behalf of Sierra Mechanical Services that the service technician was at my home and that no one was home to answer the door and no one answered the phone. I never left the living room and both my house phone and cell phone was next to me and neither rang nor was there an indication of a missed call or voicemail left on either. But I received the call from the Warranty Company. I then immediately called Sierra Mechanical Services and they refused to send the technician back. I hung up on them and called the Warranty Company and demanded this Company be relieved from the claim and send me another Service Company which they did and was able to get someone out the same afternoon. Hopefully this new Service Company will resolve the A/C issue quickly.
Description of Work: No cool air produced from central air conditioner.

They were very professional and kept everything very organized and clean while they preformed the work. They were less expensive than the their competitors and had no issue answering any question while they worked. I would not hesitate to give them my business again. Thank you Dave!

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Do NOT use this company
Description of Work: I spent $8,000.00 + on a new HVAC system with this company. They noted that I would receive 3 additional MERV 11 air filters (NEVER RECEIVED), they noted that I would get a 10 year warranty on the system (AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THE PAPERWORK) and they installed the whole house humidifier wrong (I TRIED TO GET THEM TO COME FIX IT AND THE LADY ON THE PHONE KEPT SETTING UP APPOINTMENTS THAT NOBODY EVER SHOWED UP FOR). I have been having major problems with the heater, the **** thing isn't even paid off and I have NO idea what to do. I do NOT want this company back in my home EVER AGAIN.

They found a used part to put in my air conditioner, and demanded a check up front. I was not happy and would not use them again.
Description of Work: Waited three weeks and I was not happy with their service at all. Replaced compressor in my air conditioning.

Description of Work: Home warranty "preferred provider" referred for an a/c fan that wouldn't shut off. Took over three weeks to resolve. 1st service tech said we needed a special part to be ordered. After 2+ weeks of back and forth phone calls and being told the part should be in several different times, the 2nd Tech showed up to the rescheduled appointment having no knowledge of the part needed. Turned out that the part wasn't needed and he was able to fix it by reviewing the system's basic wiring. Took him 15 minutes. The 2nd guy was fine, but the overall service of that company was horrendous. Our blower ran for over 3 weeks because the first tech didn't evaluate the problem properly. We had to make a second call to address a separate issue and when the warranty company wanted to use this provider, we cancelled our claim. If the mission was to be as difficult as possible to discourage future claims, then mission accomplished. The only reason this got a "d" instead of "f" was because the 2nd guy resolved the problem.
